  • 결속성은 텍스트의 의미 관계 분석에서 주요하게 고려되는 요인 중 하나이다. 결속성이 높을 수록 텍스트 내 언어적 의미 관계가 긴밀한 것으로 볼 수 있기 때문이다. 사람에 의한 텍스트 결속성 분석은 주관이 개입되는 문제를 배제할 수 없는데, 영어에는 TAACO라고 불리는 결속성 자동 측정 도구가 있어 다양한 지표들로 텍스트의 결속성을 측정하고 있다. 그러나 한국어에는 이와 같은 텍스트 결속성 자동 측정 도구가 거의 없으며, 관련 연구도 상당히 부족한 실정이다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 한국어 텍스트의 의미 관계 분석을 위한 결속성 지표를 정의하고, 한국어의 특성에 맞는 결속성 측정 도구인 KorCAT을 제안한다.

The Selective Effect of Cohesive Devices on Scientific Text Reading and Comprehension (과학텍스트의 읽기 및 이해에 대한 결속장치의 선택적 영향)

  • 본 연구는 결속장치(cohesive devices)가 과학텍스트의 읽기 속도와 내용 이해에 끼치는 영향에 대해 연구하였다. 연구의 목적을 위한 실험을 통해서 먼저, 텍스트의 문단별 읽기 시간을 측정하여 온라인 처리 과정을 검토하였고, 둘째, 회상과 재인 검사를 실시하여 오프라인 상태에서의 이해도를 조사하였다. 이 연구의 재료로 사용된 텍스트는 번개 생성과정에 대한 과학텍스트로서, 반복, 지시사, 정박(anchoring), 인과적 접속사 등의 결속장치를 이용하여 응집성(coherence)의 강도를 높고, 낮게 조작하였다. 실험 결과, 결속장치가 길속장치의 종류와 지엽적 응집성의 강도에 따라 과학텍스트 읽기와 이해에 선택적으로 영향을 끼친다는 것을 발견하였다. 첫째, 인과적 접속사는 읽기 시간에는 영향을 주지 않는 반면, 이해를 촉진했는데, 이 긍정적 효과는 과제의 종류에 따라 다르게 나타났다. 즉, 회상 검사 결과에서는 인과적 접속사가 쓰인 모든 문단에서 유의한 차이가 나타났으나, 재인 검사에서는 유의한 차이가 부분적으로만 나타났다. 둘째, 반복 결속장치는 다른 결속장치와 같이 발생할 경우에만 읽기 시간과 이해를 부분적으로 촉진하는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째. 정박 결속장치의 영향은 읽기와 이해 두 처리 과정에 모두 선택적으로 영향을 준 것으로 나타났다. 인과적 접속사와 함께 쓰인 문단의 경우에는 회상 검사에서만, 반복 결속장치가 함께 쓰인 문단에서는 회상, 재인 검사에서 모두 긍정적 영향을 준 것으로 관찰되었다.

  • 언어가 아닌 다양한 지식원으로부터 그것을 설명하는 텍스트를 생성하는 텍스트 생성 (text generation)은 여러 가지 복합적이고 단계적인 과정을 거쳐 이루어진다. 자연스러운 텍스트를 생성하기 위한 여러 단계 중, 지식원으로부터 텍스트에 포함되기 위해 뽑힌 정보들간의 순서를 적절히 결정하는 과정을 텍스트 구조화(text structuring)라고 한다. 텍스트 구조화는 생성될 텍스트의 결속성(coherence)을 크게 좌우하므로, 양질의 텍스트를 생성하기 위해서는 텍스트 구조화를 다루기 위한 정교한 방법론이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 SA(simulated annealing) 알고리즘을 이용해 추계적 텍스트 구조화 방안을 제안하며 특히, SA의 평가 함수(evaluation function)로서, 총 4가지의 방법론-중심화 이론(centering theory)을 이용한 센터 전이 유형의 선호도, 추론 비용에 근거한 전이 유형간의 선호도, 서두 문장을 결정하기 위한 가중치 할당에 따른 선호도, 인접한 문장간의 유사도에 따른 선호도-을 제안하고 실험을 통해, 그 효용성을 보였다.

