A Study on the Patterns of Space Use and Housing Preferences to be used in the Housing Plan for Student - With Special Reference to Students in a University in Andong, Kyoungbuk - (학생용 주거계획을 위한 자취생들의 주생활특성과 주거선호에 관한 연구 -경북 안동시 소재 대학교를 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze patterns of space use and housing preferences to be used in the housing plan for students. Data was collected through questionnaire surveys from local university students living apart from their family. We collected 272 samples and analyzed them using SPSSwin program. The results are as follows; 1) The average hours of staying at the housing for student are 5 hours and 30 minutes(except sleeping time). Most of the time was used for ‘hobby’ and ‘study\ulcorner computer works’. The most of the students had ‘a meal per day’ at their housing. 2) The most preferred housing type by the students is ‘studio apartment’ and the next preferred is ‘apartment’. The highly demanded facility is ‘laundry’ and the next comes ‘kitchen’. 3) Those who spend more time in their housing than average show higher demand in ‘kitchen’ and ‘balcony’. Those who spend less time in their housing show higher demand in ‘storage’.

  • Residential indoor space is a major living setting for young children where multi-dimension at development can be expected through the interaction with items and components of the environment. The physical environment and attributes have been, however, relatively ignored. Especially during last several decades of housing development, residential units have been produced without accurate understanding of residents' material possession. To better design living environments, especially, a life setting for children, this research focused on finding out the characteristics of living items which belong to and are used by children.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop practical problem focused teaching learning process plan for housing for the later life in order to apply it to the older stage of family planning section of Technology Home Economics in a highschool. Practical problem focused method was used for the teaching learning process plans of 3-session lessons according to the ADDIE model. The global practical problem was "What should I do to plan a safe and comfortable housing for the later life?" In the development stage, 53 teaching learning materials (44 students activity materials, 2 students' and 5 teacher' reading texts, and 2 moving pictures) were developed for 3-session lessons. The planes applied to the 5 classes, 150 students, in the freshmen of B highschool during April 20th-24th, 2009. The 5 point likert questionnaire were used to evaluate the 3-session lessons about 4 contents related aspects as well as the methods and effects of the lessons besides 2 open ended questions. The overall evaluation was very positive in all 6 aspects of the lessons. Some students wanted to learn more about universal design and aging related jobs. Those results showed that the practical problem focused teaching learning process plan for housing for the later life which this study developed would be appropriate to teach the older stage of family planning section related to housing and could be adjusted to the condition of each school and regions.

The Need for Healthy Families Education in Home Economics Subject of High School Students (고등학생의 가정과 교과에서 건강가정에 관한 교육 요구도)

  • The aim of this study was to examine the need for healthy families education in home economics subject. This study also purposed to find new education direction of healthy families education in home economics subjects helpful in leading healthy family life and provide basic data for organizing curriculum suitable to the purpose. The subject of this survey was targeted for 550 girl and boy juniors of high schools located in Seoul and the Capital area, and data were collected through questionnaire survey. The result of this survey is summarized as the following: First, Boy students need for healthy families education in home economics subject of high school students was 3.63, Girl students need for healthy families education in home economics subject of high school students was 3.66. Boy students needed was 'marriage and becoming parents', the highest need, followed by 'methods to talk with families', 'management of nutrition', 'household economy', 'management of clothes and residence', and 'home culture', Girl students needed was 'marriage and becoming parents', the highest need, followed by 'methods to talk with families', 'management of nutrition' 'home culture', 'household economy' and 'management of clothes and residence'. The need for healthy families education in home economics subject of high school students was 3.64, over the middle level. The area students needed was 'marriage and becoming parents', the highest need, followed by 'methods to talk with families', 'management of nutrition', 'household economy', 'management of clothes and residence' and 'home culture'. Second, the need for healthy families education in home economics subjects of high school students based on family background showed significant difference depending on department of school, family type, parents' academic background, parents' occupation and monthly household income.

