  • The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of the ownership structure of unlisted firms on KOSDAQ listing. There are few studies analyzing the characteristics of listing success based on ownership structure. For startup executives, there is not enough data to refer to the ownership structure that can increase the possibility of listing. This paper examines the effects of ownership structure on IPO success through comparison between listed successful and failed companies among the companies in application for KOSDAQ listing eligibility review. The major findings are as follows; (1) Venture capital investment and shareholding have a statistically positive effect on the success of KOSDAQ listing. This results indicate that the venture capital's investment alleviate the problem of information asymmetry, and it is a valid signal for market participants. The result means the role of venture capital seems to be important when companies are listed on the KOSDAQ. (2) The largest shareholder's stake has an inverted-U shape relationship with listing success. In other words, the ownership concentration mitigates moral hazard problem, which leads to listing success. However, if the ownership concentration exceeds a certain level, the chances of success in listing will decrease due to concerns over the pursuit of private interests. The result suggests that the largest shareholder's stake reduce agency problem. This study academically contributes to the existing literature by demonstrating the ownership structure affects IPOs, and explaining the results based on agent theory and signal theory. Our results provide practical implications for companies preparing for an IPO on the KOSDAQ.

  • In order to respond to carbon neutrality and climate change in agriculture, agricultural machinery, which has been developed centered on internal combustion engines, needs to be converted to an electric-based technology that does not emit greenhouse gases. In this study, simulations for electric UTV suspension design were performed to reduce vibration and shock of electric UTV for agricultural use and to improve driving stability and control performance of the vehicle. The simulation was performed by dividing the tolerance load of the vehicle body and the loaded load state. The range of motion of the suspension spring of UTV is within 30% of the range of motion under condition B under tolerance, the displacement of the UTV suspension with full load is reduced from 264mm to 121mm, and the damping speed is 260mm/s to 300mm/s that it can be seen that the range of motion is within 60%. Suspension design of electric UTV for multi-purpose agricultural work is a very important factor for maintaining agricultural work ability in towing work such as tillage as well as driving and terrain adaptation. The results of this study can be usefully used to determine the spring parameters with the appropriate damping range so that the electric UTV can be used for various agricultural tasks.

  • This study aims to empirically and statistically predict soil depths across areas affected by landslides. Using soil depth measurements from a landslide area in Korea, two sets of soil depths are calculated using a Z-model based on terrain elevation and a probabilistic statistical model. Both sets of calculation results are applied to derive landslide risk using the saturated infiltration depth ratio of the soil layer. This facilitates analysis of the infiltration of rainfall into soil layers for a rainfall event. In comparison with the probabilistic statistical model, the Z-model yields soil depths that are closer to measured values in the study area. Landslide risk assessment in the study area based on soil depth predictions from the two models shows that the percentage of first-grade landslide risk assessed using soil depths from the probabilistic statistical model is 2.5 times that calculated using soil depths from the Z-model. This shows that soil depths directly affect landslide risk assessment; therefore, the acquisition and application of local soil depth data are crucial to landslide risk analysis.

  • The time series data of rotifer community focusing on the species number and total density were collected from 29 reservoirs located at Jeonnam Province from 2008 to 2016 quarterly. The reservoirs had similar weather condition during the study period, but their sizes and water qualities were different. To analyze the temporal dynamics of rotifer community, the medians, ranges, outliers and coefficient of variation (CV) value of rotifer species number and abundance were compared. For the temporal trend analysis, time series of each reservoir data were compared and clustered using the dynamic time warping function of the R package "dtwclust". Small-sized reservoirs showed higher variability in rotifer abundance with more frequent outliers than large-sized reservoirs. On the other hand, apparent pattern was not observed for the rotifer species number. For the temporal pattern of rotifer density, COD, phytoplankton abundance fluctuation, and cladoceran abundance fluctuation have been suggested as potential factor affecting the rotifer abundance dynamics.

  • In this study, the concentration and distribution characteristics of BTEX (benzene toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylene) emitted from Daesan Petrochemical Industrial Complex were examined to determine their potential hazards to local residents. Residents living nearby the complex areas may be exposed to the chemicals through various media (air, water, and soil), especially by air. This study evaluated human health risks by inhalation using both deterministic and probabilistic risk assessment approaches. As a result of the deterministic risk assessment, the non-cancer risk was much lower than the regulation limit of hazard index (HI 1.0) for all the points. However, in case of cancer risk evaluation, it was found that the risk of excess cancer for benzene at point A located in the industrial complex was 2.28×10-6, which slightly exceeded the standard regulatory limit of 1.0×10-6. In addition, the probabilistic risk assessment revealed that the percentile exceeding the standard of 1.0×10-6was found to be 45.3%. The sensitivity analysis showed that exposure time (ET) had the greatest impact on the results. Based on the risk assessment study, it implied that ethylbenzene, toluene, and xylene had little adverse effects on potential human exposure, but benzene often exceeded the cancer risk standard (1.0×10-6). Further studies on extensive VOCs monitoring are needed to evaluate the potential risks of industrial complex areas.

