The Effects of Video-conference Classes by Native Speaking Teachers and Cognitive Style on Self-efficacy (원어민화상수업 유형과 학습자 인지양식이 자기효능감에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify how native speakers' video-conference teaching influences self-efficacy according to the cognitive styles of elementary school students compared with native speakers' traditional co-teaching. The results of this study are as follows. First, there was the difference in the effect on self-efficacy according to the difference in three teaching methods. Second, there was not the difference in self-efficacy according to cognitive styles. Third, there appeared the interaction effect of teaching methods and cognitive styles on self-efficacy.

  • 정신지체학생은 주의 집중의 문제, 느린 학습속도, 기억력, 저조한 흥미와 관심 등으로 인하여 전통적 수업방식으로는 높은 학습효과를 기대하기 어렵다. 멀티미디어와 컴퓨터를 활용한 수업은 학생들의 흥미를 유발시켜 집중력이 향상될 뿐만 아니라 개인차가 심한 정신지체학생들에게 개별학습을 함으로써 높은 학습효과를 기대한 수 있다. 다양한 경험과 생환중심의 교육이 필요한 정신지체아동들이 실생활에서 접하기 힘든 내용을 가상적으로 경험할 수 있는 코스웨어나 학습한 후에 생활에 바로 적용할 수 있는 생활중심 코스웨어, 인터넷 환경의 웹 기반 코스웨어 등 정신지체 아동을 위한 소프트웨어는 거의 전무한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 인터넷 환경에서 멀티미디어와 컴퓨터를 통하여 다양한 경험뿐만 아니라 실생활에 필요한 내용을 학습하여 사회성을 기를 수 있는 웹 기반 코스웨어 개발 방법을 제안한다.

  • Today's Web-based teaching-learning is developing in the direction that learners select and organize the contents, time and order of learning by themselves. That is, it is evolving to provide teaching-learning environment adaptive to individual learners' characteristics(their level of knowledge, pattern of study. areas of interest). This study analyzed learners' learning paths among the variables of learners' characteristics considered important in Web-based teaching- learning process using the Apriori algorithm and grouped learners who had similar learning paths. Based on the result, the author designed and developed a learning-path individualization system In order to provide learners with learning paths, Interface, the progress of learning etc. The proposed system is expected to provide optimal learning environment fit for learners' pattern of study and to be enhancing individual learner's learning effects

  • 본 논문에서는 개선된 유전자 알고리즘과 역전파 신경망 알고리즘의 특징을 살펴보고, 비선형 모의자료를 이용하여 개선된 유전자 알고리즘 기반의 신경망 학습 효과와 역전파 신경망 알고리즘을 이용한 신경망 학습 효과를 비교해 본다. 유전자 알고리즘을 이용한 신경망 학습에는 개선된 신경망 제어기를 이용한다. 역전파 알고리즘을 이용한 신경망 학습에는 일반화 성능향상을 위한 인자들의 결합효과를 이용한다. 모의실험을 통하여 두 가지의 학습에서 학습 수령의 정도와 학습 속도 등을 비교하는 모의실험 결과를 개선된 유전자 알고리즘과 신경망 알고리즘의 학습 결과와 항께 제시한다. 모의실험의 결과로서 유전자 알고리즘을 적용한 개선된 신경망 제어기를 통한 학습 결과가 일반 신경망 학습 결과보다 초기 가중값을 작은 범위에서 발생시킬 때 수렴 정확도 및 학습 속도에서 좋은 결과를 나타내 주고 있다.

A Task Centered Scratch Programming Learning Program for Enhancing Learners' Problem Solving Abilities (문제해결력 향상을 위한 과제 중심 스크래치 프로그래밍 학습 프로그램)

  • Programming learning may help to enhance learners' complex problem solving abilities. However, it may cause excessive cognitive loads for learners. Therefore, selection of programming tools and design of teaching and learning strategies to minimize the learners' cognitive loads and to maximize the learning effects. A task centered Scratch programming learning program was developed to enhance problem solving abilities of middle school students. And then, we implemented the developed program in middle school programming classes and analysed the educational effects of the developed program. We found that the developed program was helpful in enhancing learners' problem solving abilities, especially in the element of 'troubleshooting', which explains ability of error detecting and correcting.

