본 연구는 최근 인터넷 분야에서 각광을 받고 있는 포털사이트의 개념, 특징 및 구성요소에 대해 살펴보았다. 세계적으로 유명한 대표적 포털사이트인 마이크로소프트(MSN), 아메리카 온라인(AOL), 야후(YAHOO)의 포털서비스 사례를 컨텐츠(contents), 커뮤니티(community), 커뮤니케이션(communication), 커머스(commerce)의 유형으로 나누어 알아보았다. 이러한 포털사이트의 개념을 도서관의 통합정보 서비스 제공에 적용할 수 있는지 알아보기 위하여 학술정보 전문 포털사이트인 한국교육학술정보원(KERIS), 연구개발정보센터(KORDIC), LG상남도서관의 포털사이트의 주요 내용을 살펴보고, 학술정보 전문 포털사이트의 모형 구축을 시도하였다.

인터넷 포털 사이트는 단순한 검색엔진을 넘어 네티즌들이 항해하는 사이버스페이스 그 자체를 의미할 정도로 영역과 개념이 확대되었다. 일반인들뿐만 아니라 전문 연구자도 필요로 하는 학술정보를 포털 사이트에서 서비스하기 때문에 포털 사이트를 많이 이용한다. 그 동안 포털의 검색은 얼마나 많은 정보를 검색 결과로 제시해 줄 것인가 하는 양적인 면에 관심을 두었다. 그러나 최근에는 검색의 질적인 측면에 보다 많은 관심이 주어지고 있다. 이 논문은 포털에서 제공하는 전문 학술정보 검색의 문제점을 제시하고, 주제어 사전 서비스와 연계하여 보다 신뢰성 높은 학술정보를 검색할 수 있게 하기 위한 시범적인 시도이다. 즉, 검증되고 압축적으로 정리된 사전의 표제어와, 해당 표제어를 키워드로 하는 권위있는 연구 성과를 같이 연계시킴으로써, 사전을 검색할 때 연구 성과까지 검색할 수 있게 하여, 검색의 효율성과 정보의 신뢰성을 높일 수 있는 방안을 제시하고자 하였다.

Internet portals have been revolutionized not only as simple search engines but also as a new space for the Internet users. They have developed to give satisfying search results for academic information users. academic fields. However, their attention was given to the quantity rather than the quality of the results. This tendency is now changing. This study addresses the problems in the search process using the current portal sites and presents an integrated scholarly information service where users can access more organized and trustworthy information linked with online technical keyword dictionary. When a user enter a keyword on a portal site, he/she can access to high quality scholarly information resources linked with keyword. This could assure the user to get an expanded knowledge with confirmation.

사용자들은 검색할 때 각자 자신이 애용하는 포털 사이트를 이용한다. 우리나라의 경우 네이버, 다음, 구글 등의 포털 사이트를 주로 이용하는 경향이 있다. 각 포털 사이트는 사이트마다 검색이 용이 하도록 검색 연산자들을 제공하고 있다. 하지만 각 포털 사이트마다 제공하는 검색 연산자의 종류, 사용 방법 등이 다양하게 제공 되고 있다. 일반적으로 대부분의 사용자들은 검색 연산자 활용이 저조할 뿐만 아니라 각 포털 사이트에서 제공되는 연산자를 인식하지 못하는 경향이 많이 발생 된다. 이 논문에서는 다양한 포털 사이트에서 활용 가능한 통합 검색 프로그램을 제공함으로써 포털 사이트 검색 및 각 포털 사이트의 검색 연산자 활용을 통한 검색 효율 극대화를 기하고자 하였다.

