In this study, we focus on the classifying and representing data in the elementary mathematics curriculum for 1st and 2nd grades which have been rarely addressed in the previous studies. We analyze the significance of classifying and representing sata in terms of statistical problem solving and variability as the core of statistical literacy. As a result, the classifying and representing data are important for students to recognize the variability which is ubiquitous in the data and to construct distribution of data, respectively. They are reflected in the 2015 revised mathematics curriculum as the statistical literacy for addressing data. We suggest some implications to teach the classifying and representing data as the practice of statistical literacy education in their statistics classes for 1st and 2nd grades.

Present situation for statistics departments is in crisis in the view point of decreasing numbers of departments and difficulty in receiving good quality highschool graduate students. In this paper; we study the various ways of developing statistics department. Especially after the foreign exchange crisis in 1997, the preference for the teaching jobs in highschool is increasing drastically, the installment of teacher-training course is regraded as one of several crucial ways to get good highschool graduates and to complete with other majors at the same time.

본 연구의 목적은 청소년기업가지수를 활용하여 청소년기업가정신교육이 청소년에게 어떠한 영역에서 효과가 있는지 JA Korea-삼성 청소년기업가정신교육을 중심으로 검증해 보는 데 있다. JA Korea-삼성 청소년기업가정신교육 프로그램에 참여한 고등학생 124명을 대상으로 청소년기업가정신지수의 3개 영역(인지, 사회, 정의), 9개 하위요소(혁신성, 적극적 문제해결, 대인관계, 리더십, 공감, 위험감수성, 진취성, 자기효능감, 모호함에 대한 인내)를 교육 사전-사후로 나누어 대응분석을 실시하였다. 주요 분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, JA Korea-삼성 청소년기업가정신교육에 참가한 고등학생의 청소년기업가정신지수를 사전-사후 대응분석을 실시한 결과 통계적으로 유의미하게 상승하였다. 둘째, 청소년기업가정신지수를 구성하는 인지, 사회, 정의영역 중인지영역과 정의영역에서 유의미하게 상승하였다. 마지막으로 9개 하위요소에 대해 분석한 결과 대인관계 및 위험감수성 요소를 제외하고 7개 하위요소에서 통계적으로 유의미하게 높아졌다. 본 연구는 청소년기업가정신지수를 활용하여 교육의 효과성을 검증하고 청소년기업가정신교육의 바람직한 방향성을 수립하는데 필요한 객관적인 자료로 활용 가능할 것으로 기대된다.

Followed by government authorized data that Ministry of Education submitted, safety accident at school has been increased year by year. Safety accident occurred 33,834 in 2005, 29,955 in 2004, and 22,722 in 2003. It shows that it has been increased about 12.9% from 2004 and 48.9% in 2003. Level of student's development, students are at the point of not having enough judgement and ability to adapt at emergency situation. They are learned about safety by education and management by teachers but teachers will get heavy burden and anxiety if government doesn't provide more improved support and restraint. On this situation, educational authority can be attacked and it legally charged by nation, owned property can be loss or prosecution can be occurred. Also school safety accident which occurs in these days is working as an negative insecurity element that teachers cannot concentrate on the education.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the teaching of statistical graphs according to elementary mathematics curriculum. To do this, we set up three research questions as follows. First, what is the change in achievement standards related to the teaching of statistical graphs in elementary mathematics curriculum? Second, what is the change in the teaching of the drawing of statistical graphs in elementary mathematics curriculum? Third, what is the change in the teaching of understanding of statistical graphs in elementary mathematics curriculum? For the first research question, we analyzed the achievement standards related to the teaching of the statistics of the 2015 revised curriculum from the first curriculum. For the second research question, we analyzed how to provide students with the opportunity to draw graphs(number of drawings) and whether to present the basic frame of the graphs(frame provided). For the third research question, we analyzed questions in the textbooks based on the graph understanding; 'reading data', 'finding the relation between data', 'interpreting data', 'understanding the situation'. As a result of the analysis, the achievement standard in the curriculum has changed in the direction of fostering statistical thinking, and it has been changed to emphasize the interpretation of the graph so as to make the graph drawing easy. However, 'interpreting data' and 'understanding the situation' were still lacking.

The purpose of this study was to find the contribution of Dado education to personality development among female high school students in Korea. The personality development was measured with the change in emotional stability. consideration. politeness. and temperance before and after a series of Dado education program to 16 female high school students for ten times (20 hours). A significant improvement in the students personality was found. Students perceived their positive internal and external changes through this program and their mothers were favorable to the personality development of their children after the Dado education. This study implies that Dado education can be a valuable means for personality development in youth. A suggestion was made for teachers and curriculum developers to apply Dado education into school curriculum and extracurricular activities.

This study investigates the causal relationships among flow experience, self-directed learning readiness, internet addiction and academic achievement in web-based computer education. The gender differences in path models were also examined. The results indicated that, self-directed learning readiness has positive and direct influence on flow experience and academic achievement. And self-directed learning readiness has a negative and direct influence on internet addiction. For female students, academic achievement was positively and directly influenced by flow experience and indirectly by self-directed learning readiness. However, the mediating effect of flow experience and indirect effect of self-directed learning readiness were not significant for male students.

As an effort to reform legal system of Korea, the law school system is introduced in March 2009. Thus the law culture of Korea is expected to change drastically for diversification, specialization and globalization. With such social trend as background, the author writes on the pre-law and law school courses "Law and Statistics" which were offered at Korea University. Also, he reviews two legal cases and summarizes two research results: DNA database controversies and a sentence standardization model.

The korean mathematics textbooks according to the 2007 revised mathematics curriculum and the MiC textbooks are similar in that they introduce mathematical materials in real life situations and are composed in such a way that require students to form their own mathematical concepts. However the MiC textbooks are focus more on situation-centered problems and context-centered problems where a set of procedures need to be followed in order to arrive at an answer. So, this paper is aim at comparing the units of statistics in the korean mathematics textbooks and the MiC textbooks in order to find the implications for writing textbook. By comparing the specific content and the used methods, I found Korean textbooks focused on understanding concepts and spending less time surveying and collecting data. On the other hand, MiC textbooks used activities that real mathematicians would be involved with, such as surveying and analyzing data to compose mathematical concepts.

데이터 분석도구 R은 대용량 데이터의 고급 분석과 통계 계산을 위한 스크립트 언어로 데이터의 자료 분석에 다양하게 활용되고 있다. 최근 평균수명의 연장과 더불어 새로운 직업들의 등장으로 인하여 사회 구성원들의 전직이나 이직에 대비하기 위한 다양한 직업교육 요구가 제시되고 있다. 또한 사회 구성원들의 교육수준이 전반적으로 높아짐에 따라 직업교육에 대한 요구 역시 보다 세분화되고 있으며 보다 높은 수준의 학습기회에 대한 요구도 증대되고 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 직업능력 교육의 기능과 역할을 재정립하고 직업능력 교육의 개발 방향을 제시하기 위하여 지역사회의 수요조사를 기반으로 데이터 분석도구 R을 활용하여 선호도 분석을 실시하였다.
