Probabilistic Analysis for Stability Evaluation of Landslides Using Geo-spatial Information (지형공간 정보를 활용한 산사태 안정평가의 확률론적 해석)

  • The purpose of the current research is to evaluate the possibility of landslides by using geo-spatial information system. Geological information has been summarized and stability analysis for infinite slopes has been conducted based on the force equilibrium. In addition, the analysis of landslides was performed based on probabilistic approach by using probabilistic variables which can include uncertainty of input parameters. For the purpose of testifing the applicability of the analysis method actual geological data from a construction site was obtained, thereby performing both a preliminary analysis for a large area and detailed analysis for a better result. As a result of the current analysis several issues such as the possibility of development of landslides, detailed analysis of where landslides are most likely to be developed were analysed by using two concepts of safety and index of failure probability.

Evaluation of Service Life in RC Column under Chloride Attack through Field Investigation: Deterministic and Probabilistic Approaches (염해 실태조사를 통한 철근 콘크리트 교각의 내구수명 평가 - 결정론적 및 확률론적 해석방법)

  • RC (Reinforced Concrete) structures are considered as cost-benefit and durable however performances of structural safety and durability are degraded due to steel corrosion. Service life in RC structure is differently evaluated due to different local environmental conditions even if it is exposed to the same chloride attack. In the paper, 25 concrete cores from field investigation are obtained from 4 RC columns with duration of 3.5~4.5 years exposed to sea water. Through total chloride content measurement, surface chloride contents and apparent diffusion coefficients are evaluated. Service life of the target structure is estimated through deterministic method based on Fick's $2^{nd}$ Law and probabilistic method based on durability failure probability, respectively. Probability method is evaluated to be more conservative and relatively decreased service life is evaluated in tidal zone and splash zone over 40.0 m. Chloride penetration behavior with coring location from sea level and the present limitations of durability design method are investigated in the paper.

  • 언어처리에 통계 확률적인 방법이 도입되면서 현실적으로 상당한 진전이 있었지만 한국어의 경우에는 대부분 형태소 해석과 품사 태깅에 그치고 있다. 본 논문에서는 구문분석 수준에서의 통계적인 한국어 분석에 쓰일 자료 구축으로서의 구문 태깅의 방법론과 그 자동화에 대해 보고한다.

Capability of Turbulence Modeling Schemes on Estimating the Film Cooling at Parallel Wall Jet-Nozzle Configuration (평행 벽 제트-노즐 형상에서 난류모델별 막냉각 예측 능력)

  • Numerical simulation has been performed in this study to investigate the capabilities of turbulence modeling schemes on estimating the film cooling at a referenced parallel wall jet-nozzle configuration. Also a additional simulation has been performed for film cooling under 2-dimensional axis symmetry conditions at a parallel wall jet-nozzle configuration. It was concluded that the best turbulence model is the standard $k-{\epsilon}$ model with enhanced wall functions. Also a additional simulation showed the film cooling characteristics that are resonable physically.

  • Recently, a variety of researches has been carried out to estimate the reliability-based analysis and design method of concrete structures and is attracted by probabilistic-based durability analysis/method of concrete structures subjected to chloride containing environment using MCS (Monte Carlo Simulation). Probabilistic-based durability analysis/method was proposed by lots of researches, but there is the lack of data for degradation factors for the calculation of probability distribution. The reliability based durability analysis method represents that the service life and reliability index varies with the probability distribution and coefficient of variation of each factor. Therefore, in this paper, the importance of experiment data for the degradation factors is confirmed and the study of reliability index in RC structures under chloride attack environments is performed considering the variation coefficient of degradation factors.
