A Study on the Development of Enjoyment Indicators of Public Libraries (공공도서관 향유지표 개발에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the indicators for measuring enjoyment of public libraries by the community. The term, enjoyment is defined as the community members' use and appreciation. Four types of enjoyment indicators are constructed through literature review: basic(environment), state(use), result(outcome), and essential(to enhance enjoyment). The prepared enjoyment indicators are evaluated and selected by focus groups interviews of professionals(researchers, librarians and policy makers). Those selected indicators are tested and revised through a internet survey of 508 Kyungi residents. Based on the analysis of the results this study suggests a total of 46 enjoyment indicators.

The Ways of Savoring for Promoting Exercise Participation in Middle-aged Women: Focused on Savoring theory in Positive Psychology (중년여성의 운동참여 촉진을 위한 향유방식: 긍정심리학의 향유 이론을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the ways of savoring of physical activities in middle-aged women based on the savoring theory of positive psychology. The first step was to understand the background of exercise participation experience and to provide basic information about savoring method. In the second stage, we used the open questionnaire to collect the savoring methods used during the exercise, and then, in-depth interviews were used to specify the savoring method. Open questionnaires were categorized according to the similarity of content and then nominated based on the savoring method. In-depth interviews were conducted to explore the cases of each method in detail. As a result, middle-aged women were found to use the savoring methods such as sharing with others, celebrating, comparing, feeling fine, blessing, expressing with behavior in physical activity. Through in-depth interviews, each case of savoring was embodied based on the savoring theory of positive psychology. Based on the results of the study, the possibility of applying the savoring method in the field of exercise instruction of middle-aged women and possibility of developing the savoring related program were discussed.

The Relationship among Savoring, Happiness and Optimism of Elementary School Children (초등학생의 향유하기와 행복감 및 낙관성의 관계)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship among savoring, happiness and optimism of elementary school students. This study is also expected to provide basic informations for the promotion of the happiness and optimism of elementary school students. The subjects were 495 fifth and sixth graders from 10 primary schools located in Seoul and Gyeonggi Province. The measurement were the savoring test, the happiness test and the optimism test. The collected data was analyzed using the i-STATistics program(Kim & Baker, 2012). The study results were as followings: First, female students had higher scores than male students in the savoring test, the happiness test and the optimism test. And there were significant gender differences in savoring, happiness and optimism. Second, there was a significantly positive correlation between savoring and happiness(home environment, self-attributes, abilities, and interpersonal relationships) at the level of p<0.001. And the regression analysis result showed that savoring contains explanatory power of 60.70% for happiness. Third, there was a significantly positive correlation between savoring and optimism(expectations for the future) at the level of p<0.001. And the regression analysis result showed that savoring contains explanatory power of 66.51% for optimism. The result of this study shows that savoring has a high correlation to happiness and optimism. Happiness and optimism of children can be enhanced by increasing savoring. Therefore, the development and verification of savoring program for children is required.

A Study on the Enjoyment Modes of Classic Novels·Ga-Sa in Cheongsong of the Middle of the-20th Century (20세기 중반 청송 지역의 고전소설·가사의 향유 양상)

  • Depending on the class and status, literary works are variously accepted and interpreted. As a result, they show different forms and ways of enjoying the novels and different variations of a text. The only ideal way of investigating and analyzting it is to meet someone who actually lived in that era. This study tries to investigate the enjoying aspects of the classic Korean classical novels by studying how the classical novels have been enjoyed in Northern Gyeong-Buk Area, especially in Cheongsong. It is a follow-up study of cases studies based in Yeongdeok, Uljin. As a result, one can come true the conclusions. In the case of Cheongsong, the Northern Area and Southern Areas show differences in their modes enjoying the Korean classical novels. The Northern Area has a strong expresses self-confidence and pride, and forms solid enjoying groups. However I could hardly find any such cases in the Southern Area. And the entertaining aspects of the classical novels are enjoyed by individuals rather than entertainers. It shows that there have been many difficulties in the culture of in taking-root classical novels as a firm ludic culture in Cheongsong. Furthermore, this survey can identify a duality of entertainers genres conception to enjoying Ga-sa and classic the Korean classical novels. The entertainers who haves read only the classical novels has not hidden ashamed of themselves as readers and entertainersof them. But the entertainers who are proud of the self as enjoyers of Ga-sa tried to dissimulate hide the fact that they read of the classical novels, because they think that a narrativity and fictitiousness, incredibility of the novels are disproportionate inappropriate to their for dignity as members of Yangban(兩班) families, and are in stark contrast to the morality and seriousness of Ga-sa.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 우리나라 17개 광역자치단체(시 도)별 문화기반시설과 문화향유여건 간의 영향력 관계를 살펴보기 위함이다. 이를 위해 지자체별 문예회관을 중심으로하여 문화기반시설 여건을 분석하였다. 이를 통해 광역지자체별로 문화기반시설과 문화향유여건의 영향력 관계를 살펴보았는데, 지자체 문화기반시설과 문화향유 활동이 영향을 받고 있다는 점을 확인하였다. 본 연구의 결과들은 향후 지자체의 문화기반시설 지원정책에 있어 지역문화향유기회확대를 위해서는 충분한 문화기반시설을 제공해야 한다는 실무적인 시사점을 보여주었다.

