동대문 패션상권 경쟁력 강화를 위한 정책 제안 (A Study on the Policies for Strengthening Competitiveness of DongDeaMoon fashion market)

  • 동대문 패션상권은 전국의 소매상을 위한 도매의 기능과 함께 현대화된 대형 쇼핑몰을 중심으로 소매의 기능까지 도맡고 있다. 또한 동대문 패션상권은 동대문 1km 반경 내에서 원부자재와 봉제공장, 패션상가 등 관련 산업이 집적되어있어 패션상품의 기획과 생산, 판매 및 유통이 완결되는 매우 독특한 구조를 가지고 있다. 그러나 동대문 패션상권은 보유하고 있는 경쟁력에 비해 급변하는 시장환경의 변화에 적절하게 대응하지 못해 위기를 맞고 있다. 이를 극복하기 위해 정부에서는 여러 가지 노력을 기울였으나 그 효과가 지속적이지 못하고 일회성에 그치고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 현재 시행되고 있는 정책들을 살펴보고 그 정책들이 간과하고 있는 동대문 패션상권의 활성화에 대한 정책을 전문가 인터뷰를 통해 도출, 제안했다.

동대문드림과 한국형 패션쇼핑몰의 개발제안

  • 현대화된 새로운 개념의 패션쇼핑몰(Fashion Shopping Mall)이 동대문 시장을 중심으로 속속 개발되면서 국내 유통시장의 큰 변화와 함께 동대문 드림의 신화를 탄생시켰다. 특히 '98. 8. 밀리오레와 '99. 2. 두산타워의 등장은 도,소매가 혼재된 젊음의 패션특구로 신세대의 폭발적인 인기에 힘입어 기존 백화점과 의류 군집상가 등을 위협하는 존재가 되고 있다. 동대문의 재래의류시장 재개발(redevelopment) 붐은 동대문 상권을 도매기능은 동부의 디자이너 클럽, 팀 204 등이 주도하고 있으며, 소비자에게 널리 알려진 서부의 소매상권은 밀리오레, 두산타워, 프레야타운이 함께 트리오 시대를 열어가고 있다. 상권 및 패션쇼핑몰의 이미지가 쇼핑몰 이용객의 행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Retail Area and Shopping Mall Images on Consumer Behaviors)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of retail area image and shopping mall image on consumer behaviors in the retail area and in the shopping ma]1. Data were obtained from a survey to a stratified sample selected at the exits of five different malls. A total of 740 questionnaires were distributed, and 661 responses were analyzed. Stepwise regression analysis revealed that two retail area image factors of variety of stores and atmosphere significantly affected all three consumer behaviors (shopping, service facility visits, social activities). Stepwise logistic regression showed that facility and atmosphere of the retail area image and product & service and convenience of the fashion shopping mall image affected seven consumer behaviors in the shopping mall. The results indicate that the retail area image as well as the shopping mall image affects a variety of consumer behaviors in the shopping mall though no shopping mal1 image affects behaviors in the retail area.

광역쇼핑시설의 중소유통 상권잠식 효과: 복합쇼핑몰 등 4개 신유통업태를 중심으로 (Consumer Behavior for Regional Shopping Facilities and its Impact on Small Businesses)

