Performance Analysis of UMB Signal Acquisition Algorithms According to Frame Interval and Bin Spacing in indoor Wireless Channels (실내 무선 환경에서 프레임 및 탐색 단위 구간에 따른 UWB 신호 동기 획득 알고리즘의 성능 분석)

  • In this paper, we analyze the performance of linear search and bit reversal search algorithms based on the single-dwell serial search for rapid UWB (Ultra Wide Band) signal acquisition in typical indoor wireless channel environments. Simulation results according to bin spacing and frame interval in IEEE 802.15 Task Group 3a UWB indoor wireless channels show that bit reversal search algorithm achieves much smaller normalized mean acquisition time than linear search algorithm. In particular, it is found that the normalized mean acquisition time of the bit reversal search according to the range of searching termination interval closely matches the ideal case. In addition, we observe that the acquisition performance of bit reversal search algorithm becomes much better as bin spacing gets finer.

  • The clock frequency difference of sensor nodes is one of main parameters in TOF estimation and affect to degrade ranging algorithms to estimate positions of mobile nodes in wireless sensor networks. The specification of IEEE802.15.4a describes asynchronous TWR and SDS-TWR insensitive to frequency difference without any additional network synchronization. But the TWR and SDS-TWR can not eliminate sufficiently the effect of frequency difference of node pair, packet processing delay and its difference. Especially use of low cost oscillator with wide range offset, sensor node with different hardware and software can make the positioning errors worse. We propose an estimation method of frequency differences, and apply the measured frequency differences to TWR and SDS-TWR. We evaluate the performance of the proposed algorithm with simulation, and make certain that the proposed method enhances the performance of existing algorithms with positioning errors less than 25 cm.

  • Real-time application programs have synchronization constraints which need to be met between media-data. Synchronization method represents feedback method including virtual client-side buffer. This buffer is used in buffer level method. It is client-leading synchronization that is absorbing variable transmission delay time and that is synchronizing by feedback control. It is the important factor for playback rate and QoS if the buffer level is normal or not. To solve the problems, we can control the start of transmission in multimedia server by appling filtering, control and network evaluation function. Synchronization method is processing for smooth presentation without cut-off while media is playing out. When audio frame which is master media is in high threshold buffer level we decrease play out time gradually, otherwise we increase it slowly.

High-Performance Multi-GPU Rendering Based on Implicit Synchronization (묵시적 동기화 기반의 고성능 다중 GPU 렌더링)

  • Recently, growing attention has been paid to multi-GPU rendering to support real-time high-quality rendering at high resolution. In order to attain high performance in real-time multi-GPU rendering, great care needs to be taken to reduce the overhead of data transfer among GPUs and frame composition. This paper presents a novel multi-GPU algorithm that greatly enhances split frame rendering with implicit query-based synchronization. In order to support implicit synchronization in frame composition, we further present a message queue-based scheduling algorithm. We carried out an experiment to evaluate our algorithm, and found that our algorithm improved rendering performance up to 200% more than previously existing algorithms.

Efficient Synchronization Scheme for Cooperative Communication System over Fading Channel (페이딩 환경에서의 효율적인 협력통신 시스템 동기 알고리즘 연구)

  • In this paper, we studied the novel synchronization algorithm for cooperative communication system over fading. We research mainly on the decode-and-forward scheme. Also, we inserted spreading sequence in origin data frame to control efficiently data synchronization. In mobile station, inserted spreading sequence in data frame passed through the corelation process. We had decide the delay value of received data through result of correlation process. In simulation, We applied that channel gain of three node had different value in various fading environment. Finally we will be possible to control the received data synchronization using result of corelation value in each node between relay to mobile station and base station to mobile station. The results of this paper can be applicable to the cooperative systems.

The Framework of Decision Making for Choice of Camping Site Selection Attributes according to Camping Motivation (캠핑동기에 따른 캠핑장 선택속성 의사결정의 프레임워크 구축에 관한 연구)

  • This study focused on building the convergence framework of decision-making for camping site selection attributes. The first stage of study is to identify the camping motivations. The camping motivations are composed of 5 factors. The second stage is to identify the camping site selection attributes. They are composed of 4 factors. The relationships between camping site selection attributes and camping motivations are examined through the multi-regression analysis. The camping site selection attributes were significantly influenced by thr type of camping motivation. Lastly, the relationship between camping site selection attributes and camper's satisfaction and behavioral intention are testified. The implications are that camping site operators and developers need to understand the segmented camping motivations and site selection attributes. They could be the guideline of implementing the developing planning strategies of camping site.

  • 고속 무선통신에 적합한 OFDM 신호를 복조하기 위해서는 빠르고 정확한 심볼의 시작점을 찾는 것이 중요하다. 본 논문에서는 고속 무선 LAN에서 사용되는 Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM)시스템에서 훈련신호를 효율적으로 사용해서 심볼 동기를 검출하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 제안된 알고리즘은 직교성이 뛰어난 PN 코드를 훈련신호로 사용하여 OFDM 심볼의 대략적 프레임 동기는 훈련 신호의 실수 부분을 최소오차 방식을 적용하고 정밀한 심볼동기는 주기가 짧은 PN 코드를 결합시켜 하나의 심볼을 만든 후 상관관계를 적용하여 검출하였다. 그 결과 제안된 알고리즘이 계산량을 현저하게 줄이면서 심볼 동기는 정확하게 검출함을 확인하였다.

  • 미디어 데이터는 별도의 채널을 할당하여 채널 별로 단일 미디어 정보를 순서대로 전송 함으로서 동일 미디어 데이터는 순서가 변할 우려는 없다. 그러나 이러한 다채널 방식에서는 미디어간 동기화 문제를 유발 시키는데 수신 측에서는 새로 발생된 데이터의 시작 시점을 서로 맞춤으로서 미디어간 동기화를 실현하였다. 새로운 미디어의 시작 시 항상 제어 데이터를 먼저 전송하여 새로운 미디어 데이터의 생성을 모든 참여자 프로세스에 알린다. 제안하는 오류 제어는 홈 네트워크 환경에서 멀티미디어 응용 개발 프레임워크에서 오류 발생시 오류를 하나의 미디어로 취급하며 멀티미디어 응용 개발 프레임워크에서 다채널 방식을 사용한다.

  • 본고에서는 동기식 전송신호인 STM-N(Synchronous Transport Module-Level N) 의 형성을 위한 동기식 다중방식에 대해 개관하고, 초고속 STM-N 신호처리에 필수적으로 요구되는 프레이밍 및 스크램블링을 보다 저속에서 처리할 수 있는 병렬신호처리 알고리즘과 이의 구현기법에 대해 기술한다.
