This study verifies the change in market conditions in the Korea-China and Korea-Japan car ferry routes. Variation in historical development has led to differences in the lifecycle stages of these two car ferry shipping markets. However, previous studies have focused on individual car ferry routes rather than offering a more general understanding of this market. Based on the foregoing, we investigate the international car ferry market conditions from/to Korean ports, assess the management performances of car ferry companies, analyze the lifecycle stages of each car ferry route, and offer insights into the future of these markets. We show that the competitive market conditions and demands of passengers and cargoes differ between these routes. As for the market stage, we conclude that the Korea-China route is entering a mature market, whereas the Korea-Japan route is entering a declining stage.

This study focuses on the collaboration among public libraries and communities through 'One Book, One City' reading campaign. This study introduced the meaning and trend of 'One Book, One City' program on the world. And this study also suggests the ideas for the collaboration among public libraries and communities making use of this reading campaign; activation of reading campaign, building library network, establishing partnership model between private and public sectors.

In this study, examined are the characteristics of 'One Book, One City' reading campaigns conducted in Seattle. Chicago, and 'The Big Read', a nationwide 'One Book' campaign, supported by the NEA, in the U.S.A. and Seoul and Cheongju in Korea. Some differences as well as similarities were found in the goal setting, selection of books, strategies for reading and discussion, and programs of these 'One Book' reading campaigns. While, as a mass reading event, 'One Book' reading campaigns in various communities share the goal of promoting literacy and communication through reading and discussion, each 'One Book' campaign seems to show uniqueness in the criteria of book selection, reading and discussion guides, and the activities and Programs. which make up cultural contents.

한일 양언어의 복합문은 여러가지의 통어 현상을 가지며, 주어, 목적어 등의 생략 현상으로 문장의 표층상에 나타나지 않는 것이 있기 때문에 수식구조의 처리가 복잡해지고, 구문해석에 있어서 애매성의 요인이 된다. 따라서, 본 논문에서는 DPN에 의하여 한국어와 일본어의 수식 scope를 해석하는 방법에 대하여 설명한다. 먼저, 한일 양언어의 공통점과 차이점을 찾아내어, 한국어와 일본어의 보문을 표현형식으로 나타내고, 동사의 격정보로부터 DPN을 구성하여 DPN상에서 보문의 수식 Scope를 해석하는 방법에 대해서 설명한다.

한일상관센터(Korea-Japan Correlation Center, KJCC)는 한국천문연구원이 일본국립천문대와 공동으로 2006년부터 개발한 한일공동VLBI상관기(Korea-Japan Joint VLBI Correlator, KJJVC)의 설치를 2010년 완료하였으며, 2010년 5월 13일에 개소하였다. 한일상관센터에 설치된 한일공동VLBI상관기는 한국우주전파관측망(Korean VLBI Network, KVN), VERA(VLBI Exploration of Radio Astrometry), JVN(Japanese VLBI Network), 그리고 중국의 Chinese VLBI Network(CVN)을 연결하여 관측한 동아시아 지역의 VLBI 관측데이터의 상관처리를 2011년 하반기부터 정상적으로 수행할 예정이다. 한일상관센터의 정상운영을 위해 각 하드웨어 시스템들의 시험운영을 진행하고 있으며, KVN과 VERA로 관측한 VLBI 관측데이터의 상관처리를 진행하고 있다. 특히 상관분석 소프트웨어 부분에서 상관처리 결과를 과학적 목적으로 분석할 수 있는 상관후처리 소프트웨어 개발을 한일공동으로 진행하고 있으며, 현재 소프트웨어 디버깅 작업을 진행하고 있다. 본 발표에서는 한일상관센터의 전체적인 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어 구성, 상관결과 분석방법, 운영방법 등의 내용을 중심으로 기술한다.

This study explores the influence of viewing Korean TV drama on the Japanese attitude toward Korea. Especially this study focuses how Japanese's recognition about Korea and Japanese history influence the evaluation of Korean TV drama. This study conducts survey on 250 Japanese female viewers. As result, it was founded that the historical recognition of Japanese have positive effects on viewing evaluation and Korea national image. The findings suggests that the historical recognition with Korea and Japan worked a important factor for Korean dram flow. It is necessary to reconsider cultural-diplomatical policy to rectify the historial recognition.

Many studies of Korean immigrants in America reveal that about 70% of them attend a Korean church. Within Korean immigrant churches members exchange information and advice while they maintain their cultural traditions and ethnic norms. Recently some 2nd-generation Koreans have gradually started their own Korean congregations, known as English ministries(EMs) while some of them leave their Korean Christian churches. The future of Korean ethnic society in America depends much on the extent of 2nd-generation Koreans' retention of their ethnic culture.

'One Book, One City' reading campaign is one of the major reading campaigns, successfully conducted by public libraries in this century. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the significance of 'One Book, One City' reading campaign, as an innovative, continuing, and collective reading campaign by analyzing its growth and diffusion during the past six years. Also, analyzed are the themes. genres, and publication dates of the books and the characteristics of authors selected for 'One Book' in order to understand the cultural, social, and community-wide trend and objectives of 'One Book, One City' reading campaigns. An analysis of lists of 'One Book, One City' Reading Promotions Projects' available from the website of the Library of Congress, the Center for the Books, and bibliographic records of ninety books from LC OPAC, shows the preference for books recently published, significance of biographies and biographical fictions, and focus on the themes which help people better understand a multi-cultural and multi-racial society.
