Functional Requirements to Develop the Marine Navigation Supporting System for Northern Sea Route (북극해 안전운항 지원시스템 구축을 위한 기능적 요구조건 도출)

  • International attention on the Northern Sea Route has been increased as the decreased sea-ice extents in Northern Sea raise the possibility to develop new sea routes and natural resources. However, to protect ships' safety and pristine environments in polar waters, International Maritime Organization(IMO) has been developing the Polar Code to regulate polar shipping. The marine navigation supporting system is essential for ships traveling long distance in the Northern Sea as they are affected by ocean weather and sea-ice. Therefore, to cope with the IMO Polar Code, this research proposes the functional requirements to develop the marine navigation supporting system for the Northern Sea Route. The functional requirements derived from the IMO Polar code consist of arctic voyage risk map, arctic voyage planning and MSI(Marine Safety Information) methods, based on which the navigation supporting system is able to provide dynamic and safe-economical sea route service using the sea-ice observation and prediction technologies. Also, a requirement of the system application is derived to apply the marine navigation supporting system for authorizing ships operating in the Northern Sea. To reflect the proposed system in the Polar Code, continual international exchange and policy proposals are necessary along with the development of sea-ice observation and prediction technologies.

  • 구형 파노라믹 영상은 영상기반의 가상현실 시스템에서 가상환경을 구축하기 위해 널리 이용되고 있다. 이러한 구형 파노라믹 영상은 카메라를 회전시켜 실세계를 촬영하고 각 영상들을 정렬(image alignment)을 거쳐 구에 사상시킴으로써 얻어진다. 실세계로부터 직업 입력된 영상을 가상환경으로 표현하기 때문에 기하학적 기반의 가상환경에 비해 현실감이 뛰어나다. 그러나 고정된 시점에서 카메라의 회전에 대해서만 가상환경의 영상이 복원 가능하므로 가상환경의 항해(navigation)에 있어서 제약을 받는다. 본 논문에서는 시점의 이동 운동에 따른 운동시차(motion parallax)를 제공하기 위해 구 파노라믹 영상의 특정 부분에 TIP(Tour Into the Picture)기법을 이용하여 spidery mesh 인터페이스를 제공하는 방법을 제안한다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 가상환경 저작 기술은 보다 나은 사용자 상호 작용(interaction)을 제공하는 영상기반 가상 환경 구축에 활용될 수 있다.

  • 현재 선박에서는 선상정보체계의 디지털화 추세가 가속화되어 고성능의 통합형 선방용 컴퓨터를 필요로 하며, 현재도 그 납품 실적이 꾸준히 증가하는 추세이다. 하지만 실제 선박 내의 운용환경을 충분히 고려한 선박용 컴퓨터의 개발은 그 실적이 부진한 실태로, 잦은 고장과 합리적이지 못한 인터페이스 장치들의 적재로 원활한 운용환경을 제공하지 못하고 있다. 그리하여 기초설계부터 특수한 해양환경에 적합하도록 고안되고, 선박의 통신체계(NMEA 0183)를 완벽히 지원하여 항해보조장치로서의 임무를 충실히 소화해 낼 수 있는 선박용 컴퓨터 개발을 필요로 하게 되었다.

Decision Support System for Automatic Cargo Planning for Tanker Ships (유조선 자동 적.양하 계획을 위한 의사결정지원 시스템)

  • The objective of this paper is to suggest a decision support system allowing automatic loading and discharging planning for tanker ships, and provide a working prototype. Particular attention is placed on developing a feasible system for improving the speed and accuracy of cargo planning by combining practice and theoretical solution methods. The system is consisted of a simulation model for tank allocation and an expert system for working sequence. Several program tests are undertaken with randomly generated input data. The results suggest that the system is quite meaningful even though there are still some problems to be solved. The paper concludes with a discussion of issues for future development of the decision support system.

