Specific human behaviors recognition algorithm using Hidden Markov Models in an intelligent surveillance system (지능형 영상 감시 시스템에서의 은닉 마르코프 모델을 이용한 특이 행동 인식 알고리즘)

  • 본 논문은 Hidden Markov Model을 사용하여 사람의 특정한 행동을 인식하여 사용자에게 알려주는 지능형 영상 감시 시스템을 제안한다. 본 방법에는 카메라를 통해 입력된 영상에서 사람 영역을 찾은 후 발 영역만을 추출하여 특징이 되는 관측열을 생성한다. 특징 영역은 입력 영상의 각 프레임을 16개의 영역으로 나누어 발바닥이 위치한 곳의 코드를 읽어 사용하고, 인식하고자하는 패턴 행동들에 대해서는 각각의 관측열을 구하고 HMM의 Baum-Welch 알고리즘을 사용하여 학습한다. 인식에는 전향 알고리즘을 사용하여 입력된 행동과 학습된 행동을 확률적으로 비교하므로써 영상 내의 행동이 어떤 패턴 행동인지를 결정하여 출력하도록 한다. 제시된 방법은 복도에서 사람의 특정 행동을 인식하는데 성공적으로 적용될 수 있음을 실험을 통해 확인 하였다.

The Effects of Hasteful Behavior on Aberrant Driving Behavior (서두름 행동이 운전일탈행동에 미치는 영향)

  • We focused on the missing confirmation domain of the hasteful behavior. We tried to identify the variety of hasteful behavior and the effects of missing confirmation behavior domain of the hasteful behavior on driving behaviors. 388 drivers responded to Hasteful Behavior Questionnaire, Driver Behavior Questionnaire(DBQ), and Driving Experience Questions. Data which have missing values among them were removed, 374 data were analyzed. As a result of factor analysis, hasteful behavior consist of time pressure, uncomfortableness, isolation, boring condition, and expecting rewards, and the DBQ consist of violation, error, and lapse. The components of hasteful behavior was divided into the missing confirmation behavior and the need for achievement domain by the second factor analysis and difference verification of coefficient of correlation. The missing confirmation behavior domain of hasteful behavior had significant influence on error and lapse. The isolation of the missing confirmation behavior domain had a negative effect, and the uncomfortableness of the missing confirmation domain had a positive effect on violation. The time pressure had a negative effect, and the isolation and the uncomfortableness had a positive effect on error and lapse.

Effect of Children's Creativity and Peer Play Behaviors on Play Area Preference (유아의 창의성과 또래놀이행동이 놀이영역 선호에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to improve the understanding of children's play behavior by exploring the relationship between variables predicting children's preferred play areas using the data of the Korean Children's Panel, which is a national longitudinal study data. For this purpose, we investigated how children's gender, creativity, and peer play behaviors affect children's preferred play areas on their preferred play areas. The research results revealed in this study are as follows. First, there were differences in creativity, peer play behaviors, and play area preference according to children's gender. Second, as a result of examining the effect of children's creativity and peer play behaviors on play area preference, factors influencing language area, art area, math & manipulative area, and role play area preference were different based on block play area preference group. This study has great implications in that it provides basic data for children's play behavior by exploring variables that affect children's preference for play areas.

A Study on Interorganizational Boundary Spanning Behaviors between Buyers and Sellers (유통경로 내 조직간 영역초월행동에 관한 연구)

  • Recently, both scholars and marketers have asserted the importance of boundary spanning behaviors, such as external representation, being vocal advocates to outsiders of the organization's image, goods, and services, internal influence, taking individual initiative in communications to the firm and co-workers to improve service delivery by the organization, co-workers, and oneself, and service delivery, serving customers in a conscientious, responsive, flexible, and courteous manner. However, there is lack of study dealing with bourdary spanning behaviors bewteen organizational dyads, in which boundary spanning behaviors are expected to have important roles. The objectives of this paper is to investigate these important concerns with prior research by developing a theoretical model predicting how distinct buyer's boundary spanning behaviors occur. To be concrete, this paper develops a seller characteristics-based model of the attitudinal antecedents of three conceptually distinct forms of boundary spanning behaviors, and tests the hypothesized differential effects of seller characteristics on the three forms of boundary spanning behaviors, and investigates the extent to which these relationships are mediated by relationship satisfaction and organizational commitment. For the purpose of empirical testing, 420 respondents of leading automobile dealers, dining franchisees, industrial material retailers in Korea were surveyed and the analysis utilizing structural equation model indicated that communication quality, fairness, and marketing program dynamism had positive effects on buyer's boundary spanning behaviors via relationship satisfaction and organizational commitment. In addition, boundary spanning behaviors occurred more in contractural and corporate distribution channel than in conventional distribution channel.

  • The framework for mathematics assessments traditionally has been organized around two dimensions, a content dimension specifying the subject matter to be assessed within mathematics, and a cognitive dimension specifying the domains or thinking processes to be assessed. The cognitive dimensions describe the sets of behaviors expected of students as they engage with the mathematics content. The purpose of this paper is an attempt to make diversify and concrete the sets of behaviors by reviewing the current strands suggested by CAST(College Scholastic Ability Test), assessment framework developed by KEDI, and NAEA(National Assessment of Educational Achievement), and as famous foreign tests PISA, TIMSS, NAEP and NCTM.

