  • During 19th general election the customized LBSNS(Location Based SNS) application for some candidates of the National Assembly planned and developed based on the object identification, ePosition, comprising the candidate's name have been applied for an election campaign. The approval rating change before and after 19th election campaign period for each candidate was quantitatively studied how it would be affected by the candidate custom LBSNS application. Only 3 out of 24 candidates in 6 local electorates in the Daejon Metropolitan City have adopted the customized LBSNS application and the rest 21 candidates have not, whose approval rating change before and after an election campaign has been analyzed comparatively candidate by candidate. The approval rating for 3 candidates adopting LBSNS application went up by 12.6%, 11.4%, 11.2% respectively, but those for the rest 21 candidates all changed within 3%.

  • The objective of this study is to examine the influence of social support and ego-resilience on the burnout of infant teachers. 200 teachers from a children's day care center located in Jeju Island were selected as the subjects, with whom a survey was conducted using the criteria of social support, ego-resilience, and burnout. The data was analyzed by correlation and hierarchical analysis using the SPSS 18.0 program. The results were as follows. Firstly, the teachers' exhaustion level was low, whereas their ego-resilience level was high. Secondly, the higher their social support and ego-resilience were, the lower their exhaustion level became. Finally, in the review of the influence of social support and ego-resilience on exhaustion, ego-resilience explained more than social support. This finding suggests that teachers' ego-resilience and social support are the key factors affecting burnout. To reduce burnout, the development of educational programs to enhance the teachers' ego-resilience and social support is strongly recommended.

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the mediation effect of social support in the influence of anxiety over aging of the elderly group on successful aging. The results of analyses are as follows: First, as anxiety over aging of the elderly group increased, the successful aging decreased. Second, in the relationship between anxiety over aging of the elderly group and social support, the social support decreased as anxiety over aging increased. Third, in the relationship between social support and successful aging, an increase of social support led to an increase in successful aging. Fourth, Old man in relationship to and successful aging of ageing in the social support mediated effect parts of their identified. Thus, this study suggests measures to decrease the anxiety over aging of the elderly group for the successful aging and proposals for the further studies in an aging society.

  • The purpose of the study was to examine the support of crisis pregnancy policies among unmarried college student in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do. All support rates of the crisis pregnancy and delivery policies were high, including support for crisis pregnancy and delivery, the preventive education through professional sex education and the law revision to compensate the existing legislation and system. There was supportive attitude for all adolescent single parenting policies. Especially, parent education and financial independence and education for preventing adolescent single parents from recurrent pregnancy showed a little higher support rate than others. Having a religion showed a higher support rate than atheist. Based on these findings, we will discuss the necessity of the policies of a crisis pregnancy and childbirth and the policies of unmarried adolescent parents. The results of this study could be used as a basic data for revision of relevant policies and establishment of support services.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship of teachers' surface acting in emotional labor, emotional support from supervisor, colleagues and parents, and teachers' burnout in kindergartens and childcare centers. The subjects were 208 teachers worked in kindergartens or childcare centers in Daegu and Gyeongbuk Province. The data were analyzed by mean of hierarchial regression, using SPSS Win 15.0. The results of this study are as follows. (1) Teachers' surface acting in emotional labor was positively associated with teachers' burnout. (2) Emotional support from supervisor, colleagues and parents was negatively associated with teachers' burnout. (3) There were interactional effects between teachers' surface acting in emotional labor and supervisors' emotional support to teachers' burnout. (4) There were interactional effects between teachers' surface acting in emotional labor and parents' emotional support to teachers' burnout.

  • In this study, we looked at the relationship among the anxiety, social support and trust experienced by the general public during the pandemic situation (COVID-19), and confirmed the effect of trust to the relationship between social support and anxiety. First, the correlations analysis that was performed to identify the relationship among the variables showed negative correlation between social support and anxiety. While it was also found that social support showed positive correlations with social trust, no significant correlations were shown with regards to government trust. Furthermore, government trust and social trust showed negative correlations with anxiety. Second, the regression analysis was conducted to verify the hypothesis that social support would affect anxiety through social trust. It showed that social trust partly mediated in the relationship between social support and anxiety. Based on the results above, the discussions and suggestions were presented throughout the study.

  • This Paper applied a simple strength parameter averaging method to double layered systems consisting of the strong sand layer overlying the soft clay deposit. This study derived a formula which defines a critical depth as the strength parameters, and used the correction parameter, $\alpha$ to reduce an error of the strength parameter averaging method. The results of the method were presented in the form of dimensionless charts and were compared with the results of several solutions proposed by Satyanarayana & Grag, Sreenivasulu, and Meyerhof & Hanna. The results of the proposed method coincided with the method of Meyerhof & Hanna and the results obtained from FLAC. But the Satyanarayana & Grag method and the Sreenivasulu method overestimated the bearing capacity. Consequently, the bearing capacity of foundation on sand layer overlying soft clay layer can be approximately estimated by using the proposed dimensionless charts.

  • The scale effect should be considered to determine the bearing capacity and settlement of footings from Plate-Load Test, because of the size difference between a footing and a loading plate. To analyze characteristics of bearing capacity and settlement according to the difference of loading plate sizes, model tests were performed with four different sizes of square plate, which are B=10, 15, 20 and 25cm, on five different kinds of subsoil. Based on the analyzed results, this paper also proposes a method of bearing capacity and settlement determination, where scale effect is considered depending on the mixing ratio of sand and clay. Until now, uneconomic constructions have been conducted because of unreasonable evaluation in estimating bearing capacity and settlement of footings from Plate-Load Test in fields. In the application of the formula proposed in this research to field problems, it is expected that evaluation of bearing capacity and settlement of footings can be more reliable and more economic construction can be achieved.

  • The present study aims to investigate the mediating effects of social support in regard of the impacts of stress-coping styles on depression in children from multi-cultural families. In a nutshell, the findings in this study are as follows: First, the stress-coping styles of children from multi-cultural families and depression were found to be negatively related, while social support and depression were negatively correlated. Second, as for the effects of stress-coping styles in children from multi-cultural families on depression, the more passive and active stress-coping styles of children from multi-cultural families, the less their depression, behavior disorder, loss of interest, self-abasement and physical symptoms. Third, high levels of teachers' support partially mediated the relation between stress-coping styles and depression in children from multi-cultural families. This finding implies that children from multi-cultural families, who perceive high levels of peer support, cope with stress better and thus reduce depression.

  • This study examined 316 soldiers in the South Korean Army and the mediation effects of social support on bullying and frustration. Bullying, social support, and frustration showed average scores of 2.23, 3.60, and 2.75 points, respectively. There was a positive correlation between bullying, social support, and frustration. All of the subordinate variables of bullying showed significant impacts on frustration (p<.05), with psychological harassment showing the greatest impact (${\beta}=.340$), followed by bullying in interpersonal relationships (${\beta}=.149$) and bullying at work (${\beta}=.130$). In all the interaction items of the subordinate variable bullying ${\times}$ social support, bullying had a significant impact on frustration at p<.01, while the highest impact was shown in the interaction item of bullying ${\times}$ member support (${\beta}=.456$). The results imply that intangible combat power and solidarity among soldiers can be guaranteed only when superiors and peers provide full support for soldiers who are victims of bullying.
