  • Smart Grid를 위해서 전기의 끊김없는 공급과 안전한 전기사용이 중요하다. Smart Grid에 사용되는 전기IT기기의 성능평가와 인증을 받기 위해서는 모듈 기준값, 모듈 성능값, 제품별 기능, 실험장비, 허용오차 등 실험 DataBase가 발생한다. 전기IT기기는, 기존의 존기기기에 IT와 통신기능을 융합하여 전기의 공급과 안전성을 강화시킨 제품이다. 본 논문에서는 Smart Grid DataBase 개발을 위한 전기IT기기들을 안전하게 관리하고, IT와 통신을 통한 인터넷 웹브라우저에서 접속할 수 있는 Java Servlet 기술을 이용한, 전기IT기기에 대한 평가기관 및 인증기관이 실시간으로 평가와 인증 자료를 관리 할 수 있도록 한다.

  • Recently there has been much effort, in both academia and industry, to integrate a plethora of wireless technologies in order to provide seamless connection to mobile users. To support seamless connection on terminal needs fast handover function and location management function. Especially, Performing fast handover has to interact with function of datalink layer and mobility based IP. In this paper, we propose a handover decision mechanism using MIH( Media Independent Handover) in hybrid networks to reduce the delay of transmission for data.

  • 본 논문은 차세대네트워크에서 끊김없는 서비스를 위해 MPLS LSP 를 이용하는 새로운 이동성 관리 방안을 제안한다. 제안방안은 LSP 를 통한 L2.5 스위칭 방법을 이용하여 시그널링 메시지를 전송함으로써 시그널링 지연을 감소시킨다. 제안방안에 의한 성능 향상을 검증하기 위해 수식을 이용하여 기존방안들과 제안방안에 대한 핸드오버 지연, 패킷손실률, 위치 업데이트 비용 그리고 전체 비용(overall cost)을 분석하였다. 그 결과 제안방안에서의 지연 및 비용이 기존방안들 보다 더 낮음을 확인하였다.

The Study on Antenna Performancet Test for Surion Radio Installation and Optimal Positioning (수리온 통신 안테나 장착 및 최적위치 선정을 위한 안테나 성능시험에 관한 연구)

  • Surion is required to install radios (U/VHF-AM, VHF-FM) capable of omni-directional communication. Therefore, this paper demonstrates the antenna performance test for the installation of the Surion communication antenna and the selection of optimal location. A simulation pattern analysis was performed employing the antenna, and a coupling test was performed by creating a new evaluation criterion. In addition, the results of the pattern flight test conducted at the previously suggested 1:20 turn and separation distance ratio were observed to be normal. However, the occurrence of voice cutoff was noted in the long-distance flight test. Therefore, in this paper, 1:300 (15 NM) is proposed as a new optimal ratio for predicting the long-distance flight test results in advance. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed evaluation criteria was verified through long-distance flight tests. Consequently, it is expected to reduce the development schedule and cost by reducing the trial and error of the performance test for the Surion model. Also, the results of this study are expected to be used as standards for the installation of communication antenna and quality tests for other helicopters.

Design and Implementation of a Multi-Interface Mobile Gateway for Seamless Handoff Sciences (끊김 없는 핸드오프를 위한 다중 인터페이스 이동형 게이트웨이 설계 및 구현)

  • Mobile Gateway(MG) is a wireless LAN device to provide internet services to a passenger on vehicles like a bus. For using internet services, MG connects the Road Side Unit AP(RSU AP) based on WLAN .To provide a stable communication service on the moving vehicle, handoff changing MG's RSU must be handled fast and stably. However, it has a physical limits to remove a disconnection time of handoff process by reason of its technological features. In this paper, we suggest a MIMG(Multi-Interface Mobile Gateway) executing seamless handoff by using multiple wireless LAN interfaces for connecting RSU. In the detailed way to do stable handoff, we suggest the "Link Sharing Technique" to disconnection time of packet transmission for RSU to MIMG and the "Path Sharing Technique" to remove disconnection time of packet transmission for MIMG to RSU. we implemented the MIMG which performs the suggested handoff technique. We confirmed the superiority of our system by remove of the disconnection time(0 ms), and improved over 50 % of the communication bandwidth.