  • 문제해결력 및 의사결정능력 향상이라는 교육 목표를 달성하기 위한 대표적인 방법 중 협동학습은 큰 효과를 보인다. 이러한 협동학습은 학습 환경이 변화함에 따라 오프라인 협동학습에서 웹기반 협동학습으로 발전되었고 요즘은 웹2.0 기반의 협동학습까지 등장하고 있다. 그러나 웹2.0의 '참여, 공유, 개방' 개념의 교육적 활용을 높이기 위해서는 무선네트워크 환경이 필수적이다. 따라서 본 연구는 무선네트워크 환경의 웹2.0 기반의 협동학습 전략을 구안하고 적용함으로서 교육적 요구에 맞는 타당성과 효과성을 검증하였다. 또한 본 연구에서 제안하는 학습전략에서 웹2.0을 통한 온라인 학습지원시스템(WCLS) 활용 방안을 제시하고 이를 통해 협동학습의 효과를 높이기 위한 교사의 역할 모형을 제안한다.

  • 본 연구에서는 신경망 학습의 중요한 평가 척도로써 고려될 수 있는 일반화 성능과 학습속도를 개선시키기 위한 방안으로써 초기 가중값과 학습률과 같은 주요 인자들을 이용한 신경망 학습 영향을 살펴본다. 특히 초기 가중값과 학습률을 고정시킨 후 새롭게 조정된 계수들을 점차적으로 변화시키는 새로운 인자 결합방법을 이용하여 신경망 학습량과 학습속도를 비교해 보고 계수조정을 통한 개선된 학습 영향을 살펴본다. 그리고 단순한 예제를 이용한 실증분석을 통하여 신경망 모형의 일반화 성능과 학습 속도 개선을 위한 각 인자들의 개별 효과와 결합 효과를 살펴보고 그 개선 방안을 제시한다.

A case study on the effects of programs utilizing learning strategies on the development of learning strategies and science academic achievements of the 7th grade science underachievers (학습전략을 활용한 프로그램이 중학교 과학학습 부진아의 학습전략 및 학업성취도에 미치는 효과에 대한 사례 연구)

  • The purposes of this study were to develop a program utilizing learning strategies for underachieving middle school students in science and to identify the effectiveness of the program on the ability of using learning strategies and the improvement of science academic achievement. For this study, we developed the program of learning strategies consisting of eleven consecutive lesson plans focusing on the content of 2009 revised national science curriculum and applied the program to three underachieving students in science of 7th grade, who have weaker learning strategies that can be used for science study than other underachievers. After treatments, we analyzed the effectiveness of this program through science learning strategy tests, overall assessments, student-activity sheets, research logs, learning-transcription details, analysis of interviews with students, and observation of classes. According to this study, the enhancement of the ability of using learning strategies was limited because it was difficult for the students to change their fossilized strategies. On the other hand, their overall academic performance was considerably improved since the students became interested in studying science drawing on the learning strategies. Therefore, the program of learning strategies had a positive effect on improving the science underachievers' ability of using learning strategies and academic achievements.

  • We can communicate with each other using notice board, questions & answers boards, messages in the web-based learning system, especially questions & answers board are the places that can be shared with the learning experiences between the learners and improve one's learning efficiency. In this study, we found out the problems when studying the learning contents and learning questions & answers boards in the web-based learning system and proposed a web-based learning system consisted of learning contents and the questions & answers boards with ability for searching automatically and providing questions & answers that is related with the learning contents. According to the result of the effectiveness and accuracy analysis, the proposed web-based learning system can be very useful and improve one's learning achievements by searching exactly the learning questions & answers.

A Study on the Applications of English Science Class using PBL (초등학교에서 PBL을 이용한 영어과학 수업의 실제적 적용에 관한 연구)

  • In order to attain the best-educated people in a rapidly changing, modern society with English is an official language, this study applies the problem-based learning (PBL) method to the English Science Class. PBL problems were developed for PBL classes, and their effectiveness has been proven. The focus of this study was five PBL questions posed during the first semester, targeting seven learners in the fourth grade of Elementary School A. The questions were divided into levels aimed at each grade, with the emphasis on specialized English education. Learners wrote journals, peer evaluations, and self-evaluations after finishing their PBL classes. Also, a survey about PBL was conducted after the first semester. The results of the study showed that learners experienced an 86% improvement in presentation skills, an 86% improved interest in learning, 86% better understanding, and 100% improvement in both problem-solving skills and cooperation. On the other hand, learners had difficulty in understanding PBL problems, and with research using the internet. PBL was somewhat unfamiliar to the students, but the survey found that learners are already aware of its effectiveness, and that they are interested in PBL.