A Study on the Meaning and Coherence of Sosangpalkyung as a Text of Traditional Scenery (소상팔경(瀟湘八景), 전통경관 텍스트로서의 의미와 결속구조)

  • Sosang Pal-Kyung(瀟湘八景), which originated in China and means eight scenes of So River and Sang River, greatly influenced the poems and the pictures in East Asia for a long time and became a cultural phenomenon leading the stereotype of the traditional landscapes in Korea and Japan. Studies on 'Kyung(a scene)' such as 'Pal-Kyung(八景)', have been made continuously until now, but there are no results of a study intensively focusing on the meaning and the form of Sosang Pal-Kyung, which is the origin of the domestic Pal-Kyung culture. The goal of this study is to investigate the typical form observed in Sosang Pal-Kyung-Ga(瀟湘八景歌) and Sosang Pal-Kyung-Do(瀟湘八景圖), as a text of a cultural landscape, and to clear up the coherence structure between a recognition system and a way of thinking that existed in the cultural phenomenon of Sosang Pal-Kyung. In this study, the symbolism of Pal(八) was summarized and the surface structure and the correlation of each Kyung of Sosang Pal-Kyung was explained in light of semiotics through segmenting and disjointing the lexeme of a landscape while the coherence structure and the meaning of Sosang Pal-Kyung-Ga and Sosang Pal-Kyung-Do as a text were investigated. Sosang Pal-Kyung is based on the view of the Sun and the Moon(or Positive and Negative) and the Eight Trigrams(八卦) for divination and is a linguistic symbol in which human life and the principle of circulation and conversion of nature are expressed as characters and picture texts. Its structure has strong coherence and cohesion, which attempt to move the abstruse truth of nature into human consciousness by developing and corresponding the grammatical structure and form of the sentences and the implicative languages emphasizing the symbolism of the words to the characteristics of similarities and contrast. In addition, Sosang Pal-Kyung expresses human life, the processes of birth and death of nature and the mutual response dialectically by putting various factors of the landscape in the frame of regular formality and structure. It is considered that the image signs in Sosang Pal-Kyung emphasize the theory of circulation of human life and nature are narrative scenery, which one looks at with a contemplative view in the circulation system of the time and the season. The cultural phenomena of Sosang Pal-Kyung in the Joseon Dynasty, which had been handed down from the Goryeo Dynasty, had become the driving force of leading aesthetics of Joseon's art and literature by adding the scenery of the point of view of Sung Confucianism. Its coherence structure was changed, but its cohesion was handed down continuously so that it became not only the basic text of the traditional and cultural landscape but also, the typical Korean-style stereotype of a landscape.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 한국 현대시 텍스트가 독자에게 전달하는 시적 효과를 담화 텍스트 언어학 및 인지적 화용론의 관점에서 분석하는 것이다. 담화 텍스트 언어학은 텍스트의 언어 자료 자체보다는 이를 생산하고 수용하는 인지 과정에 주목하는 인지과학의 한 분야이며, 적합성 원리로 되는 인지적 화용론은 텍스트 언어학에서 규명하는 바 여러 인지적 조작 절차들의 심리학적 근거가 된다. 많은 인지적 책략 및 조작 절차들이 집약되어 있는 한국 현대시 텍스트를 인지 화용론적 관점에서 분석한 결과, 이제까지 모호하게 개진되어 오던 많은 시적 효과가 텍스트 언어학 및 인지적 화용론의 분석 장치들에 의해서 명쾌하게 설명될 수 있음이 밝혀졌다. 즉, 정보성의 격상 및 격하, 각별한 결속구조의 사용 및 그 수용 과정, 작가의 상황점검과 상황관리 과정에 의한 전국적 인지 패턴의 활성화 및 수정 등의 인지적 절차를 통해서 독자의 맥락이 수정, 확장되는 효과가 일어나고 바로 이것이 궁극적으로는 시적 효과를 낳는다는 점을 설명할 수 있다.