  • 본 연구는 수도권 소재 광역쇼핑시설이 기존상권에 미치는 영향을 분석함으로써 광역쇼핑시설을 둘러싼 대·중소 유통갈등의 합리적 해소를 위한 실증적 논거를 제공하고 정책적 함의를 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 광역쇼핑시설은 본 연구에서 사용한 조작적 용어로서 대형마트보다 배후상권 범위가 훨씬 커진 대형 쇼핑시설 유형을 지칭하는 것으로, 하위 유형으로는 초대형백화점, 복합쇼핑몰, 대형패션 아울렛, 창고형 대형마트 등의 네 가지 유통업태를 포함한다. 광역쇼핑시설의 배후상권 특성은 비교집단으로서 대형마트까지 포함하여 다섯 가지 유통업태를 대상으로 분석하였으나, 광역쇼핑시설 출점이 기존상권에 미치는 영향은 네 가지 광역쇼핑시설 업태에 대해서만 분석하였다. 본 연구의 조사방법의 특징은, 특정 점포 단위의 중소상인 대상 설문조사에 의존한 선행연구들과 달리 본 연구는 수도권 내 모든 점포와 모든 소비자를 대상으로 한 설문조사를 활용함으로써 점포 단위가 아닌 지역 단위의 총량적, 평균적 상권영향을 분석하였다는 점이다. 조사분석 결과, 광역쇼핑시설 출점이 약 3%의 총 소비지출 순증효과를 유발하고 있었다. 현존하는 전체 광역쇼핑시설의 업태별 수도권 기존상권 총 잠식률(매출증감률)은 대형백화점 -1.0%, 복합쇼핑몰 -9.0%, 대형패션아울렛 -4.1%, 창고형 대형마트 -8.2% 등이며 이를 합한 전 업태 총합 기존상권 총 잠식률은 -22.2%로 나타났다. 그리고 전 업태 총합의 기존 쇼핑시설 부문별 잠식률은 대규모유통부문 -53.9%, 중소유통부문 -11.0%, 온라인유통부문 +5.7% 등으로 추정되었다. 중소유통부문은 중복산입 가능성이 없기 때문에 현존 전체 광역쇼핑시설의 수도권 중소유통부문 상권잠식률 -11.0%는 합리적인 추정결과로 판단된다. 특히, 광역쇼핑시설 업태별 기존 중소유통부문 상권 잠식률은 복합쇼핑몰이 4.9%, 창고형 대형마트는 5.7%인 것으로 분석되었다.

동대문 소매상권의 재활성화를 위한 전략연구 (A Study on Revitalization Strategies for DongDaeMoon Fashion Retail Market)

  • DongDaeMoon fashion retail market, or so-called the new western market, has been playing an important role in DongDaeMoon area's success from 1997 to early 2000's. However, the unique and successful fashion merchandising system of DongDeaMoon retail market has been seriously threatened by consumer need changes as well as by an increased competition from new types of retail stores such as discount stores and online shopping malls. Moreover, its performance has been deteriorated due to the increased number of undifferentiated, small and medium-sized retail stores within the area. In this paper, attempts are made in building revitalization strategies for DongDeaMoon fashion retail market on the basis of analyzing fast fashion and consumers. As results, we found that DongDaeMoon fashion retail market needs cooperated area management plan from related market members. This will help DongDaemoon's image change from deal-oriented market to relationship-oriented market with consumers. Through Focus Group interview, we found DongDeaMoon fashion retail market is confronted with insufficient shopping infrastructure and new challenge from global fast fashion brand. Moreover, to overcome this situation, consumers require repaired communication activities by DongDeaMoon fashion market members on consumer relationship management basis. At the end, this paper try to provide strategic implications for DongDeaMoon fashion retailers.

패션상권에 따른 소비자의 의복구매행동 연구 (A Study on Consumer Buying Behavior According to Fashion Trading Area)

  • The Purposes of this study are to analyze fashion trading area's conditions of Busan area to establish fashion marketing strategies for the conditions of location in choosing the new retailers and to propose the most efficient, optimum fashion trading area(FTA) under the management mind of low cost and high efficiency according to the changes of 21C management paradigm. The subjects of investigation for this study were 1083 women visited FTA in Busan. The data were analyzed by using MANOVA, ANOVA, frequency and trend analysis, and the Cronabach $\alpha$ and Turkey HSD were also applied. The results of this study were summarized as follows. 1 The characteristics of consumer spatial behavior according to fashion trading area show significant difference in starling position, movement means, movement time, visit purpose and visit frequency. 2 The buying behavior of fashion items according to fashion trading area shows difference in fashion trading area shows difference in fashion trading area, store and buying behavior.

패션 사업주의 관점에서 본 명동 패션 상권 현황 및 지속성장 발전방안 (The commercial status of Myeongdong fashion and its development strategy for sustainable growth from the perspective of fashion business owners)

  • This study analyzed fashion businesses based on the 6P's, products, prices, place, promotion, people, and patron for business owners in the Myeongdong commercial fashion district. Furthermore, this study proposed plans that would activate the Myeongdong fashion district and continuously develop it as a global fashion city. A survey was conducted from August to September, 2012 for 249 fashion business owners in Myeongdong. Eventually, only 208 questionnaires were used for the analysis. The research results were as follows. First, domestic brands have the largest share in the market and sales of fashion accessories were higher than the sales of clothes. Second, the prices for those fashion items ranged from low to mid-price. Third, the opening of new shops keeps increasing, and the size of the shops falls between ten and twenty pyeong generally. 'Self-production' was the highest form of production compared to any other form, and regarding importation sites, importation from overseas was the highest. Fourth, regarding promotion types, the sales in shops was the most commonly used promotion method compared to television and magazine advertising, and personal selling. Fifth, the proportion of male proprietors was larger than that of female proprietors. Most employees had less than five years of sales experience. Sixth, the main customers were females in their 20s and the proportions of Korean and foreign customers was similar.