A New species of Elsholtzia (Lamiaceae): E. byeonsanensis M. Kim (향유속(꿀풀과)의 신종: 변산향유(Elsholtzia byeonsanensis M. Kim))

  • A new species, Elsholtzia byeonsanensis M. Kim is named and described from Byeonsan, Jeollabukdo Province, Korea. Molecular data confirmed that this new taxon was distinguished from other congeneric species. Elsholtzia byeonsanensis shares several characteristics (secund spikes, ovate leaves, long corolla length, etc.) with its related species E. splendens, but it is distinct from E. splendens which has a large plant, green stem color, chartaceous leaf textures, non-shiny leaf surfaces, pubescent petioles, pubescent leaf blade surfaces, pubescent bract surface, and open woodland habitats by having a small plant, purple stem color, coriaceous leaf textures, shiny leaf surfaces, glabrous petioles, glabrous leaf blade surfaces, glabrous bract surface, and marine habitats.

A study on the Types of the Emotional Stimulation Factors of Digital Cartoons (디지털만화의 감성자극요인에 대한 유형 연구)

  • This study aimed to investigate the types that readers enjoying cartoons appreciated cartoons under the premise that cartoons enjoyed over the internet would expand their sensitivity through media such as monitors and mice. The sensitivity of readers enjoying digital cartoons can be stimulated through communication with carton writers or other readers as the interaction of the real-time response to the network. The choice and control are possible with a vertical scroll bar. Accordingly, readers can be absorbed in a work and focus on its story much more. As a result of extracting emotional stimulation factors to verify these assumptions, factors were able to classify the sensitivity that readers enjoying cartoons obtained from digital cartoons into two types, communication and story-focus type, based on the phases that emotional stimuli were strengthened. This study will be significant as a study to identify the relationship between media-technological factors and readers enjoying cartoons in relation to digital cartoons.

The Effect of Savoring Belief on Gratitude: Positive Affect and Cognitive Emotion Regulation as a Mediating Variable (향유신념이 감사에 미치는 영향: 긍정정서와 인지적 정서 조절을 매개)

  • Based on advanced research, this study examined the relations between savoring belief and gratitude, and identify a model of the mediating mechanisms of positive affect and cognitive emotion regulation in the relation between savoring belief and gratitude. For this purpose, savoring belief, positive affect, cognitive emotion regulation, and gratitude were measured, among 485 adults. Using a structural equation model, hypothesis and the patterns of variables was confirmed. The results showed that savoring belief, gratitude, positive affect, adaptive cognitive emotion regulation have the positive correlation and savoring belief, gratitude, positive affect was negatively correlated with maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation. The dual mediation effect by positive affect and adaptive cognitive emotion regulation was also verified. Implications for clinical practice, limitations of the study and suggestions for future researches are discussed.

The way of enjoyment and educational significance of narrative folk songs (서사민요의 향유방식과 교육적 의의)

  • This paper investigates how narrative folk songs have been transmitted and enjoyed through literature data and field research, and discusses their educational significance. Narrative folk songs have changed from songs that were enjoyed by common women to songs enjoyed by upper class men according to the times. They have ranged from tragic songs lamenting hardships to comic songs that relieve oppression, depending on the performance situation. Moreover, narrative folk songs have been enjoyed through media transmission beyond traditional custom. Narrative folk songs have not been enjoyed in one fixed way, but rather in various ways depending on the situation, so they have functioned to enable common women, who are their main singers, to share emotions, communicate, and maintain their community. Therefore, in literature education, narrative folk songs can be used as very appropriate materials for learners to reflect on themselves, communicate with others and contribute to desirable community life. By experiencing the various ways of enjoying narrative folk songs, learners will be able to grow into subjects who actively solve their own problems and those of their communities.

Mediating Effect of Rumination on the Relationship between Savoring Beliefs and Positive Emotion (향유신념과 긍정정서의 관계에 미치는 반추의 매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest enhancing positive emotions by examining the relationship between savoring belief, rumination, and positive emotion for university and graduate students. For this purpose, a questionnaire measuring savoring beliefs, ruminations, and positive emotion was conducted for 235 university and graduate students in Seoul. As a result of the Structural modeling analysis, students' savoring beliefs had a positive effect on positive emotion and negative effect on rumination, and rumination had a negative effect on positive emotion. Rumination showed a partial mediating effect on the relationship between savoring beliefs and positive emotion. The results of this study provide important meaning that the savoring beliefs is a process of exploring the positive emotion because it does not deal with the mechanism of reinforcing positive emotions in detail. That is, it is meaningful in that it confirms the effect of an effective savoring strategy to increase the positive emotion and at the same time reveals the mechanism. Rather than simply focusing on the savoring beliefs, it can be expected that positive emotion will be improved by intervening with rumination.
