성매매특별법이 에이즈를 확산시킨다?

  • 9.23 특별법 시행 이후 정부와 이해 당사자를 둘러싼 각계층에서 다양한 견해를 피력하면서 첨예한 논쟁이 오가고 있다. 그 가운데 성매매 여성들에 대한 에이즈, 성병 정기검진을 할 수 없게 된다면 성병과 에이즈가 창궐할 것이라는 '논리'가 그것이다. 이러한 주장의 현실성을 따져보기 위해서는 지금까지 시행되어온 '에이즈$\cdot$성병 정기검진'의 현황과, 그 성과에 대해 객관적으로 평가해 봐야 한다. 새로운 법령의 시행이 에이즈 예방 운동의 환경에 변화를 주고 있는 현 시점에서 성매매 여성을 대상으로 한 에이즈 예방사업의 새 모델 창출의 필요성이 대두되고 있다.

  • 최근 어느 방송에서 방영되고 있는 개그프로그램에서 일명 대머리 분장을 하고 나와 우스꽝스러운 행동을 하는 것이 커다란 인기를 끌고 있다. 우리는 쉽게 주위에서 머리칼이 빠진 사람을 볼 수 있는데, 예전에는 그냥 나이가 들면 그럴 수 있다고 생각했던 탈모가 이제 젊은 사람 또는 여성들에게까지 나타나 심각한 문제가 되고 있다. 그나마 탈모 전에 배필을 만나 짝이 있는 사람은 다행이지만, 탈모로 좋아하는사람과 이루어질 수 없다는 것은 참으로 안타까운 일이다. 최근 여성을 대상으로 한 설문조사에서 '대머리 총각'이 결혼 기피 1순위로 조사되었다.

  • In the Digital Transformation infrastructure at the addition to research on mental health such as depression and well-being, research on middle-aged health requires a study consisting of specific measures of cognitive health. This study used social, mental, and physical cognitive health as a sub-domain of cognitive health. The purpose of this study was to investigate the positive effects of volunteer activities on cognitive health for middle-aged women. The questionnaire survey was conducted on middle-aged women aged 40 to 59, focusing on the question "How well does cognitive health work for middle-aged women through volunteer activities?" The goal of this study is to examine the effect of volunteer activities on the cognitive health of middle-aged women and to analyze the meaning and influencing factors of volunteer activities needed to maintain the desirable life of middle-aged women and the healthy life of the elderly. The necessity to diversify and activate volunteer activities of middle-aged women was proved through the survey.

A convergence study on middle-aged women's beauty interest, medical skin care visit intention, experience satisfaction, and psychological happiness (중년여성의 뷰티관심도와 메디컬스킨케어 방문의도, 경험만족도, 심리적 행복감에 관한 융합연구)

  • The purpose of the study is to know that the medical skin care improves the quality of middle-aged women's life and happiness improves their confidence by analyzing the medical skin care visit intention, experience satisfaction, and happiness according to their beauty interest. This study analyzed 242 copies of the data through the SPSS v.22 Statistical Package Program. According to the analysis, middle-aged women's interest in beauty is important to experience satisfaction(F=201.821, p<.001). Experience satisfaction is statistically significant to happiness factors(F=384.625, p<.001). Based on this study, differentiated marketing that identifies the intention to visit is needed. Also, the higher the satisfaction of medical skin care experience, the more helpful it is to lead a positive life by improving their confidence.

Exploring the health of female spouses from multicultural families: Examining the differences by their country of origin (다문화가족 여성 배우자의 건강에 대한 탐색연구: 출신국가에 따른 차이를 중심으로)

  • This study examined the health status of female foreign spouses of multicultural families in Korea. More specifically, this study examined whether within-group difference exists depending on their country of origin in health status as well as determinants of their health status. For the analyses, data from the 2012 National Survey of Multicultural Families was used and a total of 165,451 spouses from China (both Korean-Chinese and Han Chinese), Vietnam, and The Philippines were included. The result showed that Vietnamese and Filipino women were healthier than Korean-Chinese and Han Chinese. The determinants and their size of the effect also varied across four groups of women. The results of this study highlight the importance of understanding immigrant women in the context of their ethnic background for interventions of their health. In addition, understanding their status and experiences in Korea must be in place for immigrant health studies, and potential differences by their country of origin must be considered in the development of health policies and practice.

Phenomenological Study on the Spousal Bereavement Experience of Married Immigrant Women (결혼이주여성의 배우자 사별 경험에 관한 현상학적 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to gain an in-depth understanding of the experience of married immigrant women who lost their spouse, and it is meaningful in that it examined the empirical perception on the recently newly-focused issue, bereavement of marriage immigrant women, from their perspective for the first time. For this, in-depth interviews were conducted on seven immigrant women who have experienced the death of their spouse and analyzed in Colaizzi's phenomenological method. The results showed that the experience can be classified into 20 topics and 5 categories: 'happy marriage life', 'marriage life they had put up with', 'death of spouse', 'life to be lived alone', and 'bearable life with hope'. The experience of bereavement was found to be a transition from the life in which they depended on their spouse in every aspect to the one where they make efforts to live an independent life adjusting to changes in their life after the loss. Based on this, the study will be a fundamental source of practical measures and social welfare support for them to live a better life in Korean society after their bereavement.

  • This study investigated the relationship among stress, hardiness and self-esteem of the middle-aged woman. The move to seek the direction of desirable lifetime-cycle training for middle-aged woman in order to improve the hardiness and self-esteem, decrease the stress of the middle-aged woman. This study was conducted among 200 middle-aged woman living in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, Chungcheong region as a correlation research. Data collection period was from April 1, 2015 to April 30. Data were analyzed by t-values, Correlation coefficient using the SPSS Program 18.0. Stress, hardiness and self-esteem of the middle-aged woman showed a correlation between net. Therefore, to improve the middle-aged woman hardiness and self-esteem so that needed to decrease the stress development and application of efficient programs.

Relationships between obesity and physical activities and prevalence of osteoarthritis in menopause women (폐경 여성의 비만 및 신체활동과 골관절염 유병의 관계)

  • This study was a secondary analysis research using data from the Seventh Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES VII-2), 2017 to identify the relationships between obesity and physical activities and prevalence of osteoarthritis in menopause women. The subjects were 1,516 menopause women aged over 19 years who participated in the KNHANES VII-2, 2017. Data were downloaded from the KNHANES website and analysed through complex sampling design data analysis using IBM SPSS 21.0 program. Prevalence of osteoarthritis is 1.88 times higher in women with body mass index (BMI) above pre-obesity and non-abdominal obesity and 1.98 times higher in women with BMI above pre-obesity and abdominal obesity than in women with BMI normal or low weight and non-abdominal obesity. These results indicate that obesity prevention and management should be provided to prevention of osteoarthritis for menopause women and obesity should be considered body mass index and abdominal obesity.
