The main purpose of this thesis is the Korean version of "Gwang On Yeok Ron(廣瘟疫論)". Gwang On Yeok Ron is a specialized book about infectious diseases(瘟疫). The book was compiled by Dae Cheon jang(戴天章) in 1722 who was a medical man in the Qing dynasty. The book consists of four volumes and an appendix. "Gwang On Yeok Ron Vol. I(廣瘟疫論卷之一)" is for the demonstration of colds(傷寒) and infectious diseases through a patient's odor(氣), skin tone(色), tongue(舌), mental state(神) and pulse(脈). Also, it describes the complications(兼證, 夾證) of infectious diseases. "Gwang On Yeok Ron Vol. II(廣瘟疫論卷之二)" describes the external symptoms(表證) of infectious diseases and the remedies. "Gwang On Yeok Ron Vol. III(廣瘟疫論卷之三)" describes the internal symptoms(裏證) of infectious diseases and the remedies. "Gwang On Yeok Ron Vol. IV(廣瘟疫論卷之四)" presents principles for the remedy of infectious diseases, and describes the sequelae(遺證) after the recovery of infectious diseases. "Appendix of Gwang On Yeok Ron(廣瘟疫論方目)" presents 83 prescriptions for the remedy of infectious diseases.

This research observed the interrelations between the active components found specifically in red ginseng and fermented red ginseng from among the variety of ginseng variations and the protective effect and anti-oxidant effect exercised on brain cells in the animal model for MPTP-induced neurotoxic Parkinson's Disease and obtained the following conclusions. The results above comprehensively demonstrated that the fermented red ginseng extract exercised greater protective effects against oxidant brain damage by MPTP when compared to the group administered with the red ginseng extract. This was induced an increase in TH protein expression, and further raised the efficiency of the anti-oxidant enzyme defensive system against neurotoxicity, thereby restraining the lipid peroxidation caused by the active oxygen generated during the course of MPTP metabolism and enhancing the body's defensive capacities in response to tissue damage, thereby demonstrating a protective effect against MPTP induced neurotoxicity.

본 논문에서는 개선된 FCM 알고리즘을 적용하여 통계청에서 제공하는 한국 표준 질병 사인 분류표(K.C.D)를 기초로 질병을 분류한 후, 질병을 도출하고 애매한 증상의 차이의 정도를 퍼지 추론기법을 사용하여 정확한 질병 상세를 도출할 수 있는 한방 질병 분류 시스템을 제시한다. 기존의 FCM 알고리즘은 입력 벡터들과 각 군집 중심과의 거리를 이용하여 측정된 유사도에 기초한 목적 함수의 최적화 방식을 사용한다. 하지만 측정된 패턴과 군집 공간상의 패턴들의 분포에 따라 바람직하지 못한 군집화 결과를 보일 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 군집들의 대칭성 측도에 퍼지 이론을 적용하여 기존의 FCM 알고리즘으로 군집화 한 결과를 재 군집화 하여 군집화의 정확성을 개선시킨 후, 증상의 차이를 구분하기 위해서 애매한 증상의 정도를 퍼지 추론 방법을 적용하여 정확한 질병 상세를 도출할 수 있는 방법을 제시한다. 본 논문에서는 개선된 FCM 알고리즘을 적용하여 질병을 분류한 후, 퍼지 제어 기법으로 질병을 추출함으로써 기존의 한방 자가진단 시스템 보다 정확하게 질병을 도출한 것을 확인하였다.

A symptoms of Diabetic is finded in many recordes, that is said to Diabetic or dryness or migratory arthralgia or flaccid paralysis of limb or abscess or arthralgia, but Diabetic is most closely symptom. So, study the 3-symptoms of Diabetes mellituscause, thses are polyuria and polyphasia and thirst, and this is similar symptoms of So-gal. So, bibliographic study or pathological approach of symptoms of So-gal, and So-gal in oriental medicine has come to the following conclution. The symptoms of So-gal is polyuria and polyphasia and thirst, is due to Simsinbulgyo, that is mean to breakdown of the normal physiological coordination between the heart and the kidney. A thirst is due to heat-transformation have an effect to the upper energizer and the heart and the lung and the stomach in Simsinbulgyo. A polyuria is due to failure of the kidneys Yang, that is due to failure of Yang of the heart in Simsinbulgyo.

