Nowadays to thrive on the intensively competitive environments based on drastic and rapid technical evolutions, exporting manufacturing companies need to keep very stable relationship with suppliers. Thus, analyzing key factors of strengthening relationship with suppliers in a B2B environment is important. In this regard, this study develops a research model to deeply understand key antecedents of relationship strength between B2B companies. Relationship quality was considered as the key factor affecting to the relationship strength. This study considers relationship satisfaction, trust, and relationship commitment as the factors of relationship quality. Moreover, technical service quality and relational service quality were considered to be the antecedents of relationship satisfaction, while communication and information exchange, relationship policies and practices, and opportunistic behavior were regarded as the antecedents of trust. The PLS method was applied for the empirical analysis of 107 companies data. The results indicated that the relationship commitment has a significant impact on relationship strength. Moreover, relationship satisfaction and trust had indirectly impact on relationship strength through relationship commitment. Although the quality of technical service quality had a significant impact on relationship satisfaction, relational service quality did not have a significant impact. While communication and information exchange, relationship policies, and practices had positively significant impacts, opportunistic behavior had a negative impact.
The purpose of this research is to investigate ways to improve science teacher education in order to subsequently develop students' key competencies. Since the OECD redefined key competencies as 'what people should know and be able to do in order to lead a successful life in a well-functioning society, many countries have emphasized competency-based curriculum. In this research, we collected and analyzed foreign and domestic classroom cases that have implemented competency-based curriculum in science teaching. Through open-ended interviews with the teachers and principals we explored ways to improve science teacher education to develop students' key competencies. According to the results, the competency-based curriculum necessitates a shift in teachers' roles including teachers as role models for their students, multifaceted roles of teachers, and teachers as researchers. In light of the teacher's community, teachers need to form a professional learning community, increase practice-based professional development opportunities, build the teacher's knowledge base, put various experts into the classroom, and build a partnership with the local community and other experts. In the conclusion section, we also discussed institutional and political supports necessary for the competency based education.
Recently, although the interest in transfer and transactions of intangible assets increases, there is no valuation model to objectively assess market value of knowledge and information contents such as electronic databases and the necessity of researches associated is brought up. Therefore, the present study proposes valuation models so as to utilize as objective reference information in the contents market of intangible assets, by assessing the market value of science and technology information contents including patents, academic papers and reports. First, we look into application methods of calculating cash flows by content types out of key variables which has been applied to the present technology valuation, and in case of patents we propose valuation methods based on concepts which are applied in the present technology valuation. Next, in case of both papers and reports, in order to reflect the characteristics of these contents we newly propose qualitative valuation methods which are adjustable based on both technology innovation and market demands indices while estimating the economic life cycle of the technology, and also present the input cost-based calculation method as the calculation method of cash flows. Throughout the study, we could establish frameworks by technology fields and business models applicable such as copyright licensing, transactions of individual science and technology information contents, and expect that more objective and reasonable assessment of content values is accessible.
PSL-II Accelerator is a large-scale research facility located in Pohang, which was established in 1988 and operated since 1995. It is a program to be promoted to contribute to basic science research in Korea by applying it to cutting-edge research in the field of basic and applied science. It is estimated that around KRW 787.9 billion was invested for construction and operation in the near-30-year period until 2016. Although there have been various evaluations of the need, importance and effectiveness of accelerator in relation to the accelerator policy, most of them emphasize the successful outcome of the present time and suggest the government's need for sustained support in the future or suggest policy implications for improving the policy in a comprehensive manner. And there was no systematic analysis of the results on a comprehensive review or the various policy evaluations of the accelerator policy. In this study, three stages of PSL-II accelerator program were evaluated, and five main criteria of policy activity were considered. The purpose of this study is to suggest the policy implications related to the principles of policy activity which is essential in construction and operation of similar large-scale research facilities in addition to PSL-II accelerator.

This study investigates the relationship between the purchasing behavior for hair-care products and the attitude toward hair-care products by adolescents. A total of 412 middle and high school students located in Seoul and Gyunggi-do province participated in this research. SPSS 12.0 for Windows Program was utilized for statistical analysis. As a result, the hair concerns and the satisfaction of adolescents as well as their attitudes towards hair-care products were significantly affected by gender, school level, and educational experiences. Female high school students with some degree of educational experiences had a more rational and brand-oriented attitude. Students having a higher rational and brand-oriented attitude bought hair-care products in regards to the quality of the product and environmental impact. On the other hand, those having a conspicuous and fashion pursuit attitude showed an image and fashion concern purchasing behavior. Adolescents usually purchased styling and dyeing products at a cosmetic specialty store and hair-care cleaning products from a discount store. The purpose of this paper is to investigate various factors affecting the efficiency of China IC industry, reflecting the resource utilization and overall development level of China IC industry. In this paper, three input indicators (R&D Expenditure, Cash paid to and for employees, Total fixed assets) and two output indicators (Net profit, Sales revenue) were selected for 17 listed companies in the IC industry with operating profit of less than 1 billion yuan in 2018 and applied the technology efficiency theory and DEA analysis method to analyze the relative efficiency of the output base. The study found that one of the 17 companies analyzed was efficient, two were inefficient on an inadequate scale, and the rest were inefficient due to insufficient production technology, scale and management level. This study argues that enterprises should reduce resource input appropriately and strengthen scientific and technological innovation management to maximize resource utilization efficiency. Therefore, this study has important practical significance for improving the efficiency of IC enterprises. The Malmquist method will be used to study the total factor productivity of small and Medium-sized companies in IC industry.
There is a system of mandating the allocation of support to small business in certain percentage or more to facilitate technological innovation at small business. Trying to assess small business R&D projects, which receive a budget of three trillion won or more from the government every year, for their possibilities of success, a group of experts perform a technological evaluation with their technologies and their difficulty levels and review closely the possibilities of their commercialization and success. Used in such a review, the Analytic Hierarchy Process technique cannot make an objective judgment of evaluation criteria for evaluation items and guarantee the professionalism and fairness of small business R&D projects due to the inherent ambiguity and uncertainty of the evaluation criteria. This study proposed an R&D evaluation system based on Fuzzy-AHP for small business to provide objective weight for the evaluation items and assess the possibilities of such projects' success. The evaluation criteria were make objective as they were applied as section values based on triangular fuzzy numbers. Weight was assigned and applied according to the management guidelines of supportive projects for small business' technological development so that it could be reflected on actual assessment. The findings of the study will be helpful for reflecting the scoring weight of these evaluation items again when an expert is appointed for a new project and guaranteeing the professionalism and fairness of small business R&D project based on them.
