A Study on the Implementation of Indoor Topology Using Image Data (영상 데이터를 활용한 실내 토폴로지 구현에 관한 연구)

  • As the need of indoor spatial information has grown, many applications have been developed. Nevertheless, the major representations of indoor spatial information are on the 2D or 3D, recently, the service based on omni-directional image has increased. Current service based on omni-directional image is used just for viewer. To provide various applications which can serve the identifying the attribute of indoor space, query based services and so on, topological data which can define the spatial relationships between spaces is required. For developing diverse applications based on omni-directional image, this study proposes the method to generate IndoorGML data which is the international standard of indoor topological data model. The proposed method is consist of 3 step to generate IndoorGML data; 1) Analysis the core elements to adopt IndoorGML concept to image, 2) Propose the method to identify the element of ‘Space’ which is the core element of IndoorGML concept, 3) Define the connectivity of indoor spaces. The proposed method is implemented at the 6-floor of 21centurybuilding of the University of Seoul to generate IndoorGML data and the demo service is implemented based on the generated data. This study has the significance to propose a method to generate the indoor topological data for the indoor spatial information services based on the IndoorGML.

Flying Bridge Bus Architecture (플라잉 브릿지 버스 아키텍처)

  • Several shared buses are divided hierarchically and connected with a bridge in the bus topology that consists of many components such as SoCs. Because the bridge topology is capable of the simultaneous communication of components in the several buses, the bus performance has improved definitely. However, when the inter-bus data transaction happens, the latency increases seriously in the bridge block. In this paper, a variety of bridge architectures are analyzed in the point of view of merit and demerit. Superior frying bridge topology is proposed in the aspects of performance, IP reusability, timing margin, gate count and circuit complexity. In contrast with the conventional bridge that has only a role to switch the inter-bus data, the frying bridge can communicate directly between the bus and the slave, which decreases the traffic overhead of a shared bus and improves the performance of a bridge communication.

  • This paper proposes the ethernet-based in-vehicle networking method for "body" and "multimedia" domains. The ethernet-based in-vehicle networking method should modify the topology and the layer 2 for traffic shaping. In this paper, we simulate the two ring networking systems, the Media Oriented Systems Transport (MOST) and the proposed system with the shaping by the network simulator 2 and evaluate each performance. In addition, we demonstrate the proposed networking system to exchange two kinds of traffic, i.e., QoS data and best-effort data, on the ring network constituting of three nodes. Finally this paper expects to substitute the ethernet-based in-vehicle network for the MOST in advance.

  • Recently, SDN technology is applied to real communication business, users are getting bigger, and as the amount of data flowing in the network increases, interest in network data flow management is increasing. During this process, it must be ensured that the confidentiality, integrity, availability, and traceability of the data on the network being transmitted. In addition, it is necessary to develop an environment for observing the flow of data in real time on a network required in various fields and visually confirming the control. In this paper, first, Mininet is applied to construct a network topology and various environment attributes. Second, we added OpenDayLight in Mininet environment to develop a simulation environment to visually check and control network traffic flow in network topology.

  • In this paper, the performance of switched ethernet networks with different topologies as an industrial control networks is analyzed. The switched ethernet eliminated data collisions on the network and can be used to transmit real-time data. While the amount of data on the network is small compared to the computer networks, the industrial control networks require the real-time data delivery. In this paper, we analyze and compare the network performance of switched ethernet networks with linear and tree topologies whether they satisfy the real-time data delivery requirement needed to be used as the industrial control networks.

  • Research on developing algorithms for building modeling such as extracting outlines of the buildings and segmenting patches of the roofs using aerial images or LiDAR data are active. However, utilizing information from the building model is not well implemented yet. This study aims to propose a scheme for search identical or similar shape of buildings by utilizing graph topology pattern matching under the assumptions: (1) Buildings were modeled beforehand using imagery or LiDAR data, or (2) 3D building data from digital maps are available. Side walls, segmented roofs and footprints were represented as nodes, and relationships among the nodes were defined using graph topology. Topology graph database was generated and pattern matching was performed with buildings of various shapes. The results show that efficiency of the proposed method in terms of reliability of matching and database structure. In addition, flexibility in the search was achieved by altering conditions for the pattern matching. Furthermore, topology graph representation could be used as scale and rotation invariant shape descriptor.