  • Communication environment has rapidly evolved into All-IP based core network, which is centered on a variety of access network, and develops into ubiquitous environment for each user due to the development of multiple interface terminals and the spread of contents usage. Especially, mobile streaming technologies and integrated authentication technologies are needed for mobile users to provide seamless mobility. The technology for seamless mobility services is an important issue. In this paper, the IEEE 802.21 MIH information server is based on the network offering handover technology between heterogeneous network.

NoCOM: Near-Optimal Cell Outage Management for Guaranteeing User QoS (사용자 서비스 품질 보장을 위한 근접-최적 셀 아웃티지 관리 기법)

  • To manage cell outage problem in indoor wireless communication systems, we should resolve the problem of abrupt network failure quickly. In this paper, we propose a near-optimal cell outage management (NoCOM) scheme to support seamless services to users. In consideration of system throughput, user fairness, and the guarantee of QoS simultaneously, the NoCOM scheme finds the solution of subchannel and power allocations using a non-convex optimization technique and allocates radio resources to users iteratively. Through intensive simulations, we verify the outstanding performances of the proposed NoCOM scheme with respect to the average cell capacity, user fairness, and computational complexity.

  • 컴퓨터통신의 중요성이 부각되고 있는 가운데 이동 컴퓨팅 환경에서 데이터를 전송함에 있어서 손실 없이 할 수 있도록 해야한다. 외부 에이전트가 이동 노드로 전송하는 데이터를 이동 노드의 이동성에 의해 이동 노드로 전달되지 못하는 경우가 발생한다면 실시간 데이터는 연속적으로 데이터를 받지 못하여 끊김 현상이 발생하게 된다. 이동 노드는 이동한 새로운 외부 에이전트에 등록을 하고 인터넷 호스트로부터 데이터를 받을 수 있는 환경이 구축되기 전까지 데이터통신이 불가능하다. 그러므로 기존의 기법으로는 실시간 데이터 통신을 할 경우 이동 노드의 이동성을 지원할 수는 있지만 효과적이지는 않다. 이에 대한 해결책으로 외부 에이전트가 유선망과 무선망을 연계하고 이동 노드가 이동하며 실시간 데이터 통신을 하는 경우, 외부 에이전트는 홈에이전트와 인터넷 호스트에게 이동하게 될 외부에이전트의 정보를 보내서 홈에이전트는 이동노드에 대한 정보만을 갱신하여 효과적으로 성능을 개선할 수 있고, 인터넷 호스트는 바로 이동할 에이전트에게 데이터를 보내어 빠르고 연속적인 데이터를 보낼 수 있도록 하는 기법을 제안한다.

ARM: Adaptive Resource Management for Wireless Network Reliability (무선 네트워크의 신뢰성 보장을 위한 적응적 자원 관리 기법)

  • To provide network reliability in indoor wireless communication systems, we should resolve the problem of unexpected network failure rapidly. In this paper, we propose an adaptive resource management (ARM) scheme to support seamless connectivity to users. In consideration of system throughput and user fairness simultaneously, the ARM scheme adaptively determines the set of healing channels, and performs scheduling and power allocation iteratively based on a constrained non-convex optimization technique. Through intensive simulations, we demonstrate the superior performance results of the proposed ARM scheme in terms of the average cell capacity and user fairness.

Experiments of Free-Space Optical Communication for Optical Ground Station (광통신 지상국 구축을 위한 자유공간 광통신 실험)

  • As the limitations of conventional radio communications between satellites and the ground become apparent, various experiments are being conducted around the world to overcome them with space laser communication. In this study, we address the development of our own optical communications terminal (OCT) and optical ground station (OGS) and the experiments of free-space optical communication (FSOC) using them. Using a 30 mm-diameter OCT and a 250 mm-diameter portable OGS telescope, as well as commercial 10 Gbps SFP+ modules and media converters, we successfully transmitted and received 4K high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) signals through 1,550 nm optical laser beam. The transmission and reception distances of the experiment were 3, 9, and 20 km, respectively, and the received signal strength at each distance was +6.1, -2.8, and -10.9 dBm, respectively. It was demonstrated that the 4K HDMI video lasted for over 10 minutes.
