최근 국내 과학기술분야 학회에서는 발행 학술지를 세계적인 학술지로 등재하고자 하는 노력이 증가하고 있다. 이에 따라, 해외연구자들을 학술지 편집위원으로 참여 시키고 많은 해외 연구자들이 자체 학술지에 논문을 많이 투고하도록 독려하고 있다. 해외 연구자들간에 이메일로 투고 심사를 처리하고 심사 총평을 작성하는 논문투고심사 프로세스는 심사 이력이 관리도 안 될 뿐만 아니라 논문투고 심사 진행 상황을 알 수 없음으로 인한 이용자의 불편함, 시간적 비효율성 등의 많은 단점이 있다. 이에 KISTI는 해외 연구자들이 학술지 생산을 위한 학술활동 전 과정에 참여할 수 있도록 하고자, 학술지를 체계적으로 운영하고 투명한 상호심사(Peer Review) 과정을 포함하는 학술지 전자 출판과정을 온라인으로 처리하고 모든 메뉴 용어를 국제적인 수준의 영어로 기술한 영문 Article Contribution Management System(ACOMS Ver. 4.0)를 개발하였다. 영문ACOMS는 기존 국문 ACOMS와 달리, 학술지 홈페이지를 포함하고 있으며, 저자와 편집위원 혹은 저자와 판사 간의 온라인 논문 교정 프로세스가 들어가 있다. 영문 ACOMS는 2012년 현재에도 국제적인 시스템으로 거듭나기 위해 지속적인 기능개선을 추진하고 있다. 개발된 영문 ACOMS 기능에 대해 살펴보고, 향후 개선방안에 대해 기술한다.

본 연구는 국내 문헌정보학 분야 학술지를 대상으로 협업 특성과 연구주제를 파악하기 위해 지리적인 측면에서 기관들의 공동연구 특성을 살펴보았다. 기존의 협업 특성을 분석한 연구들은 공저 네트워크의 속성이나 연구자들의 연구생산성, 소속기관 및 국가 비교 등 통계적 측면에 초점을 맞추어 분석을 수행해왔다. 본 연구는 기존 연구에서 주된 분석수단으로 사용해 온 통계적 분석 외에 연구자의 협업 연구주제와 연구자가 속한 기관 및 지역정보를 활용하여 협업 패턴을 파악하도록 하였다. 연구자가 속한 기관들 간의 협업 네트워크를 지리적인 관점에서 연구주제와 함께 직관적으로 파악할 수 있다는 장점이 있다.

최근 다양한 관점에서의 사회관계망 분석이 확대되면서 R&D분야도 연구자 간의 네트워크를 이해하고자 하는 요구사항도 증가하고 있지만 국내에서는 연구자나 과학자 사이의 네트워크 분석 및 서비스에 대한 시도가 다양하지 않은 상황이다. 본 논문은 국내 R&D분야의 사회관계망에 대한 이해증진을 위하여 구현한 공저자 네트워크 가시화 서비스에 대한 기술이다. 사회 관계망 분석과 서비스를 위하여 동명이인 저자를 식별하고 이들 간의 공저자 관계를 계량정보 분석기법을 이용하여 분석하였으며 연구자들 간의 네트워크를 쉽게 조망할 수 있도록 정보를 가시화 하였다. 본 논문에서 구현한 공저자 네트워크 서비스는 국내 연구자들 간의 협업형태를 직관적으로 이해할 수 있도록 하며 각 연구 분야의 핵심연구자 및 다양한 연구 분야를 연계하는 허브 연구자의 확인을 용이하게 한다.

To investigate the characteristics of Korean researchers who have published journal articles in the international Library and Information Science (LIS) journals, we analyzed the types of institutions of the authors and their disciplines by publication year and journal type. Specifically, we analyzed 819 pieces of author information from 384 articles published between 2005 and 2014 in 31 journals using the existing categories, allowing comparisons of research trends between past and current and between Korean and international researchers. In addition, we used a co-authorship credit allocation method to calculate the credits of individual authors in an accurate manner, and found that 342.6 of 384 papers were contributed by solely Korean researchers. We demonstrated that the internationality and quality of Korean LIS research has increased during this time. In particular, authors who were affiliated with universities took the lead in publishing papers, and we presented that the nature of research might be related to the type of author affiliation. Based on the disciplinary backgrounds of the researchers, we also suggest that LIS research is associated with such disciplines, computer science, management, and communications.

