A Study on Monitoring System Architecture for Calculation of Practical Recycling Rate of End of Life Vehicle (폐자동차의 실질적 재활용률 산정을 위한 모니터링 체계에 관한 연구)

  • The end-of-life vehicles (ELV) are important recycling sources, and there are several stages involved in the recycling such as dismantling, shredding, and treatment of shredder residues (ASR). The legal recycling rate should be at least 95% on and after 2015, while we need a proper system to monitor recycling of ELV components and to calculate the practical recycling rate. The paper suggests a monitoring system that calculates practical recycling rates of dismantled components by use of a database of standard recycling rate as well as a web-based monitoring, which is linked to the Eco Assurance system for electric & electronic equipment and vehicle (EcoAS). Also the system supports dismantling and monitoring process by incorporating a standard vehicular component database, which facilitates recording dismantled weight data but also monitoring of dismantled components.

  • Recently environmental pollution and resource depletion have been rapidly progressing in the world. Construction Industries discharge tones of wastes and consumes heavy resource as compared with the production activities of other industries, so it is the main reason of increasing of the Earth's environment. In Korea, as people become aware of the need of technical and institutional infrastructure for the recycling of construction wastes, they manage Allbraro system which is Total Management System in the wastes. Therefore, they promote the handling of standardized information, processing construction waste of transparency procure and promotion of the efficiency of task about the disposal of occurrence and movement of real-time construction waste. However, objective information for dismantling building did not construct in the organization of the system, so the emission of system randomly produces and discharges information of the waste. Because of that reasons, the exact value of waste abandonment is difficult to measure and recycling after waste disposal has the limit point. Therefore, in this study, advantages and disadvantages of the existing waste management system are analyzed, and we improved solution of construction building and environment of the city when BIM / GIS are utilized.

  • 본 논문에서는 로봇의 움직임 특성을 추출하여 로봇 시스템의 신뢰성을 평가하는 방법을 제안한다. 원자력 발전소 증기 발생기 전열관의 비파괴 검사에 사용되는 ECT 검사용 Probe 가이드 로봇 (이하 증기발생기 로봇으로 기술)을 대상으로 하였다. 증기발생기 로봇의 동작 상태를 감시하기 위해 관측 카메라가 설치된다. 증기발생기 수실은 로봇 설치 및 해체를 위한 원형의 출입구 (Man Way)를 제외하고는 밀폐된 공간이다. 증기 발생기 전열관의 비파괴 검사 중에는 로봇과 로봇의 동작을 감시하는 관측 카메라만 설치된다. 관측 카메라가 고정되어 있다면, 배경의 변화를 야기하는 외란은 없다고 가정할 수 있다. 시간적으로 이웃하는 2 개의 관측 영상을 미분 (차 영상) 처리하면, 로봇 시스템의 이동 성분만 추출된다. 이러한 이동성분의 크기를 계산하여 로봇의 전체 행정거리 (ECT Probe를 검사위치에 안내하기 위해 로봇 기구부가 움직이는 범위)에 대해 영상 프레임 단위로 전개하면 특정의 고유 궤적이 나타난다. 이러한 고유 궤적과 다른 패턴을 보이는 로봇의 움직임 궤적은 에러로 간주한다. Burn-in 시험 (원자력 발전소 현장에 투입하기 전에 실험실에서 현장 적용의 타당성을 검증하기 위해 수행하는 시험) 중에 있는 증기발생기 로봇에 대해 본 논문에서 제안한 방법으로 신뢰성 평가를 수행하였으며, 그 결과 및 문제점 등에 대해 기술한다.

  • 최근 자율주행차량의 기술 개발이 확대되면서 이를 기반으로 운전자, 인프라 등 다양한 관점에서 효과를 기대할 수 있는 군집주행에 대한 관심도 점차 높아지고 있다. 현재 고속도로에서만 적용 가능한 군집주행 기술이 상용화 되면서 교차로가 많은 도시 도로 환경에서도 이를 적용하기 위해 여러 자동차 업체에서 시스템을 개발 중이다. 하지만 기존 군집주행 방식은 군집이 해체될 경우 차량이 다시 군집을 형성하고 다른 군집에 가입하는 과정에서 발생하는 시간이나 비용적인 측면에서 도로 처리량과 시간 단축이라는 본래 군집주행의 목표에 미치지 못한다. 따라서 본 논문은 차량 간에 주고받는 메시지를 개선하여 군집주행 알고리즘을 새롭게 설계해 도시 도로 환경에서도 적용 가능한 동적 군집주행에 대해 제안하였다.