Exploring class criticism in multicultural mentoring activities using textuality (텍스트성을 활용한 다문화 멘토링 활동에서의 수업비평 탐색)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore the direction of multicultural mentoring class activities in order to promote the professional growth and critical reflection of student mentors who are undergraduate students from a variety of major. For this purpose, the contents and phenomena of the multicultural mentoring of the mentor - mentee were reported as activity texts, and then seven directions of textuality were applied to explore the direction of multicultural mentoring class activities. As a result, coherence refers to the relationship between the mentor and the mentee for continuing the activities of multicultural mentoring, and cohesiveness refers to the relationship between the mentor and the mentee. It was called the achievement of identity. Intention means that the mentor has an intention or goal for the class before the mentoring activity, and tolerance means that the text produced by the mentor in the multicultural mentoring process is accepted by the mentee. Intentional means that the mentor has intention or goal for the class before the mentoring class activity, and tolerance means having the text as the class activity text when the mentor's text is accepted by the multicultural mentoring class activity process. In the case of informativeness, the information produced by the mentor is less informative when the mentee is predictable and less informative when the predictor is low. In the case of contextuality, contextuality of class activities can be changed according to the physical text situation and the mentee situation in class activity. In case of multicultural mentoring class activity, except for case where mentor creates new class activity text, it is related to the production of class activity texts through mentor learning experiences, peer friends' advice, and education.

Visual Information for Inducing Interactivity and Presence (유도된 상호작용성을 통한 가상환경에서의 현실감 제고)

  • 가상환경에서의 실재감을 증대시키는 방법 중에 하나는 상호작용을 이용하는 방법이다. 즉, 사용자가 가상환경에 변화를 줄 수 있게 하여, 사용자와 가상환경 사이의 결속감을 통해, 사용자가 가상환경 속에 있는 듯한 느낌을 주는 것이다. 그러나, Architectural Walkthrough 혹은 Navigation 시스템은 기능적으로 가상객체와에 affordance 와 그 밖의 interactivity cue를 적용하여 사용자로 하여금 시각적으로만 상호작용감을 유발하게 하여, 사용자의 실재감을 높이기 위한 방법에 대한 것이다. 두 개의 가상환경에 대하여 아무런 visual cue가 없는 경우, 텍스트를 이용한 직접 표현 방법, 객체가 simulation 된 trace 그리고 affordance cue 등 총 4가지 방법들, 즉 총 8가지 실험 조합에서 사용자가 느끼는 상호작용성과 실재감을 측정하였는데 interactivity유도를 위한 간접적인 visual cue가 쓰였을 경우 통계적으로 유의하게 상호작용성 및 실재감이 증대하는 결과를 보여주었다. 이는 적은 모델링만의 노력으로, 실제 인터액션에 대한 구현 없이 가상환경에서 어느 정도의 실재감을 높일 수 있는 방법을 제시하고 있다.

A Cognitive Pragmatic Approach to Contextual Effects In Modern Korean Poetry (한국 현대시 텍스트의 맥락 효과에 관한 인지 화용론적 연구)

  • In this thesis we attempt to analyze modern Korean poetic texts in the franmeworks of text limgisitics and cognitive pragmatics. Both frameworks describe and explai human verbal communicantion in terms of congnitive information-processing procedures.By utilizing analytical devices provided by seven standards of textuality we can analyze any type of text,especially in terms of the cognitive operations underlying the production and reception processes.It is clamed in cognitive pragmatic framework that human ostensive inforential communication is regulated by the Principle of Relevance.We claim that the relevance-based framework of pragmatics provides evidence and rationale for those cognitive operations identified in the text linguistic framework. poetic texts involve every kind of cognitive strategies and processing procedures underlying human verbal communication.So,if modern Korean poetic texts are satisfactorily analyzed by text linguistics and cognitive pragmatics,it means that both frameworks are very useful tools for analyzing texts and that all the other text types which are less complicated than poetic text will also be analyzed by these frameworks. Researchers of poetry,and poets,are sensitive to poetic effects.They feel more of poeticity while reading poetic texts than ordinary readers do.However,these researchers or poets sometimes give different interpretation of a single poetic text.The interpretation of poetry cannot be anything,because poets write poems with particular intertions and do not just throw them out so as to be interpreted at ramdom.This thesis suggersts that the poeticity felt by the reader can be described and accounted for in a scientific way.In other words,text linguistics and cognitive pragmatics enable the researchers of poetry to become objective in interpreting poetic texts. It will be clearly shown that we have to see poetic texts from a cognitive perspective,since they are by-products of cognitive processing performed by discourse participants.