This study analyzes the authorship of all articles published in four domestic LIS journals over a 20-year period from 2002 to 2021 to examine the current status of scholarly communication through Korean LIS journals and suggest future prospects. To achieve this purpose, the study analyzed the number of co-authors, the proportion of returning authors, the publishing preference index (PPI), the author group change trend, and the researcher attraction index (RAI). The analysis revealed the level of collaborative research in each journal, the degree of formation of related author groups by journal, the inflection point of author group changes, the characteristics of emerging researchers, and the degree of author sharing between journals. Overall, 2015 was found to be an inflection point where the author community of Korean LIS journals changed. The newer generation of researchers showed a slightly different behavior of publishing papers than the older generation, as they mainly conduct collaborative research. These quantitative results could be triangulated with the qualitative interview data of previous studies to further strengthen the development strategy of Korean LIS journals.

In the digital environment where the Internet and IT change rapidly, researchers have utilized scientific information by relying on more complex and various media than before. This study performed a group interview with thirteen questions derived from five categories in order to understand information needs and information seeking behaviors of Korean doctoral researchers in this information environment. The five categories are (1) identifying information resource usage pattern, (2) attitude towards information resources and reasons for use, (3) IT skills and information literacy, (4) physical library use vs electronic access, and (5) attitudes toward the digital library. In particular, this study focused on analyzing similarities and differences of two groups of researchers selected equally in the humanities and social sciences and in science and technology by doing the interview. The research showed that there are no differences in the goal of using scientific information, information literacy, the ratio of using written materials to electronic resources, and routes of acquiring research ideas or knowledge, but there are differences in materials used for studies or researches and in favorite scientific portal sites.

The objective of this study is to investigate the factors which influence biotechnology scientists' data sharing intention. This study employed Ostrom's theory of collective action. The target population of this study includes scientists and students of biotechnology field in South Korea. A total of 411 responses which collected by e-mail were used for the final data analysis. The summary of this study is as follows. First, norm of data sharing and academic reciprocity were found to have significant positive influences on data sharing intention directly. Second, perceived community trust was found to have significant positive influences on data sharing intention when academic reciprocity was the mediator. Third, academic reputation showed the moderating effects on the relationship between norm of data sharing and academic reciprocity, and between norm of data sharing and data sharing intention. These findings show that researchers can approach the data sharing behaviors by using the mechanism of trust, norms, reciprocity, and reputation and indicate necessity for a development of academic reputation system to promote more data sharing behaviors of researchers.

In order to successfully develop papers and have them published in notable academic journals, researchers need to be fully informed and prepared regarding the challenges publication of papers present. This study focuses on approaches for improving likelihood of publication. It first examines the development process of papers and then addresses the importance of successful revisions after the review process. It then identifies several factors which can influence the performance of papers. Finally, it concludes by offering several implications for developing papers as well as suggestions for future research.

The research about social network for analyzing human relationship has been steadily worked due to the importance in the social science field. It is also important that analyzing the relationship between researchers in the academic and research fields. Especially, the network by joint research or citation between researchers is useful to evaluating projects or making policy on academic and research fields. This paper describes a method that generates two kinds of researcher networks showing co-authorship and citation relationship between researchers based on national R&D reference information ontology. We infer pair of researchers in co-authorship or citation relationship by SPARQL query from the ontology which is composed of research outcomes and their participating researchers in RDF triples. By postprocessing, we construct researcher network which links researchers in co-authorship and citation relationship.

4차 산업혁명을 위한 국가연구개발사업에서 연구자 중심의 자율과 책임이 강조되고 있다. 자율과 책임의 연구문화를 위해서는 연구자의 자율성 보장을 확대하는 한편 책무를 다하지 못한 연구자에 대해서는 일관성 있는 제재조치를 강구해야 한다. "과학기술기본법", "국가연구개발사업 관리 등에 관한 규정"에 따를 때 연구자에게 부여되는 제재조치는 크게 참여제한, 사업비 환수, 제재부과금으로 구분될 수 있는데 본 연구에서는 일정기간 연구자의 국가연구개발사업에 참여를 제한하는 제재조치에 초점을 맞추어 살펴보고자 한다. 현재 법령상의 국가연구개발사업 참여제한 조문 규정은 연구자의 책임성 강화를 위한 '가중 규정'을 신설하는 과정에서 일부 법령 해석상의 문제가 제기되었다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 "과학기술기본법", "국가연구개발사업 관리 등에 관한 규정"의 참여제한 규정을 중심으로 연구개발과제의 수, 참여제한 사유의 동일여부, 적발시점에 따라 사례를 구분해 현 참여제한 제재조치 규정을 적용해보고 발생할 수 있는 문제점을 살펴봄으로서 4차 산업혁명 시대 연구자에게 책임감을 부여하기 위한 제재조치의 일관성을 확보 할 수 있는 개선방향을 제언하고자 하였다.