본 연구에서는 시공간 제약뿐만 아니라, 데이터의 다양성에 따른 제약조건까지도 최소화하여 온라인상에서 지리정보 활용성을 제고하기 위해 기존의 국가지리정보유통망을 지리정보통합포털로 발전시키기 위한 방안을 제시하였다. 이를 위해 미국의 지리정보포털인 GOS(Geospatial One-Stop)를 모델로 하여 우리나라 국가지리정보유통망을 지리정보통합포털로 발전시키기 위한 모델을 수립하였다. 지리정보통합포털 모델은 개방형 분산프로세싱 시스템 구조에 대한 In 국제표준인 RM-ODP를 기반으로 하여 전사적 관점, 정보관점, 전산관점, 공학관점에서 수립하였다. 이를 통해 국가지리정보유통망을 기반으로 각종 지리정보 및 지리정보서비스에 대한 접근성을 제고함으로써 국가차원에서 GIS활용도를 높이는데 기여할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

인터넷 이용 경험이 적은 초보자뿐만 아니라 경험자도 인터넷에서 자신에게 필요한 정보를 찾기는 쉽지 않다. 인터넷 정보자원은 급증하는 반면 인터넷 검색엔진이 원하는 정보를 찾아주는 확률은 오히려 줄어들고 있는데 이는 체계적으로 정리되어 있지 않기 때문이다. 본 연구는 인터넷의 잔문 즉 웹브라우저를 실행한 후 처음 접속하는 사이트인 포털사이트(Portal site)를 전문화하여 궁극적으로 포털을 정보이용의 최종 목적지가 될 수 있는 모형을 설계하였다. 이 모형은 도서관이 보유하고 있는 학술정보 뿐만 아니라 인터넷의 정보자원을 체계적으로 정리하고 부가서비스를 제공하여 이용자의 정보이용 편의성을 높이는데 있다.

This study aimed to develop an evaluation framework for public portal and private portal through user's perception survey. In order to specify the evaluation framework, this study chose yesKISTI and Google as a public portal and a private portal respectively. This study reviewed previous studies to develop indicators to evaluate of public and private portals and developed a framework to provide new services for public portals.

최근 시맨틱 웹 포털의 등장으로 현재 웹 포털의 많은 문제점들이 해결되고 있다. 하지만, 웹 상의 자원들이 점차 증가하면서 시맨틱 웹 포털에서의 효율적인 탐색에 대한 문제점이 발생하고 있다. 시맨틱 웹 포털은 온톨로지의 사용으로, 기존의 웹 포털과 구조적으로 다르기 때문에 사용자에게 적절한 정보를 제공할 수 있는 새로운 탐색 방법이 필요하다. 이 논문에서는 세 가지 단계로 구성된 의미적 검색 절차를 제안한다. 또한, 전자분야에서의 다중 온톨로지를 이용한 시맨틱 웹 포털을 구축하여, 본 논문에서 제안하는 의미형 검색 절차 방법을 통해 향상된 검색 성능 결과를 제시한다.

본 논문에서는 Microsoft Azure 플랫폼의 Azure PowerShell, Azure CLI(Command Line Interface), REST API를 활용하여 클라우드 기반 서비스 포털과 관리 포털을 개발함으로서 중소건설사에서 건설현장의 공사원가 관리 및 일일 관리를 위한 모듈과 서비스 제공을 위해 필요한 서비스 포털 및 관리 포털과 제품 관리 모듈 등 클라우드 서비스 구축 수행하였다.

This paper examines the ways of using information resources available through information retrieval systems of portal sites. We analyze the types of information resources, search capabilities, and interfaces of Naver, Empas, and Google Scholar. Naver's retrieval system sells research reports, papers, patents information, etc. to users, which is similar to C2C(Customer to Customer in e-commerce environment). Empas provides information from journals, research reports, and proceedings with no charge. Google Scholar's noteworthy efforts are their collaborative programs with and/or for major U.S. libraries, such as "Library Link" and "Library Project." Considering the extended information retrieval services of portals, especially the services like Google Scholar's library programs, libraries need to develop more specialized services, such as the customized information service for individual user, development of user convenience tools like OCLC WorldCat, more accessibility through ubiquitous library concept, and collaboration among libraries.
