This study examines the employment conditions and labour experience of elementary after-school care teachers in South Korea. Based on the empirical data collected through in-depth interviews with after-school care teachers in Gwangju Metropolitan City, the study considers multifaceted problems faced by after-school care teachers in their workplace. The after-school care class is part of educational policies initiated and rapidly expanded by the Ministry of Education, resulting in the substantial increase of non-regular school workers. The irregularization of after-school care teachers illustrates that the common problems faced by female non-regular workers, such as social discrimination, exclusion and inequality, are also transplanted into the typical public sector. In the case of Gwangju Metropolitan City, during the past two years there have been evident increases both in under 15-hour short time contract care teachers and outsourcing of care classes. Temporary part-time contract care teachers suffer relentless job insecurity and experience poor working conditions, exclusion and discrimination within the workplace and labour alienation. In order to minimize the organized resistance of care teachers, school authorities implicitly individualize and isolate care teachers through hierarchization, the division of labour and the spatial division of classes between indefinite and temporary contract teachers.
The purpose of this study is to show practices of teaching method based on the type of knowledge in geography education. The results of examining the type of knowledge according to the five themes in guidelines for geographic education in america are as follows: the empirical-analytic knowledge-centered contents are suited for designing concepts inquiry-centered teaching. The historical-hermeneutic knowledge-centered contents are suited for designing problem solving-centered teaching. The critical knowledge-centered contents are suited for designing decision-making-centered teaching. In this shsdy, 1 emphasized teaching method based on the type of knowledge in Ceographv Education according to the responses of students and academic achievement. In the current school curriculum, an alternative assessment method which focuses more on the problem solving process rather than the final solution is being investigated. The goal is to evaluate students' understanding of the subject. A descriptive evaluation is being suggested as a way of examining the thought process of the students by a structured analysis of the problem solving process. But currently, there are not enough descriptive problems available for teachers to effectively carry out the alternative assessment method in the elementary school mathematics curriculum. In this research, we surveyed 197 elementary school teachers in Seoul to determine the status of descriptive evaluation in elementary school mathematics and to understand the teachers perception about the new assessment method. The goal of the survey was to find an effective implication of the new assessment method in elementary mathematics classes. The research showed that the elementary teachers use this assessment method about 4 to 7 times per month in their classes. They give descriptive problem test anytime they think it is appropriate during the Instruction of the topic. More than 90% of the teachers were using this assessment method to improve students' creativity and mathematical thinking. The teachers in the survey also commented that the teachers' administrative responsibility should be reduced and that the school environment in general should be improved for the new assessment method to be successful. Finally the study also showed that development of more descriptive problems in each grade level is needed to progress the new assessment method.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the difficulties of science classes experienced by newly appointed elementary school teachers in terms of science content knowledge and teaching method, and to suggest some implications for their effective adaptation. We recorded science lessons conducted by 3 beginning elementary school teachers with less than 5 years experience and also analyzed their classes and interview materials. The results were as follows. First, difficulties that they experienced in science content knowledge was the possession of scientific errors or misconceptions, the lack of awareness and confidence in scientific concepts and principles, and the possession of negative concept about learning materials. Second, difficulties that they experienced in teaching method was the absence of reorganization of the textbook contents, using closed questions, one-sided instructions and explanations by teacher, the application of incomplete analogy, and the lack of understanding about experiment activities. The implication from this study is that beginning teachers need to be provided with curriculum oriented in experiment at teachers college and to participate in various types of educational opportunities.

Fourth, as for graduates' career status, the employment rates of the entire university students and students who participated in business were lower than the rate of students who entered schools of higher grade.
The purpose of this study is to review the trends of international and domestic research in mathematics education for social justice and to present the meanings to the mathematics education in Korean mathematics education. For Korean mathematics educators and teachers, interest and research in mathematics education for social justice is still insufficient. For this study, the researcher analyzed the concerned research on mathematics education for social justice. According to the study, international research on social justice were started with Freire's critical mathematics education in the 1970s and has been actively conducted from various perspectives and has been applied to their mathematics lessons. However, domestic studies on mathematics education for social justice have recently been started. The implications of mathematics education for social justice is that it provides an opportunity for reflection on traditional mathematics lessons and enables integration and convergence with humanities perspective. This approach can also foster a positive attitude toward mathematics and deepen the view of mathematics and the world of teachers and students. The researcher proposed to include mathematics education for social justice in Korean mathematics curriculum and textbooks, support teachers' professionalism by teacher training programs, and continue to develop a more sophisticated education model through practical applications.
This study explored the factors that influence elementary school teachers' intention to use an artificial intelligence (AI) math learning system and analyzed the interactions and relationships among these factors. Based on the technology acceptance model, perceived usefulness for math learning, perceived ease of use of AI, and attitude toward using AI were analyzed as the main variables. Data collected from a survey of 215 elementary school teachers was used to analyze the relationships between the variables using structural equation modeling. The results of the study showed that perceived usefulness for math learning and perceived ease of use of AI significantly influenced teachers' positive attitudes toward AI math learning systems, and positive attitudes significantly influenced their intention to use AI. These results suggest that it is important to positively change teachers' perceptions of the effectiveness of using AI technology in mathematics instruction and their attitudes toward AI technology in order to effectively adopt and utilize AI-based mathematics education tools in the future.

Recently, there has been an effort to convert standardized educational system to customized one considering students' individual differences and aptitude. Flipped learning has been regarded as a teaching method fitting to this movement and has gained much interest by educators. Despite its increasing interest, its studies fall short in the quantity above all. This study investigated the concept of flipped learning and explored its educational value in terms of student' and teacher' perspectives. The study also examined the requirements to apply flipped learning to its practice. Flipped learning was found to accomplish mastery learning and to promote interaction between teacher and students and also peer-to-peer interaction. It was expected to reduce the burden of teacher's duties and secure his or her interest in students and the tutorial time for individual students. Essential elements in its application in practice included students' voluntary participation, the consent of their parents and support from their school and government. In addition, teachers' professional development was found to be important to improve their understanding and application of flipped learning in practice.

To maximize educational effect with new educational methods in the 4th Industrial Revolution era, immersive education has become the core type of education and virtual reality (VR) is at the center of realistic content. VR education is increasing in school, but researches on VR production education are insufficient. Our study has proposed a school-level curriculum for students to create their own VR content. The output and the survey results were analyzed to find out the learner characteristics of elementary school students, middle school students, and pre-service teachers at each school level. As a result, there were some noticeable differences in concentration, content subject, and production time according to school level. Primary school students focused on their subjects, middle school students related to learning, and pre-service teachers put top priority on contents useful for primary education.