  • According to the changing environment of modern society, a resident of the symbols reflects the growing need for housing has risen.   • 영예의 대통령상이 수여되는 한국건축문화대상의 대상이 올해부터 '비주거'와 '주거'로 나뉘어 확대, 시상한다. 그 첫번째 수혜자로 비주거부문은 김삭식 건축사(주.금성 종합건축사사무소 대표)가 설계하고, (주)금호산업이 시공한 '광주광역시청사'가 주거부문에는 김종국(주.종합건축사사무소 건원)건축사가 설계하고, 현대산업개발(주)이 시공한 '아이파크 삼성동'이 국내 준공건축물들을 대상으로 한 2004한국건축문화대상에서 영예의 대상으로 각각 선정됐다. 또 올해 한국건축문화대상에서는 KT여의도사옥 등 6작품이 본상을 차지한 것을 비롯해 우수상 등 모두 22개 작품이 수상작으로 선정됐다. "불이 - Architecture in NatureㆍNature in Architecture"를 주제로 공모한 일반 및 신인ㆍ학생 대상의 계획건축물부문에서는 박종대, 윤새봄, 김정희(인하대학교 건축공학과대학원 건축의장연구실)씨가 공동 출품한 'Plankton House'가 금상을 차지한 것을 비롯해 은상 2팀, 동상 3팀 입선 22점 등 모두 28개 팀이 입상했다. 올해 한국건축문화대상에는 준공건축물부문 89점, 계획건축물부문 252점 등 총 341개 작품이 응모했다. 비주거 부문의 대상을 차지한 광주광역시청사는 "관 건물의 이미지를 탈피하여 하나의 문화 건물로 탈바꿈하려는 시도가 특히 돋보이는 작품으로 시공에도 많은 어려움이 있었음에도 불구하고 완성도가 우수한 작품"이란 평을 받았다. 또한 주거 부문의 아이파크 삼성동은 "아파트이면서도 주상복합의 이미지를 구현시키면서 판상형 형태에서 벗어나 탑상형 배치에 의한 낮은 건폐율 적용으로 친환경적인 단지를 이루고 있으며, 특히 시공이 매우 우수한 작품"이란 평을 받았다. 한편 올해부터 우리나라 건축문화발전을 위해 기여한 건축인을 발굴해 시상하는 '올해의 건축인상'을 제정, 그 첫번째 수상자로 김석철 건축사(아키반건축도시연구원 건축사사무소)와 이창남 건축사(센구조 건축사사무소)가 선정되어 건설교통부장관상을 받았다. 시상식은 지난 11월 24일 서울 종로구 세종로 세종문화회관 컨벤션홀에서 개최되어 대상의 비주거부문 수상작의 설계자인 김상식 건축사에게 대통령상 그리고 시공자인 (주)금호산업에게는 건설교통부장관상, 건축주인 광주광역시장에게는 국무총리상이 수여됐다. 또한 주거부문 수상작의 시공자인 현대산업개발(주)에게 대통령상 그리고 설계자인 김종국 건축사에게는 국무총리상, 건축주인 현대산업개발(주)에게는 건설교통부장관상이 수여됐다. 또 KT 여의도빌딩 등 본상 6개 작품의 설계자 및 시공자에게는 건설교통부장관상 등 정부포상이, 준공건축물부문 우수상 입상자 전원에게는 각각 대한건축사협회장상, 서울경제신문사장상이 수여됐다. 계획건축물부문의 금상 수상자에게는 건설교통부장관상과 상금이 수여되었으며, 은상과 동상, 입선작은 대한건축사협회장상과 상금이 각각 수여됐다. 아울러 동상이상 수상자 중 영어 인터뷰심사를 거쳐 2명을 선발, ARCASIA 학생잼버리대회 파견 특전이 주어진다. 건설교통부와 대한건축사협회, (주)서울경제신문이 공동주최하고 대한주택공사 등 건설관련 5개 단체가 후원하는 한국건축문화대상은 올해로 13회째 개최되고 있다. 더욱이 올해에는 대통령상을 두 부문으로 나누어 시상하는 등 그 폭이 넓어져 수상자에게 더 큰 영예를 주었으며, 시간이 흐를수록 그동안 기성 건축인들의 창작의욕 고취는 물론 건축저변을 크게 확대하였다는 평과 아울러 우리 건축문화 창달에 기여해 한국건축문화대상은 명실공히 국내 건축인은 물론 일반 국민의 대표 건축축제로 자리매김하고 있다.

