The purpose of this study was to develop indicators for information and communication technology(ICT) use in elementary education, which are useful tools for forecasting and deciding the policy of education in the society of information technology. We analyzed prior studies on information and communication indicators, and suggested a survey forms to collect data and an equation for each indicator in order to calculate an index from the data without additional survey-cost. They can be intended to be explored on definitions of ICT use in education, indicators for ITC use in elementary education, illustration of utilizing the indicators, and an analysis of differences among schools on the indicators.

This study examined how elementary teachers perceive and use "problem-posing" as a way to improve students' problem-solving skills in their mathematics classrooms. In the study, a total of 193 teachers in metropolitan areas were surveyed and a subset of 4 teachers were selected for depth-interviews. Results of the study included that teachers did not have a clear understanding of the study included that teachers did not have a clear understanding of the intended meaning of "problem-posing" although many of them have heard about the idea itself. Therefore, "problem-posing" was not fully utilized in their mathematics instructional and assessment. It is suggested that there is a need to develop instructional materials and related professional development of teachers for better instruction of problem-posing in the mathematics classroom.

The purpose of this study is to examine the current status of ICT education in elementary school and find ways of its improvement. For the purpose, this researcher surveyed elementary school teachers. Results of the survey suggested that ICT education would enhance self-oriented learning skills and contribute to providing creative, competent human resources for information-oriented society, if ICT-related training is provided to teachers, educational environment for ICT use is improved, substantial curriculum and materials of ICT education are arranged and if teachers having basic skills and experiences in ICT education are secured.

Though the demand of foreign laborer in the labor market of domestic construction is increasing, systems for managing and supervising them are insufficient. The object of this study is to provide practical basic data to establish a system or a policy for efficient use of foreign laborers in the domestic construction industry. With the subjects of domestic laborers, who served in the domestic construction field, the actual state of using foreign laborers and the problems were investigated, and the existing employment system for foreign laborers and the recognition on plan for improving policy were analyzed

Due to increased demand for remodeling and repair in construction market in recent year, the usage of horse scaffold is increasing in the indoor finish works. Injuries related horse scaffold are mainly caused by poor installation or of careless handling of scaffold. Approximately 300 workers are injuried at construction site every year, it is accounting for about 1.5% of the total construction sector and has increased on a year-to-year trends. But the main contents between national standards and speccifications related to the manufacture and usage of horse scaffolds are mutually inconsistent, In particular, the rules on occupational safety and health standards are the basis for the prevention of industrial injuries, there is no explicit application being made to the horse scaffold commonly used on construction sites. The purpose of this study was to analye the manufacture and usage situations in order to reduce construction injuries that occur at the horse scaffolds. It will be utilized the results of the analysis as the basis data for unifying the major domestic standards and specifications associated with the manufacture and usage of horse scaffold.

This study presents the useful information for manufacturing industry-based development strategies at which Kangwondo province should aim, using the existing survey materials, interviews, and questionnaires. To analyze the technological competitive level of major eight enterprises in Kangwondo province, a synthetic evaluation has been conducted for areas such as new technology development, product development, production technology, and technological competitiveness. The study reveals that, among the technological competitiveness related factors, the managing status of business results, comparing analysis of business results, the applications of industrial property right, the registration of industrial property right, and the domestic and foreign certification show lower level than the other factors.

Electrofusion(EF) joints have been widely used as they are easy to fuse and suitable for high-quality joints for polyethylene(PE) pipes. This paper studies the cause of defects and classifies 5 types of defects. The defect detection technique for electrofusion joints of polyethylene piping is utilized by the ultrasonic phased array technique to obtain ultrasonic images of electrofusion joints. Test sample joints have been designed and fabricated using artificial defects which were made using paper. Finally, we studied the condition of electrofusion in the field and analyzed the main causes of defects. And we classified the defect types as local lack of fusion, sand inclusion, voids or air inclusion, short stab, excess penetration or excess bead.

최근 정보통신 서비스의 제공 영역은 댁내로 그 초점이 맞추어지고 있다. 특히 우리나라 거주 환경은 주로 아파트 등에 의한 공동주택이므로 초고속 정보통신 서비스를 댁내로 효과적으로 유입하려면 이에 적합한 연계 시설이 이루어져야 한다. 최근의 통신기술은 나날이 발전하고 있어 기존의 전화망 설비를 기반으로 하더라도 새로운 네트워크 구성 방식이 요구되고 있기 때문에 댁내(공동주택 구내)의 통신설비 또한 새로운 양상으로 진화되고 있다. 이러한 댁내통신설비의 수용을 위하여는 그 확보 공간과 최적의 운용을 위한 환경이 마련되어야 한다. 본 논문에서 다루고자 하는 내용은 댁내통신설비의 설치 공간과 운용환경 중에서도 특히 운용환경에 대한 것으로서 위와 같은 새로운 초고속통신망 서비스 수용을 원활히 이룰 수 있도록 기존의 열악한 환경을 개선하고 적절한 환경 기준 또는 표준을 마련하기 위하여 댁내통신설비와 관련된 국제표준 중심의 각종 기준들을 분석하고 이에 더하여 실제의 공동주택 현장에서의 실태를 조사 분석하여 그 개선 방안을 절충함으로써 앞으로의 댁내통신설비 기술의 발전 추세에 발맞추고자 한 것이다.

The purpose of this study is to research the actual condition of working environment, working clothes and personal protective equipments on workers at a construction site in winter. The one to one interview by questionnaire was performed with 33 males and 2 females workers of a construction site in Daegu at $1.3^{\circ}C$ air temperature, 28% R.H., 4.7m/sec air velocity. The questionnaire consisted of 21 questions including 4 personal characteristics questions, 12 working environment/performance questions and 5 working clothes/personal protective equipments questions. It was modified from the original questionnaire developed by Finnish Institute Occupational Health. We found that physical stress of workers increased and the ability of performance decreased. The workers felt the coldest at hands/fingers, feet/toes and the face part of cheek, nose and ears. They rarely wore thermal clothing for winter and answered that the thermal gloves for winter did not provided enough warmth. Even if the workers recognized the necessity of personal protective equipments for their safety, they did not wear them for efficiency of working performance. These results will be useful elementary materials for development of working clothes and personal protective equipments from the viewpoint of improving both working performance and comfort.

Construction accident have been increasing in despite of safety management activities and education in construction site. This study surveyed safety organization, education, safety management, scheduling, safety checklist with construction firms in order to grasp the actual condition. A improved method is suggested that safety checklist is supplemented with various safety materials and then stored as database. Furthermore, safety checklists are connected and operated with schedule in ender to more efficiently prevent construction accidents.