  • Wooden cultural heritage are exposed to the external environment as they and there are many difficulties in conservation due to their location and size. Among them, biological damage caused by termites or mold consumes a lot of money and time. Select and use wood preservatives to prevent biological damage: Wood preservatives were selected and the worst environmental conditions, temperature 60±3℃, humidity 55±5%, and light intensity of 0.35 W/m2, were subjected to aging treatment to analyze chemical changes. Through the deterioration process, it was confirmed that the change in color difference decreased in the wood preservative treatment compared to the Control group. As a result of measuring the content of the active ingredient contained in the deterioration process of the wood preservative, it was confirmed that the active ingredient content of Gori22 and Bondex Preserve III was higher than that of the comparative Wood Keeper A. Through experiments, the shelf life and treatment period can be predicted by measuring the extent to which wood preservatives affect the change of wood specimens during the deterioration process and the content of active ingredients. In conclusion, various wood preservatives were prepared, and the possibility of selectively selecting wood preservatives according to the environment, topography and period was presented as a major evaluation factor.

  • To understand an underlying geological structure via seismic imaging, the velocity information of the subsurface medium is crucial. Although the full-waveform inversion (FWI) method is considered useful for estimating subsurface velocity models, 3D FWI needs a lot-of computing power and time. Herein, we compare the calculation efficiency and accuracy of frequency-domain 2D and 3D acoustic FWIs. Thereafter, we demonstrate that the artifacts from 2D approximation can be partially suppressed via frequency-domain 2D FWI by employing diffraction angle filtering (DAF). By applying DAF, which employs only big reflection angle components, the impact of noise and out-of-plane reflections can be reduced. Additionally, it is anticipated that the DAF can create long-wavelength velocity structures for 3D FWI and migration.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of Job Embeddedness of members of small and medium-sized construction companies on turnover intention through organizational commitment, targeting employees of small and medium-sized construction companies located in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and Incheon. The significance sampling method was applied as the sampling method, and the number of cases used in the final analysis was 316, and the input data was processed using the SPSS 20.0 program for statistical analysis. As a result of analysis, First, it was found to have a significant negative(-) effect on the turnover intention in suitability and sacrifice as sub-factors of Job Embeddedness of small and medium-sized construction company members, and the correlation between linkage and turnover intention was not significant. Second, it was found to have a significant positive(+) effect on the organizational commitment in suitability, links and sacrifice as sub-factors of job embeddedness of small and medium-sized construction company members. Third, organizational commitment was found to have a significant negative(-) effect on turnover intention. Fourth, organizational commitment was found to completely mediate the relationship between job commitment and turnover intention. Therefore, it was found that the higher the Job embeddedness of the members of small and medium-sized construction companies, the more influential the turnover intention. This suggests that it can have a negative effect on turnover intention by improving the suitability of values pursued by individual members of the organization, work passion, and attachment to the organization.

  • The peat layer was deposited on the abandoned channel of incised meander of River Banbyuncheon with 7 meter thickness on Youngyang basin. The late Quaternary environmental change on the study area was discussed based on pollen anaalysis and radiocarbon-dating from this peat. The swamp which was caused to sediment the peat, was produced by which the fan debris from the adjacent slope damed the waterflow on the abandoned channel. The peat layer contains continuous vegetational history from 60,000y.B.P. to Recent. The peat deposit was divided into two layers by the organic thin sand horizon, which was sedimented at one time and made unconformity between the lower decomposed compact peat layers and the upper fresh fiberous peat layer. As the result of the pollen analysis, both peat layers from the two boring sites, Profile YY1 and Profile YY2 were divided into five Pollenzones(Pollenzone I, II, III, IV and V) and 12 Subzones which were mainly corresponded by the AP (Arboreal Pollen)-Dominance. The two profiles have some differences on the sedimentary facies and on the pollen composition as well. Therefore these were in common with the Pollenone III, however the Pollenzone I and II existed only on the Profile YY1 and the Pollenzone IV and V existed only on the Profile YY2. The lower layer containing the Pollenzone I, II and III revealed vegetational records of Pleistocene, which was characterized as tundra-like landscape and thin forested landscapes. It represented the NAP (Non-Arboreal Pollen)-period with a plenty of Artemisia sp., Sanguisorba sp., Umbelliferae, Gramineae and Cyperaceae. However a relatively high proportion of the boreal trees with Picea sp., Pinus sp. and Betula sp. as AP was observed in the lower layer. The upper layer contained the Pollenzone IVb and V and vegetational history in Holocene which was characterized by thick forested landscape with rich tree pollen. It represented AP-period with plenty of Pinus sp. and Quercus sp. as temperate trees. The temperature fluctuation supposed from the vegetational records is as follows; the Pollenzone I(Betula-Dominance, about 57,000y.B.P.) represents relatively cold period. The Pollenzone II(EMW-Domi-nance, 57,000-43,000y.B.P.)represents relatively warm period. This period is supposed to be Interstadial, the transi-tional stage from Alt- to Mittel Wurm. The Pollenzone III(Butula-, Pinus- and Picea-Dominace in turns, 43,000-15,000y.B.P.) reproesents cold period which had been built from Mittel-to Jung Wurm. Especially the Subzone IIId represents the coldest period throughout the Pollenzone III. It is corresponds to Wurm Glacial Maximu. It is supposed that the mean temperature in July of this period was coller about 10${^\circ}$C than present. The Pollenzone IV and V represent the vegetational history of Holocene. Tilia, Quercus and Pinus were dominant in turns during this period. Subzone IVb and Pollenzone I and II at east coastal plain of Korean penninsula reported by JO(1979).