서울 주요 패션상권의 가두점 분포 현황 분석: 2007-2014년의 변화추이를 중심으로 (An Analysis of Road Shop in Main Fashion Trade Areas in Seoul: Based on Trends in 2007-2014)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the distribution state of road shops around the 9 main fashion trade areas in Seoul, and to analyze whether there were any differences in them based on clothing, store types and regions. Furthermore, by investigating the distribution state of road shops in the 9 main fashion trade areas per year, this study provides basic information that can be helpful in opening and securing road shops in major trade areas. The method of investigation was to analyze clothing types and store types with 72 maps of commercial areas. Samsungdesignnet investigated these areas for 8 years around the 9 main fashion trade areas (Garosugil, Gangnam nonhyun, Gangnam Station, Myungdong, Moonjung, Apgujung, Yeonsinne, Edae, and Chungdam). As a result, the distribution state of the fashion road shops based on clothing types revealed that road shops for ladies' wear, bag or shoes, and total fashion were strong, and the distribution state of non brand were strong. When it came to year-to-year trends, road shops for women's wear, bag or shoes, and total fashion showed a steady increasing tendency of being on-trend, but casuals and underwear showed a falling tendency of being on-trend. In terms of store type distribution, non-brand shops showed the most remarkable growth, followed by multi-shop while total fashion store showed a steady growth. Also, when it came to regional distribution, the dominant trade areas were different based on clothing type. Garosugil showed the widest variation in its yearly trend investigation, and Gangnam station also showed a substantial amount of growth. In other areas, there was no considerable change in the total number of shops, but increasing and decreasing markets had a complexity that depended on clothing types.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the distributions of fashion market and it's characteristics by investigating the attributes and changes of three representative fashion markets i. e. Chungjang Street Market, Underground Shopping arcades, Department Stores in Kwangju Metropolitan city. This study might contribute to the construction of more attractive fashion markets and also to consumer convenience by providing information about fashion. The method of investigation is by direct market visiting and interview from 2000. 7. 11 until 7. 30. The result is as follows; 1. Chungjang Street: This is the most famous and fashionable area, situated mainly on Chungjang street and Hwangkum-dong. The various kind of designer's boutiques, national brands, wedding shops, multi-shops etc. take place. Teenagers and people in their early twenties are the main customers. This point should be born in mind in a strategy of marketing. 2. Underground Shopping arcades: This market is open to customers of all ages and to the passengers crossing the streets and the purposeful visitors, even in rainy or snow days. However it is hard for novices to find it. 3. Department Stores: There are three department stores which are very competitive with each other by granting not only spacious and comfortable shopping areas but also places for children and cultural activities. The strategy of exhibiting unique items unparalleled in it's quality, might be needed with providing a comfortable parking lot, high quality commodes, appropriate sales program and more effective sales managements.

대학생(大學生)의 캐주얼 의류 구매 상권분석(衣類 購買 商圈分析) - 구매 시기(購買 時期)를 중심(中心)으로 - (Analysis of Trade Area for Casual Wear Purchase of University Students - Focused on Buying Time -)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine differences in university students' spatial behavior and time for purchasing weekdays or weekends according to trading areas they use to purchase casual wears. Theoretical background examined trading areas, in Busan, consumers' spatial behavior. An empirical research developed a questionnaire as a measuring tool to conduct a preliminary survey and a main survey. Data collection was implemented with 507 students from four universities in Busan; and for data analysis, descriptive statistics, cross-tabulation analysis, correspondence analysis, and McNemar test were carried out by using the SPSS for Windows 12.0K program. This study obtained the main results as follows: The characteristics of university students' spatial behavior according to trading areas show significant difference in reasons of trading area selection, time slots for visiting. University students who visited the Seomyeon trading area were found to consider comparison-based purchasing and prominence of the trading area, regardless of the time for purchasing weekdays or weekends. As for trading areas around Busan National University, visits were mainly due to accessibility. Students visited trading areas in Nampo-Gwangbok-dong regardless of the time for purchasing in diverse reasons of trading area selection, time slots. As for trading areas around Kyungsung University, students were visited due to accessibility.