Understanding the Character of University Students: Gender Differences and Pathways of Character Factors (대학생 인성에 대한 이해: 성차와 인성요인의 경로)

  • In order to understand the character of university students, this study confirmed the gender tendency of whether there is a difference in the character of university students according to gender, and if there is a difference, what characteristics there are. It was confirmed through which pathways the cognitive, emotional, and behavioral factors, which are the character factors of university students, affect them. The research results are as follows. First, according to gender, the character of university students was found to be different in all areas of cognition, emotion, and behavior. It was confirmed that female students were higher than male students in all areas. Second, as for the pathways of university student character factors, it was confirmed that the higher the level of the cognitive domain, the higher the level of the affective domain, and the behavioral domain was improved. The results derived from this study can be objective basic data for developing a character education course or program for university students.

Importance of objectives of Housing unit in Home Economics by three systems of action of Home Economics teachers in middle school (중학교 가정과 교사가 인식하는 주생활 영역의 세 행동체계별 목표 중요도)

  • The purpose of this research was to develop objectives of Housing contents in Technology$\cdot$Home Economics by three systems of action and to find out the importance of the objectives of the teachers have taught the class. The 303 teachers from 183 middle schools replied the mail questionnaire during September, 2003. The data were analyzed by SPSS/win. The 21 objectives for each system of action were developed based on the textbooks, teachers guides, and other related references. The importance of the objectives related to communicative system of action was the highest, respectively followed by the ones related to technical and emancipatory systems of action. Indoor Environment & Equipment was more likely to be important than Maintenance & Repairs as the objectives related to communicative system of action, while Usage of Living Space was less likely to be important than the other two sub-units. The importance of the objectives was somewhat differed by the general characteristics of the teachers. The older are the more important the objectives related to technical system of action. Female, Home Economics teachers, who learned philosophy of Home Economics were more likely to think than others objectives related to communicative and emancipatory systems of action to be important. This research showed the teachers' perspectives of the objectives of Housing contents were not the same among respondents and generally supported the previous results from other contents of Home Economics.

The Trends in Information Behavior Research, 2000-2016: The Emergence of New Topical Areas (정보행동에 관한 연구 동향, 2000-2016: 새로운 주제 영역의 부상)

  • Information behavior is an important area of research in library and information science (LIS) that has evolved over the last 75 years. The aim of this study is to investigate the recent trends of information behavior research by providing insights into emerging topical areas within information behavior. To conduct this study, the bibliographic data from Scopus was used, and the trends of information behavior were traced by using variations of key terms used in information behavior research, such as "information behavior", "information seeking behavior", and "information needs." In addition, the trends were analyzed in terms of content words in the title, highly cited journal articles, disciplinary categories, and author keywords. Information behavior research has its roots in LIS, but the findings of the study reveal that information behavior has expanded to other disciplines by intersecting a variety of topical areas. In particular, this study showed that information behavior in the health/medicine domain has become a predominant emerging topical area of research. In order to enhance our understanding of complex human behavior, future research should focus more on interdisciplinary aspects by measuring the scope of information behavior.

A Study on the Structural Impact of Job Stress on the Organizational Commitment and Customer Oriented Boundary Spanning Behavior of Hospital Employees (병원종사자의 직무스트레스가 조직몰입과 고객지향영역초월행동에 미치는 구조적 영향관계 분석)

  • This study examines the impact of job stress on customer-oriented boundary-spanning behavior with the mediating effects of organizational commitment. The survey data was collected from 147 employees working at a hospital and analyzed statistically by using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. The result of this study are as follows. Hypothesis 1, Job stress has a negative influence on organizational commitment. Hypothesis 2, Organizational commitment has a positive influence on customer-oriented boundary-spanning behavior. Hypothesis 3, Job stress has a negatively significant impact on customer-oriented boundary-spanning behavior. Accordingly, Organizational commitment has the role of partially mediating the effect between job stress and customer-oriented boundary-spanning behavior. This means that employees working at the point of meeting customers must reduce their job stress in order to improve the service quality of a hospital and creating solutions to reduce job stress of hospital employees can increase customer-oriented boundary-spanning behavior.

Development of a Three-Dimensional Analytical Framework for Analyzing Chemistry I Questions on the CSAT and Analysis of Chemistry I Questions (대학수학능력시험 화학 I 문항 분석을 위한 3차원 분석틀 개발과 화학 I 문항 분석)

  • The study investigates the number and proportion of questions in each area by examining Chemistry I questions from the College Scholastic Ability Test from 2019 to 2022. The analysis was conducted using a three-dimensional framework that included key concepts in chemistry, behavioral domains in chemistry, and behavioral domains in mathematics. The results indicated that Chemistry I questions on the College Scholastic Ability Test had a relatively even distribution of questions across core individual topics, but highly difficult questions were predominantly biased toward stoichiometry. In terms of the behavioral domains in chemistry, there was a remarkably low proportion of questions related to problem recognition and hypothesis establishment, as well as designing research and implementing research. Conversely, highly difficult questions were more inclined towards drawing conclusions and evaluations. Regarding behavioral domains in mathematics, there was a limited number of questions addressing heuristic reasoning and deductive reasoning. On the other hand, high-difficulty questions favored internal problem-solving ability. Additionally, certain key concepts in chemistry and behavioral domains in chemistry exhibited a strong correlation with specific behavioral domains in mathematics. This characteristic was particularly evident in questions that encompassed higher-dimensional behavioral domains in mathematics, which students tend to find challenging.