Objective : "Huatuoxuanmenneizhaotu" is a Huatuo's about 5~6 century works are estimated to be voted for. Scored the first Anatomical Pictures. Expand your knowledge on the anatomy of the later set the foundation. This books is part of two volumes, which is largely divided into six parts. We have concern on the content and features. Method : Through "Huatuoxuanmenneizhaotu" text translation, we will try to categorize two ways : classifying 1) The first volume of Chapter 1, Pictures 2) The second volume divided into four parts, Chapter 2, Viscera Disease and Chapter 3, Viscera metastasize and Chapter 4, Viscera and Bowel each for metastasize, explained. Result : In consideration against Disease symptom classification, Medicine classification, processing of medicinals examine. Viscera Disease symptom each wind pattern(風證), qi pattern(氣證), heat pattern(熱證), cold pattern(冷證), deficiency pattern(虛證) was classified as. Same method were explained as Viscera into Viscera, as Viscera into Bowel. Viscera Disease also not mentioned in the Bowel Disease symptoms were found to be viewed. Conclusion : These results explain "HuatuoXuanmenNeizhaotu" were really diverse and various.

An empirical formula that has been empirically shown to be effective for a particular condition can be said to add medical materials to an exciting formula or to make a new prescription by Korean medical doctors' empirical clinic. This dissertation aims to study the prescriptions according to A Confidential Document of A Distinguished Medical Family and to contribute to the development of Korean medicine. A Confidential Document of A Distinguished Medical Family is a medicinal recipe that is an heirloom of the Gyeongju Kim family for the eighth generation. And the date and the writer of the book are unknown. The contents of the book consist of 18 parts and are made up of about 300 medical recipes. Of these, 153 formulas and indications of roundworm, cholera, puffy swelling, abdominal distension, phlegm-rheum, woman, child, summerheat, dryness-heat, eye, and blood are found in the book. From among these, 26 formulas are directly quoted out of The Precious Mirror of Oriental Medicine, 93 formulas are adjusted in proportion or combined and 34 formulas are empirical ones. By the parity of reasoning of the above, I think that this book was published after The Precious Mirror of Oriental Medicine.

Precious Mirror of Korean Medicine constitutes the basis of Korean orthodox medicine. In Korea it is regarded as the most influential medical work in existence and therefore been accorded first place among the medical works. Many books and reference works referred to Six Viscera and Five Bowels were quoted in Precious Mirror of Korean Medicine This dissertation is to study quoted passages and reference books related to Six Bowels and Five Viscera in Precious Mirror of Korean Medicine Based upon the medical works--Introduction to Medicine, Elementary Questions and Spiritual Pivot of Yellow Emperor's Canon of Internal Medicine, Difficult Classic, Compendium of Medicine and etc.-- all but few references the quotations are clearly traced to their origin. It is hoped that this preliminary study will serve as a starting point for further work on the text, with more specific attention to the method of quotations and its many linguistic problems.

In Oriental medicine, the shape of collarette that formed with position in iris of patients often used by health diagnotcian to grasp health condition. In this paper, we present method that effectively extract collarette that exist in Iris image. After proposed method detert iris area using circular edge detector, derides boundary candidate point through radial line search and threshold value establishment. And boundary candidate line is treated to use nearest neighbor calculation at each boundary candidate point, finally extracts collarette through linear interpolation. As a result of experimenting about iris images, We Confirmed that can be used as assistant tool of diagnostic system that can presume state of ventriculus of human body.

It makes study on the medical treatment and efficacy of Colostral milk. It based on the established treatises and books, in order to studying about the literature of colostral milk. It makes a through study on the medical treatment mechanism and efficacy of colostral milk, the results as fllows. 1. Colostral milk is some special things for baby newborn, and the other men and women of course. It is low in fat, and high in carbohydrates, protein, and antibodies to help keep your body healthy. Colostral milk is easy to digest, and it is low in volume, but high in concentrated nutrition for the newborn and men and women. 2. Colostral milk provides some of living cells which will defend babies against many harmful agents. The immune factors is much higher in colostral milk than in nature milk. Colostral milk works as a vaccine. It contains some quantities of an antibody called secretory immunoglobulin A Which is a important substance to the baby and men, 3. Colostral milk has a role to play in the baby's gastrointestinal tract. A newborn's intestines are permeable. The colostral milk makes the gastrointestinal tract in general. In addition, colostral milk contains a lot of leukocytes.

Objectives : The purpose of this case is to report the improvement of a patient with lymphedema due to axillary lymph node dissection after acupuncture therapy and herbal medicine. Methods : We treated the patient with Dong-Qi acupuncture, herbal medication(木通大安湯), lymph absorption massage, compresses, abdominal breathing. We measured the circumference of the patient's elbow and wrist every day at 6pm. Results : Since being hospitalized, the circumference of the patient' elbow and wrist has been decreased and VAS score has gotten lower gradually. Conclusions : We considered Dong-Qi acupuncture, herbal medication had a useful effect on lymphedema due to axillary lymph node dissection with lymph absorption massage, compresses, abdominal breathing.