LECSEN : Link Exchanged Chain in SEnsor Networks (링크 교환을 이용한 무선 센서 네트워크용 체인 토폴로지 : LECSEN)

  • In WSN(Wireless Sensor Network) many routing algorithms such as LEACH, PEGASIS and PEDEP consisting of sensor nodes with limited energy have been proposed to extend WSN lifetime. Under the assumption of perfect fusion, these algorithms used convergecast that periodically collects sensed data from all sensor nodes to a base station. But because these schemes studied less energy consumption for a convergecast as well as fairly energy consumption altogether, the minimum energy consumption for a convergecast was not focused enough nor how topology influences to energy consumption. This paper deals with routing topology and energy consumption for a single convergecast in the following ways. We chose major WSN topology as MSC(Minimum Spanning Chain)s, MSTs, PEGASIS chains and proposed LECSEN chains. We solved the MSC length by Linear Programming(LP) and propose the LECSEN chain to compete with MST and MSC. As a result of simulation by Monte Carlo method for calculation of the topology length and standard deviation of link length, we learned that LECSEN is competitive with MST in terms of total energy consumption and shows the best with the view of even energy consumption at the sensor nodes. Thus, we concluded LECSEN is a very useful routing topology in WSN.

3D Scan Model Fitting by Using Statistics (통계를 이용한 3차원 스캔모델 맞춤 방법)

  • 3차원 인체 스캐너로부터 얻어진 인체형상데이터는 여러 인체에 대한 3차원 평균 모델을 만들어 내는 등의 통계적 분석이나 자세 변경을 위해 필요한 내부 골격 구조와 골격과 피부조직 사이의 관계 등을 계산해 내기 어렵다. 또, 이러한 통계적 분석을 위해서는 각 모델 간의 상응 관계가 확립되어야 하지만 스캐너로부터 얻어진 인체 형상 데이터들은 측정 환경이나 대상에 따라 각각이 서로 상이한 기하학적 구조로 이루어져 있다. 본 논문에서는 템플릿 모델을 3차원 인체데이터에 맞도록 변형함으로써 다수의 인체 형상에 대하여 토폴로지를 일치시키도록 한다. 3차원 인체 데이터에 대해 템플릿 모델이 가장 근사한 형상이 되도록 하는 변형을 자동으로 찾아내기 위해서 표면 위에 정의된 특징점들을 사용한다. 또한, 기존에 찾아둔 특징점군 및 변형정보 데이터가 충분히 많다면 새로운 변형을 계산하는 데 유용하게 사용될 수 있음을 보인다. 이렇게 상응 관계가 확립된 모델들은 삼차원 벡터 공간의 점들의 집합으로 표현 및 통계적 분석이 가능하게 된다.

  • 스마트 그리드는 에너지 이용 효율 최적화를 위한 개선방안으로 전기에너지를 발생하는 발전원별 분석하며, 전력 사용 측면에서 전력망을 통해 공급된 전력의 소비패턴으로 분석을 통해 에너지 이용 효율을 최적화할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 아파치 Storm을 활용하여 실시간 데이터 수집 및 처리 시스템을 설계한다. 설계된 시스템은 에너지 효율성을 위해 이종의 실시간 대용량 스트리밍 센서 데이터를 수집하여 분석을 수행하도록 데이터 필터링과 변환 기법을 제시한다. 이를 위해 실시간 대용량 처리를 위해 필터링 및 변환을 병렬 처리하도록 한다. 필터링과 변환 처리는 독립적인 타스크로 구성하도록 하며, 전체 프로세스는 정의된 파이프-필터 토폴로지를 구성하여 처리한다.

  • 최근 노트북 컴퓨터나 PDA(Personal Digital Assistants)와 칼은 개인 휴대용 통신장비의 사용이 급속도로 증가하고 있다. 매우 동적인 상황에서 이러한 장비들간의 통신은 우선 Ad-Hoc망의 발전을 초래하였다. Mobile Ad Hoc Network(MANET)은 전통적인 유선 환경과는 달리 무선 송·수신 장치를 가진 무선 이동노드의 집합이며, 동적인 토폴로지, 한정된 대역폭의 가변적인 링크용량, 한정된 에너지라는 특성을 갖는다. 본 논문에서는 Ad-Hoc 라우팅 프로토콜 중 Temporally-Ordered Routing Algorithm(Tora)상에서 데이터 트래픽의 성능을 분석하였다. 인터넷 데이터 트래픽 소스로는 CBR(Constant Bit Rate)를 사용하였고, 모의실험 결과 망의 이동성은 라우팅 프로토콜의 트래픽 성능을 분석하는 데 있어서 중요한 요소가 된다는 것을 알 수 있었다.