  • The Korea auto industry has developed remarkedly over the past 40 years and ranked up to 5th vehicles production nation in the world. In 2009 alone, Korea produced 3.5million vehicles and number of vehicles registered surpassed the seventeen million. On the other hand, 711 thousand ELV(End of Life Vehicles) were scrapped and used cars more than 265 thousand were exported. In the year 2009, 568 thousand tons of iron, 46 thousand tons of aluminum and 7 thousand tons of copper were recovered from ELV in Korea. Recycling ratio of ELV is approaching 95% by using ASR(Automobile Shredding Residue) as a fuel at cement kiln. Korea has enacted the automobile recycling law in 2007 and enforced it from January 2009, actually. However, the law has not been managed smoothly due to delays in the construction of infrastructure and the existence of a hostile monitoring system. In this regard, a revision and supplement program focused on recycling fee on the automobile recycling law is running under the ministry of environment now. Here, a recycling model for enhancing ELV recycling is suggested.

  • Due to the rapid development of Internet technology, qualities of Web services are steadily improving and the Web database systems are actively employed to efficiently manage proper informations in various fields. In this paper, we propose a Web database system for the efficient material management for reusing construction materials. The proposed Web-based management system is operated using the spring framework, after constructing a database based on the collected data including tag ID, Location, Material, State, and Cycle, using the RFID(: Radion Frequency IDentification) system equipped with a location estimation module. Recently, the processing problem for a large amount of the residues generated at the demolition stage of various buildings is magnified in the construction site. The proposed Web-based construction material management system is expected for improving the processing problem as increasing the reusability and for reducing the construction cost as efficiently managing the construction materials for the reuse.

  • The operation method of offline venues such as local festivals usually has problems such as the absence of real-time events and booth information, wasting time in the process of purchasing and receiving goods, and stagnating the movement of guests. This study increases the convenience of guests and managers by integrating all contents in the venue in the form of booth, thereby increasing the uniformity of event information and the efficiency of booth operation. In addition, a system was designed to minimize movement problems and improve performance by detecting the movement of guests within the venue and increasing the efficiency of arranging booths based on location data. It has been developed as a low-cost system that measures wireless packets with portable wireless LAN APs and control units. This has advantages in the operation of the venue, which consists of the installation and dismantling of variable booths in a short period of time. It is expected that the integrated operation of the venue will be utilized by linking the movement data of guests to activate visits and increase sales through data-based promotions.

  • Decommissioning of nuclear facilities should be accomplished by assuring the safety of workers because decommissioning activities of nuclear facilities are under high radioactivity and work difficulty. It is necessary that before decommissioning, the radiation exposure dose of workers has to be evaluated and assessed under the principle of ALARA (as low as reasonably achievable). Furthermore, to improve the proficiency of decommissioning environments, method and system need to be developed. The legacy methods of exposure dose measurement and assessment had the limitations to modify and simulate the exposure dose to workers prior to practical activities because those should be accomplished without changes of working routes under predetermined scenarios. To simulate a lot of decommissioning scenarios, decommissioning environments were designed in virtual reality. To simulate and assess the exposure dose to workers, human model also was designed in virtual environments. These virtual decommissioning environments made it possible to real-time simulate and assess the exposure dose to workers. It can be concluded that this system is able to protect from accidents and enable workers to improve his familiarization about working environments. It is expected that this system can reduce human errors because workers are able to improve the proficiency of hazardous working environments due to virtual training like real decommissioning situations. In the end, the safety during decommissioning of nuclear facilities will be guaranteed under the principle of ALARA.

Development of Operational Technology and Integrated Measurement Information Management System for the Radioactivity Measurement Device (방사능 측정장치 운영 기술 및 측정정보 통합관리 시스템 개발)

  • Additional functional upgrades to the large-area compton camera (LACC) measurement device that can provide characteristics evaluation information (nuclear species and radioactivity) and two-dimensional or three-dimensional distribution imaging information of radioactive materials existing in surface or internal of concrete structures are required in terms of work stability and efficiency in order to apply to actual decommissioning sites such as nuclear power plants or medical cyclotron facilities by using this measurement device. To this purpose, the technology that allows radiation workers to intuitively and visually check the distribution of radioactive materials in advance by matching the two-dimensional distribution imaging information of radioactive materials obtained through the LACC measurement device and visual imaging of the measurement zone (10 m × 5 m) was developed. In addition, the separate system that can automatically adjust the position (height) in units of the measurement area size (0.7 m × 0.3 m × 0.8 m) of the LACC measurement device was developed and the integrated management system for characteristics evaluation information and two-dimensional or three-dimensional distribution imaging information obtained per unit of measurement for radioactive materials was developed. These functional upgrades related to LACC measurement device can improve work efficiency and safety when measuring radioactivity of concrete structures and enable the establishment of appropriate decommissioning strategies using radioactivity measurement information for decommissioning nuclear power plants or medical cyclotron facilities.