A Study on the Textuality of China's Wuyi-Gugok, the Origin of Gugok-Wonlim -Focus on the Tradition Process to Korea - (구곡원림의 원류, 중국 무이구곡(武夷九曲)의 텍스트성 -국내 전승(傳承) 과정을 중심으로 -)

  • This paper attempts to investigate how the cultural phenomena associated with 'Wuyi-Doga(武夷棹歌)' and 'Wuyi-Gugok (武夷九曲)' was introduced to Joseon. The icon and code of 'Gugok' cultural text which was observed in the process of transmitting the culture through repetition and imitation were examined. With regard to research methodology, an 'analysis and discussion framework' was designed based on the literature review, field survey and the seven textuality criteria proposed by Dressier. Then the textuality of 'Wuyi-Gugok' was analyzed in terms of the dependent relation of text, the relationship between the creator and user, repetition, imitation and the spread process. Since ZhouHee(朱熙)'s 'Wuyi-Doga' and 'Wuyi-Gugok' were introduced to Joseon through literature and paintings, they became a part of the cultural Phenomena with unprecedented popularity. As a result, a great number of imitations can be found. In addition, governors would even take care of political affairs in a scenic mountain valley as described in this literature. Regardless of the writer's intentiot 'Gugok' settled in Joseon as new culture in harmony with Taoism and Sung COnfucianism. In other words, Joseon's Gugok-Wonlim(九曲園林) accepted the nature-appreciation aesthetic consciousness in 'Wuyi-Doga' and 'Wuyi-Gugok' on the basis of Taoism and Sung Confucianism. In terms of the text-based dependent relation only, however, the geographical coherence was somewhat loosened while the Gugok Culture that was dependent on Taoism or elegance in life dominated the internal structure of the textuality. Meantime, the internal factors that dominated the textuality of 'Wdyi-Gugok' were interpreted as 1) 'Aesthetics of Bending, Water Whirls', 2) 'Territoriality Expression Carve letters,' 3) 'Cultural Landscape seeing through the Speculation of Meaning,' 4) 'The Pursuit of Oddness and Presentationism' and 5) 'Transcendental Landscape of Taoism and Topos.'

A study on the Form of Sijo seen from Various Aspects (다각적 관점에서 본 시조 형식 연구)

  • The conclusion of this paper is as follows. First, the authentic syllable count of sijo can be summed up as following: Second, the structure of the statement can be summed up as following: 1) Each statement extremely excludes the use of modifiers to clarify the development of the logic. 2) The meaning of each of the three statement, chojang (the 1st statement), jungjang (the middle statement) and jongjang (the last statement), is connected to the previous one closely, so the text as a whole is perfect. 3) The last statement identifies itself as the conversion or conclusion of the whole text. Therefore, the last statement should begin with a connective adverb like 'Therefore' or 'Then'. But in ancient sijo works, this sort of connected adverb is normally omitted. 4) Each statement of sijo is composed of one of the 4 structures suggested below: a) subjective phrase + predicative phrase b) the formal clause + the latter clause c) location-indicating phrase + sentence d) objective phrase + predicative phrase Since the text of a sijo work is formed like this, sijo is said to be composed of three jang (statement) & six gu (phrase), which is the very feature that proves that sijo is a fixed form of verse.
