The purpose of this paper is to find out the effective teaching method and improvement for managing the special lecture of basic mathematics which is grouped by the level of low achievement students who are matriculants. From the result, we want to know how the lecture with teaching method of differentiated learning affect on the students, especially who have under achievement, to be interested and confidential in mathematics.

The purpose of this study was to suggest effective reading guidance using studying cartoons for the reading motivation. We conducted a survey at 3 junior high schools in Chung-Nam province, consisting of 182 students in 6 classes in an attempt to analyze what motivates reading. We propose strategies that can encourage students to read using cartoons, books, and multimedia guides.

보통 문장제(일량, 거리, 속도 문제, 시계 문제, 농도 문제, 개수 세기, 측도 영역)는 초등학교부터 반복하며 나오며 대학 수학 능력 시험에서는 외적 문제 해결능력으로 측정되기도 한다. 문장제를 해결하는데는 사고가 여러 단계로 이루어져야 한다. 따라서 일반적으로 문장제는 난해하므로, 조직적이고 전문적인 학습지도가 이루어져야 한다. 하지만 입시위주의 교육 등 여러 여건상 잘 이루어지지 않고 있는 것이 현실이다. 본 연구에서는 문장제의 문제 해결에 필요한 해결요소를 발견하고 저해 요인을 없앨 수 있는 지도 방안으로서 소집단 토의학습에 문제해결 전략을 이용하여, 효율적인 문장제 지도 방안을 연구하고 상이한 문제에 접근하는 방법, 문제를 이용하는 방법 등을 토의학습을 통하여 다양한 풀이방법을 해결하면서 이를 통하여 사고력을 신장할 수 있도록 연구한다.

현장에서 수업을 하다 보면 의외로 학생들이 곱셈구구는 잘 외우고 있지만 곱셈의 개념에 대해서는 잘 모르고 있다는 것을 많이 발견할 수 있다. 이것은 곱셈에 대한 개념을 도입할 때 학생들이 왜 곱셈을 배우는가에 대해서 스스로 절실하게 생각해 보고 발견해 보는 경험이 부족했기 때문이라고 생각한다. 곱셈이 왜 필요하고 곱셈식으로 나타내는 것이 얼마나 좋은 방법인지 학생들이 깨달아 덧셈구조에서 곱셈구조로의 개념의 변화가 일어날 수 있도록 지도한다면 이러한 문제점을 어느 정도 해결할 수 있지 않을까 생각해본다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 자연수의 곱셈에 대한 이론적 배경과 교육과정을 알고 이를 바탕으로 수학교육 이론에 근거한 자연수의 곱셈의 교수-학습 지도 방안에 대하여 거시적 입장에서 고찰해 보고자 한다.

In order to propose effective learning methods to teach basic mathematics course for students of business administration, we conducted the survey on recognition and attitude on mathematics subjects, and analyzed academic achievements of the business mathematics as a basic mathematics course in relation to the results of the survey. First, we investigated learning contents and problems difficult for students to understand in the course, and presented the instructional method and significance of them with examples. These learning contents and problems were collected from the students using the mathematics cafe. Furthermore, we analyzed types of the incorrect answers on the midterm and final examinations in the business mathematics. Although it is difficult to generalize the finding to all of the business administration students due to differences in academic level and educational environment, much work has been put in to present learning method of the business mathematics for students of business administration.

수학의 가장 기본적인 요소인 수 개념과 감각의 형성과정에서 자리값에 대한 이해는 필수적이다. 또한 자리 값의 개념을 지도하기 위해서는 수와 연산지도가 통합되어야 하며, 논리적 사고력을 신장의 한 요소인 계산 알고리즘이 유의미한 학습되기 위해서는 자리값에 대한 이해가 바탕이 되어야 한다. 수에 대한 개념적 지식이 불충분한 상태에서 양을 수치화 하거나 지필 위주로 계산 알고리즘을 기계적으로 적용함으로 해서 발생하는 수와 연산학습의 결손을 줄이기 위해 본 연구에서는 수 개념과 감각을 기르기 위해 자리값 지도 방안에 대해서 알아보고자 한다.

Children should have opportunities to experience problem solving individually with strategies for developing their problem solving abilities. To make an instructional design for individual teaming, problem solving activities were classified into categories like individual activities, individual activities within a group, and team teaching. A flow of teaching and teaming process was designed before, and concrete and semi-concrete materials were used in an experimental teaching, which was analysed in this research.

The Educational situation of studying the effect of maximizing through Student's Self-directed demand varying educational environment on a Learner-Centered understanding of existing ICT deficiencies. But schools recognize computer skill learning as all of computer education contents. This study is established in an 'e-PBL environment' in use with 'Ulsan Cyber Home Study' on a learner-centered and design teaching method for an effective computer course. This study presents effective learner-centered teaching methods. It does this using the web environment 'Ulsan Cyber Home Study' and reconstructing each unit of the ICT textbook 'Our Living and Information'.

Despite the significance of the measurement strand in elementary mathematics education, it is not easy to teach it meaningfully. This study analyzed instructional methods related to capacity and weight in a series of mathematics textbooks of Korea, Japan, Singapore, and the US. The overall analysis was conducted in the following two aspects: (a) what and when to teach main learning content, and (b) how to teach the learning content tailored to the instructional components specific to the topics of measurement (i.e., the necessity of measurement unit, the meanings of measurement terms, appropriate choice of units, appropriate choice of measurement tools, and the necessity of calculation). The results of this study showed overall similarities in using real-life contexts to teach major topics on capacity and weight as well as emphasizing the relations among measurement units. However, noticeable differences were also analyzed in dealing with the meanings of measurement terms, appropriate choice of units, and appropriate choice of measurement tools. Based on these results, this study provides textbook writers with implications on what to further consider in dealing with capacity and weight.
