A study on the real time quality estimation in laser tailored blank welding (레이저 테일러드 브랭크 용접의 실시간 품질판단 및 통계프로그램에 관한 연구)

  • Welding using lasers can be mass-produced in high speed. In the laser welding, performing real-time evaluation of the welding quality is very important in enhancing the efficiency of welding. In this study, the plasma and molten metal which are generated during laser welding were measured using the UV sensor and IR sensor. The results of laser welding were classified into five categories such as optimal heat input, little low heat input, low heat input, focus off, and nozzle change. Also, a system was formulated which uses the measured signals with a fuzzy pattern recognition method which is used to perform real-time evaluation of the welding quality and the defects which can occur in laser welding. Weld quality prediction program was developed using previous weld results and statistical program which could show the trend of weld quality and signal was developed.

  • This paper deals with condition monitoring for tool wear during tuning operation. To develop economic sensing and identification methods for turning processes, sound pressure measurement and digital signal processing technique are proposed. To identify noise sources of tool wear and reject background noise, noise rejection methodology is proposed. features to represent condition of tool wear are obtained through analysis using adaptive filter and FFT in time and frequency domain. By using fuzzy pattern recognition, we extract features, which are sensitive to condition of tool wear, from several features and make a decision on tool wear. The validity of the proposed system is condirmed through the large number of cutting tests in two cutting conditions.

  • Plant pipe has a fatigue life which is induced by repeated stress come from the variation of temperature and pressure. To avoid the fatigue crack of plant pipe which is produced by long term repeated stress, plant operator has to limit the mont of operating transient. This paper introduced the study result about discrimination methodology of plant transient by using the fuzzy pattern recognition. As result of applying the fuzzy pattern recognition to actual plant operation data, it is confirmed that fuzzy pattern recognition methodology can be useful for the comparison of similarity for the transients of similar output but has different time pattern.

  • Many research in Robot control has effectively proceeded on the development of Aritficial Intelligence Robot which is able to apply to the uncertain and monotonous operations which are repeated continuously in the industrial field. In this study, the precise shape recognition of base metal for welding was gained by mono CCD camera, and the gained data was transformed into Decimal code through Image Board in computer. And the Fuzzy Logic control system designed by use of Fuzzy rule was built to judge whether the base metals were precisely matched or not with Decimal code. Machanically manipulated Robot syst em was linked to Fuzzy Control system through image information, and ultimately, these systems will be able to apply for production system.

  • Recently pictorial information processing has become increasingly important So, this paper described that feature points of fingerprint used to recognize fingerprints for identification in a government or arresting criminals in an institution like a police station related to crime. We apply an algorithm based on minimization of fuzzy theory to thinning and then the image into a certain size of squares. We have got some information about cores and deltas from the data encoding Into one of the eight directional codes. We could extract about $80\%$ feature points as the result of the experiment.

  • Direct torque control (DTC) scheme provides a very quick torque response without the complex field-orientation block and inner current regulation loop. DTC is known as an appropriate scheme for high power induction motet drives because it can be used at lower switching frequency. There are two major drawbacks with the application of DTC schemes : one is large current harmonics due to flux drooping in a low speed range, the other is that the inverter switching frequency is varying according to motor parameters and operating speed. Switching devices in the power electronics drives should be supported for relatively high switching frequency. In this paper, a P-type fuzzy controller to realize the variable switching sector scheme and a PID-type fuzzy switching frequency regulator are adopted. A meaningful contribution of this paper is to propose a simple realization scheme of the fuzzy switching frequency regulator. Simulation results show the effectiveness of those propositions.

  • 상황인식 서비스 분야에서 불확실한 데이터를 추론하는 것은 매우 어렵고 복잡하다. 이러한 상황정보들에서 얻어지는 데이터는 불확실성을 내포하고 있어서 불확실한 추론 결과를 초래할 수 있다. 비록 불확실성 문제들을 해결하기 위해 퍼지 이론, 뉴런 네트워크, 동적 베이지안 네트워크, 은닉 마르코프 모델과 같은 여러 종류의 방법들이 제시되었지만 이러한 방법들은 가설들을 하나의 숫자에 의해 신뢰의 정도를 표시하기 때문에 많은 어려움이 있다. 본 논문에서는 사용자들이 제공받는 서비스들에 대하여 만족도를 평가한 후 수집된 데이터를 활용하여 사용자들의 상관 관계를 분석한다. 그리고 Dempster-Shafer 이론을 사용하여 사용자들로부터 측정된 믿음 값을 융합한다. 이는 불확실성 값을 낮추어 추론결과의 정확성을 높이고 증거구간을 재설정하여 사용자들에게 신뢰성 있는 적응형 서비스를 제공하게 한다.

  • 플러스터링이란 주어진 데이터 집합의 패턴들을 비슷한 성실을 가지는 그룹으로 나누어 패턴 상호간의 관계를 정립하기 위한 방법론으로, 지금가지 이를 위한 많은 알고리즘들이 개발되어 왔으며, 패턴인식, 영상 처리 등의 여러 공학 분야에 널리 적용되고 있다. FCM(Fuzzy C-Means) 알고리즘은 최소자승 기준함수(least square criterion function)에 퍼지이론을 적용만 목적함수의 반복최적화(iterative optimization)에 기반을 둔 방식으로, 하드 분할에 의한 기존의 클러스터링 방법이 승자(winner take all) 형태의 방법론을 취하는데 비하여, 각 패턴이 특정 클러스터에 속하는 소속정도를 줌으로써 보다 정확한 정보를 형성하도록 도와준다. 본 논문에서는 FCM 기법을 이용한 웹로그 분석을 하고자 한다.

  • 최근 로봇의 개발 경향은 인간과 로봇이 공존하면서 서비스를 제공하는 로봇의 개발이 지속적으로 증가하는 추세이다. 인간은 자신의 성향에 맞게 능동적인 역할 수행하는 서비스 로봇을 요구한다. 하지만 일률적으로 생산된 서비스 로봇은 다양한 사람들의 개성을 모두 충족시키지 못하고 있다. 그래서 사용자의 환경, 상황을 인식하고 사용자의 성향에 맞는 행동을 지능적으로 판단하고 대처할 수 있는 로봇이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 주변 환경을 평가하고 로봇이 스스로 행동할 수 있는 지능형 알고리즘을 제안하고자 한다. 다수 입력을 통해 제어할 수 있도록 퍼지 룰을 이용하여 추론하였다.

  • The Possibilistic C-means(PCM) was proposed to overcome some of the drawbacks associated with the Fuzzy C-means(FCM) such as improved performance for noise data. However, PCM possesses some drawbacks such as sensitivity in initial parameter values and to patterns that have relatively short distances between the prototypes. To overcome these drawbacks, we propose an interval type 2 fuzzy approach to PCM by considering uncertainty in the fuzzy parameter m in the PCM algorithm.
