Quantitative Evaluation of Escape Safety Considering Extension of Escape Time by Escape Distance and Escape Barrier (피난거리와 장해에 의한 피난시간 연장의 정량화를 통한 피난안전성의 정량적인 평가수법개발)

  • Escape distance and escape barrier are critical elements for the quantitative evaluation of escape safety. Through theoretical demonstration and modeling in precedent studies, they have been analyzed for their generality and applicability. To make more practical evaluation method, we should quantitatively analyze the influence of each barrier and escape condition on escape safety considering various barriers in escaping routes. In this study, to develop more accurate and applicable escape analysis model, we have focused on three research methods as below: First, we derived quantified function to predict various escape barriers in escaping routes by theoretical analyses of the escape barriers and conditions. Second, we substituted the derived quantified function for an evaluation tool of escape safety suggested by precedent studies. Third, we examined applicability and feasibility of the developed method by modeling with the consideration of the escape conditions and barriers.

  • 본 연구에서는 초고층 건축물에서 피난을 할 때 피난자에게 작용하는 신체 조건과 수직적 이동방향에 따른 피난시간을 분석하였다. 초고층 건축물에서의 피난은 특성상 많은 계단을 통해 이동해야 하므로 피난자는 심리적 행동보다 주로 신체적 능력에 의존하는데, 이 때 피난자의 피로도는 계단수가 올라갈수록 급격히 상승하게 된다. 즉, 총 피난시간은 단순히 피난자의 평지 보행속도에 비례하여 증감할 뿐만 아니라 체력 등의 다른 신체적 영향 또한 받게 된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 피난자의 신체조건을 고려한 피난예상시간을 산정하기 위해 필요한 조건들을 연구하고자 실물 실험에서의 상 하향의 보행방향과 참가자들의 신체조건에 따른 피난시간을 통계적으로 분석하였다.

  • 선상에서의 승객들의 보행속도, 운항 중 피난특성, 피난시 연기농도가 미치는 영향 등 선박에서의 피난상황을 해석하는 데 필요한 몇몇 연구가 수행된 바 있다. 그러나 정전 조건에서 승선자의 피난성능에 관한 연구는 미비하여, 이론적 혹은 실험적 연구가 수행된 사례를 찾아보기 어려운 상황이다. 이에 이 연구에서는 선박에서의 인적안전피난해석 프로그램인 Maritime EXODUS를 활용하여 승선자의 분포특성을 고려한 세 가지 시나리오에 대한 피난시간을 예측 비교하였다. 이 연구에서는 선행된 운항훈련선의 선내 정전조건보행실험에서 취득한 피실험자 보행속도 결과를 반영하였다.

  • In this paper shows the development of the Program(FDS2EXODUS) for Generating Hazard condition file of BuildingEXODUS code based on the FDS Fire-simulation Data. The program were applied with numerical method to translate from FDS to BuildingEXODUS. Using both single or multi block meshes of FDS get to be possible. For application of fire effect, the fire data were loaded directly to BuildingEXODUS in the case of FDS code with using this Program(FDS2EXODUS). It was very convenient to input to BuildingEXODUS and could be reduced the procedure of egress simulation from fire disaster.

  • 성능 위주 피난 설계에 있어서 요구피난시간(RSET)을 위한 Simulex 등 피난 시뮬레이션 툴이 사용하고 있는 근본적인 데이터베이스, 즉, 시설 및 군중 조건에 따른 이동 변수, 최대 비유동률(Maximum Specific Flows) 및 경계폭(Boundary Layer Width)을 살펴보고, 트래픽 방정식(Traffic Equation)을 통한 계산 사례 즉, 피난자의 이동 속도 계산 사례, 최소 피난 시간 계산 사례 및 총 유동 용량(Flow Capacity) 수식과 계산 사례를 살펴본다.

  • The purpose of this research is to investigate consciousness for the effect of evacuation guidance in case of ship blackout condition evacuation. As a research result, 74.3% of respondents answered that evacuation guidance is strongly helpful in the event of ship blackout condition.

  • This study focused on the construction of Korean Evacuation load Model for reflecting Korean Evacuation behaviors. For the purposes, several evacuation experiments are executed according to the ages, and the level and types of disabilities. We accumulated the data on the evacuation velocity and behavior patterns according the ages, and the level and types of disabilities. From these results, we proposed the Korean Evacuation Load Model and compared with several popular evacuation simulation model such SIMULEX. As results of these studies, we found the possibility of construction of Korean Evacuation Simulation System based on the Korean Evacuation Model including the evacuation velocity and human behaviors.

  • The purposes of this study are to propose evacuation recommendations through evacuation model considering occupancy load model in child care center with disabilities. To achieve these purposes, the survey on the occupancy load and egress model and evacuation experiments have carried out, and evacuation occupancy load model for child care center with disabilities are suggested. The results of this study are as follows : (1) The evacuation plan for children with disabilities are necessary special considerations according the type and levels of disability, and various egress means and method for children in child care center with disabilities conditions. (2) The evacuation occupancy loads are different with non-impaired children and evacuation occupancy loads and evacuation corridors width are necessary considering impaired children's evacuation behaviors. (3) The temporal evacuation area(refuge area) is essential for children with disability who are impossible vertical evacuation such as impaired children using wheelchair and cerebral palsy.

  • The safe evacuation of people during disasters is of utmost importance. Various life safety evacuation simulation tools have been developed and implemented, with most relying on algorithms that analyze maps to extract the shortest path and guide agents along predetermined routes. While effective in predicting evacuation routes in stable disaster conditions and short timeframes, this approach falls short in dynamic situations where disaster scenarios constantly change. Existing algorithms struggle to respond to such scenarios, prompting the need for a more adaptive evacuation route algorithm that can respond to changing disasters. Artificial intelligence technology based on reinforcement learning holds the potential to develop such an algorithm. As a fundamental step in algorithm development, this study aims to evaluate whether an evacuation algorithm developed by reinforcement learning satisfies the performance conditions of the evacuation simulation tool required by IMO MSC.1/Circ1533.

  • It has been recognized that the evacuation planning is very important for effective evacuation of occupants on fire event. However the present evacuation planning and regulation for fire safety usually tend to meet the minimum requirements based on the existing laws and regulations. The ultimate goal of the evacuation planning is evacuate occupants rapidly from building fires to the safe areas. In this study, First, analyzed occupants load density and occupants characteristics in high-rise apartment buildings, Second, A evacuation safety performance of high-rise apartment buildings was analyzed with various typical floor plans. The purpose of this study is to figure out the evacuation characteristics in high-rise apartment buildings and improve countermeasure through comparative study on the Evacuation regulation and floor plans for High-rise Apartment buildings.