  • The objective of this paper is to suggest a decision support system allowing automated stowage planning for containerships, and provide a working prototype. Unlike most previous works in this topic which concentrated mainly on the theoretical aspects. this paper attempts to develop a feasible system for improving the speed and accuracy of stowage planning by combining practice and theoretical solution methods. The paper includes a definition of the containership stowage problem, and details on the design and development of the automated stowage plan generation routine. Several program tests are undertaken with randomly generated input data. The results suggest that the prototype system is quite meaningful even though there are still some unsolved problems. The paper concludes with a discussion of issues for future development of the decision support system.

  • 최근 자동차와 항공 산업에서는 승객들의 편의에 맞추어 엔터테인먼트 서비스를 선보이고 있다. 선행 연구에 따르면, 이동 시간대 스마트폰으로 프로그램을 이용하는 동기로는 '오락용'(19.8%), '소통용(SNS)'(18.8%), '정보용'(15.0%), '게임용'(6.8%)로 전체의 60.4 %를 차지한다. 이는 콘텐츠와 커뮤니티 이용 및 정보탐색 등으로 이동 중 지루한 시간을 해소한다는 유의미한 통계를 보여준다. 해상 분야에서도 정보와 오락 기능을 결합해 편리한 항해를 지원할 필요가 있다고 사료된다. 본 논문은 인터넷 통신이 어려운 선박에서도 무선 통신망을 이용하여 미디어 콘텐츠 및 커뮤니티 활성화뿐만 아니라 안전사고 발생 시 신속하고 정확한 정보 전달 등을 목표로 삼는 선박 인포테인먼트 시스템을 제안하고자 한다.

  • An estimation algorithm of collision risk among multiple ships has been developed in order to reduce human error and prevent collision accidents. The algorithm is designed to calculate the collision risk among ships based on Fuzzy theory by using AIS data as traffic information. In this paper, to validate the algorithm, the AIS data of actual collision accident, which occurred between a product carrier and a cargo carrier in Busan harbor in 2009 are collected. The replay simulation is carried out on the actual AIS data and the collision risk is calculated in real time. In this paper, the features of the estimation algorithm of collision risk and the results of replay simulation based on AIS data of actual collision accident are discussed.

  • The container ports have been increasingly changed according to the industry structure and differentiated customer's needs. So it seems to need the differentiated service strategies to have their competitiveness. To assess the customer requirements objectively, this paper associated the service process of container ports with the service quality scale by using the Quality Function Development(QFD). This paper analysed the service process of Busan port and then compared it with those of Shanghai port and Tokyo port which are the typical port of the northeast asia. Also, after drawing the importance of the service process as well as its priorities by representing the relation between service quality scale and processes of the container ports, this paper proposed the House of Quality(HOQ) for service quality improvements.

  • This study aims at searching the global strategy which can raise the competitive power of IEC(International Express Companies) in Korea analyzing and coping with the international express companies and global factor of promotion. The global strategy varialbe for IEC- invigorating in korea is composed with nine variables which is M&A strategy, Intergrated logistics enterprise strategy, Globalized alliance strategy, SCM stratege, the third party operating strategy, Total logistic operating system strategy, Differentiated service providing strategy, Phased market entry strategy, Core capability strengthen strategy. According to the result of study, the global strategy influence for the nature of international express company's and increasing competitiveness is depend on specialization strategy and using scale of economy for globalization strategy.

  • RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) is appearing by point technology by Ubiquitous environment of new paradigm and Logistics' application But, RFID chip of this is high price and short bandwidth, low power and interference etc. can become technological problem This is getting into obstacle in common use. Reader and tag, Embedded software etc.. that are accomplishing standardization are imported paying most expensive royalty. This paper deals with a RFID cognition system that use PDA under ubiquitous environment to apply to Logistics system A RFID cognition system processes input/output of fundamental information attaching a tag onto products. And a RFID cognition system supports quick, correct and sqfe synthetic Logistics managerial system through construction of database. This can minimize logistics costs and improve the quality of customer service. A RFID cognition system has advantage that can widen range of application to area that cognition system of existent fixing style can not do. Also, it can expect economical effect through inexpensive system construction.