Development of a Student Chair for Promoting the Physical Growth and Safety (신체발육과 안전 증진을 위한 학생용 의자 개발)

  • 우리의 식생활 및 주거 환경이 향상됨에 따라 과거에 비해 학생들의 체격이 커지고 체형 또한 점차 서구화 되가는 경향을 보이고 있으나 아직까지도 초${\cdot}$${\cdot}$고등학교에서는 학생 자신의 체격에 적합하게 조절하여 사용할 수 없는 고정형 의자를 사용하고 있다. 이에 따라 학생들의 신체발육에 지장을 초래 할 수 있으며 특히 요통과 같은 허리에 문제를 일으킬 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 학생 자신의 체격에 맞게 높낮이를 자유롭게 조절하여 사용할 수 있는 학생용 의자를 개발하였다. 개발된 조절형 의자는 일반적으로 사용하는 학생용 의자의 다리부분에 풀림과 조임이 가능한 금속제 나사형식의 높이조절봉을 도입하여 공구가 필요 없이 손으로 회전시켜 좌판의 높이를 자유롭게 조절하여 사용할 수 있게 설계하였다. 또한 의자 등받이는 전${\cdot}$${\cdot}$${\cdot}$하방향으로 이동되게 함으로써 착석 시 좌판의 깊이와 등받이의 높낮이를 동시에 한번의 동작으로 조절 가능하게 하였다. 한편 개발된 조절형 의자는 현재 우리나라에서 채택하여 사용하고 있는 ISO 5970(Standards for tables and chairs for educational institutions)과 비교하여 수용능력에 따른 적합성 여부를 평가하였으며 피실험자 40명을 대상으로 fitting trials를 실시하였다. 평가결과 개발된 조절형 의자는 두가지 평가 기준에 적합하였으며 실용화 가능성을 발견하였다. 향후 이를 각급 학교 및 학원에 보급 활용함으로써 학생들의 이상체형 형성을 억제하여 신체 발육과 안전을 도모할 수 있으며 학습효과 또한 높일 수 있다고 판단된다.

A Study on the Student Housing in the Regional University -Focused on the University at Hongsung Kun, Chungnam- (지방대학교의 학생주거에 관한 연구 -충남 홍성군 소재 대학교를 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide a practical guide for the actual conditions and the preference of student housing in a regional university. The data are collected through questionnaire surveys from the students of a regional university. 265 samples are collected, and are analyzed by using SPSS-PC. The results are as follows: 1) The actual conditions of student housing Most residents of student housing(76.3%) come from the Capital region. Most of student housing are located at 30 minute distance from the school. Most of house style are Offistel as one room style. Most of housing size are within 10 minute distance from the school. Most of house style are Offistel as one room style. Most of housing size are within 10py, and two people reside in one unit. The average hours of staying at the student housing are over 10 hours. The most inconvenient factor is the lack of soundproofing in the current student housing. 2) The preference of student housing The most preferred location is in the walking distance from the school, and the apartment is the most preferred housing style. The most preferred installation of inside is internet connection. When choosing student housing, students prefer the distance from the school as the most important factor. Most female students reside with a roommate within 10 py of housing size, cook for themselves, and consider rent and maintenance fee as the decision factors in choosing housing. The most preferred style of house is apartment, and they prefer to install basic furniture and kitchen system inside of housing. As students go up to higher grade, they prefer the apartment, and prefer to cook for themselves. More fresh men reside with a roommate compared to other grades. They prefer Offistel with meals service at a walking distance from the school.

Users' Satisfaction on the Dormitory of High School in Jeonju City (고등학교 기숙사 주거시설에 대한 사용자 만족도)

  • This study was to find out users' satisfaction on the dormitory high school in Jeonju City and to propose it's physical environmental improvement directions. This was performed by a questionnaire survey method, and the questionnaire was designed by researchers considering relative literatures. Data were collected from 200 students, who had been dwelling 4 high school dormitories in Jeonju City. By analyzing those data, findings were as follows : 1) Users of students were satisfied the whole of their dormitory; facilities, spaces, and living. 2) They were highly concerned about a library and a personal unit space in their dormitory. 3) They needed their personal unit space to be designed bedroom+bathroom type with 2 persons' sharing and be equipped one story bed and desk furniture. Also, they needed improvement on heating & cooling, small space and indoor air quality of unit space. 4) The users' satisfaction on unit space were 3.23, and the space utility and the space size of functional factor and the heating/ventilation of technical factor were highly effected their satisfaction.
