  • In this study, we will explain the concept of an organized and collective web based project learning system and suggest a basic structure concentrating on the learners. The web-based project learning system enables learners to use the diverse information on the internet any where, any time. Also the project system aims to go beyond classroom education and achieve learner-focused education with a project based on the students' tastes.

  • Internet ethics is one of liberal arts courses in a college. We also have taught this subject for a number of years. In order to effectively communicate to students the internet ethics course, we gave some demonstration practice lectures by taking advantage of internet ethics related videos. Since the latest video presentation and its discussion were performed, it was helpful for students to recognize the internet ethical issues and concerns. However, simply video watching is short in the view of students' learning outcome improvement, since each student just watches the content passively in a class. Thus, we assign small student group consisting of 3 people make a video on internet ethics topic. This team project based class methodology is effective to each student who actively participates in the class and understands the concept which they directly make a video. We confirmed that classroom students' understanding for internet ethics has been increased by a survey of the class attendees.

  • Team collaboration is becoming commonplace and it is spotlighted in agile software development projects as well. More efficient teamwork in terms of effective team operation and project performance is very important. Heuristic software development staffing method has been used, but algorithm approach is needed to compensate for it. In this paper, we propose a mathematical approaches for staffing developers in teamwork-based software development projects. This consist of six process, and activities in each processor is defined as a mathematical function placement, and functional deployment matrix is used. A case study is presented in order to prove the usefulness of this approach. This paper is a significant research because a mathematical approach of work assignment is developed for human resources by quantitative logic and it deviate from intuitive or heuristic methods used previously.

  • In the many countries including United States, numerous librarians participate as research project members and publish papers in related/non-LIS journals. In recent years, the quantity of papers published by librarians in LIS journals and the non-LIS journals is similar. This study analyzed whether librarians join the research team in various academic fields in South Korea, carry out the research together, and publish the papers in co-authorship. This study collected and analyzed 319 articles of the authors affiliated with libraries published in the last 10 years from the Korea Citation Index. As a result, there were not many articles published by the authors in the non-LIS journal. Nonetheless, specific examples of librarians collaborating closely with other disciplinary research teams were observed; Medicine, Architecture, Materials Engineering, etc. Librarians' contribution in research projects in South Korea is expected to increase in the future. Therefore, it is desirable to prepare for this such as opening courses on research projects in the library and the department of LIS which is training librarians as well.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between team creativity and two distinct aspects of team personality composition: (a) team personality elevation (TPE) (b) team personality diversity (TPD). and team creativity. Engineering college students (N=249) working in 48 teams were assessed on the Big 5 personality traits. For the traits of extraversion and openness to experience, TPD predicted team creativity; TPE of conscientiousness, agreeableness, and neuroticism predicted team creativity. Finally, limitations of this study and suggestions for future studies were discussed.
