Development of Mucking Process Simulation Model for Productivity Improvement in Tunneling Operation (터널 버력처리 공정의 생산성 분석을 위한 시뮬레이션 모델 개발)

  • This study establishes the model to estimate a work time and a machine equipment combination in a NATM tunnel. Also it includes the increasing rate of haulage distance in the model for to make near to reality model. A simulation model focuses on the mucking process which affects the work effectiveness very highly to plan of machine use in tunneling operation. With the analysis of work effectiveness through tunnel simulation model, it is defined the problem of planning phase. Also it shows the optimal working time and efficiency of machine used through change the number of dump truck and haulage distance.

  • Introduction of new design tools has been required to optimally design and operate the ventilation system of long vehicle tunnels.. The demand has led to wide spread use of the simulation technique throughout the would to analysis the dynamic relationship among the variables associated with vehicle tunnel ventilation. This paper aims at performing on-site study at local tunnels to test the applicability of NETVEN, a simulation model vehicle tunnel ventilation. The study was carried out at four urban as well as highway tunnels model of vehicle tunnel ventilation. The study was carried out at four urban as well as highway tunnels employing different ventilation systems as well as traffic methods. There were some discrepancies sound between the simulation output and measurements and the following four factors are considered to mainly cause those disagreement. (1) The real situation shows distinctive transient and retarding characteristics with respect to air flow and contaminant dispersion, while ventilation forces are not steady-state and in particular those traffic and climatic variables show significant instantaneous variation. (3) Near the exit portal, the CO levels show bigger differences. The general trend is that data with higher CO concentrations carry bigger discrepancies. Turbulent diffusion is though to be the main reason for it and also contribute to the fact hat the highest CO concentrations are found at the locations somewhat inward, not at the exit portals. (4) Higher traffic rate results in higher discrepancies of ventilation velocity. Along with the exhaust characteristics, the vehicle aerodynamic characteristics need to be studied continuously in order to reduce the velocity disagreement.

  • Subterranean termites forage by constructing tunnel networks in soil and encounter food resources during tunnel excavation. Some species of termites can travel up to 150 m underground. They often travel to the surface to find wood cellulose to feed their colony, which in turn causes extensive damage to wooden architecture, such as timber-frame houses. This type of damage has been constantly increasing along with global warming because higher temperatures provide an ecological niche for termites. The damage is closely related to termite territory size and distribution. Recently, as a way to research termite control, the necessity of a mathematical model to simulate termite territory formation in relation to damage has increased. So far, however, few studies have been conducted on the development of a model because it is difficult to quantify or characterize the relationship between territorial behavior and field conditions including complicated environmental factors. In the present study, we suggest a simulation model of the territoriality of the Formosan subterranean termites, Coptotermes formosanus (Shiraki), and Reticulitermes flavipes (Kollar), based on empirical data. The model consists of 2 procedures. One describes tunnel network growth for each colony, and the other represents territoriality based on tunnel-tunnel interactions between different colonies. Using the model, we show changes in territorial competition according to the termination probability of tunnel growth.

  • Estimation of total construction period and cost in the early stage of the project is very important. Simulation is one of the method considering proper compound such as tools, materials for effective construction management and estimating and analysing affected factors to construction through making suitable process. This study is to develop the model by using Arena simulation considering limited facts like blast time in a subway tunnel construction of both sides inner city. Developed model is easily useful type by using Visual Basic program, and can obtain total construction period and cost as a result. It could be used as a decision making tool in early stage of the construction.

  • For applying simulation to the construction process, much effort is needed to collect input data and to build the model including the characteristics of site. This study introduces the methodology to collect operation data of construction equipment and build the simulation model, then verifies the model with the operation data. In addition, this study identifies main factors to determine the cycle time of the muck hauling system and offers reasonable decision making data using the simulation based planning of construction equipment operation.

  • 본 연구에서는 나노구조 FinFET 제작시 게이트산화막 특성이 서브문턱영역에서 전송특성에 미치는 영향을 분석하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 분석학적 전송모델을 사용하였으며 분석학적 모델을 유도하기 위하여 포아슨방정식을 이용하였다. 나노구조 FinFET에서 문턱전압이하의 전류전도에 영향을 미치는 열방사전류와 터널링전류에 대하여 분석하였으며 본 연구의 모델이 타당하다는 것을 입증하기 위하여 서브문턱스윙값을 이차원 시뮬레이션값과 비교하였다. 결과적으로 본 연구에서 제시한 전송특성모델이 이차원 시뮬레이션모델과 매우 잘 일치하였으며 FinFET의 전송특성이 게이트산화막의 특성에 따라 매우 큰 변화를 보이는 것을 알 수 있었다. 특히 게이트길이가 작아지면서 전송특성에 커다란 영향을 미치는 터널링특성에 대하여 집중적으로 분석하였다.

  • In this paper, it has been analyzed how transport characteristics is influenced on gate oxide properties in the subthreshold region as nano structure FinFET is fabricated. The analytical model is used to derive transport model, and Possion equation is used to obtain analytical model. The thermionic emission and tunneling current to have an influence on subthreshold current conduction are analyzed for nano-structure FinFET, and subthreshold swings of this paper are compared with those of two dimensional simulation to verify this model. As a result, transport model presented in this paper is good agreement with two dimensional simulation model, and this study shows that the transport characteristics have been changed by gate oxide properties. As gate length becomes smaller, funneling characteristics, one of the most important transport mechanism, have been analyzed.

  • 최근 급격히 장대화 하고 있는 차량 터널의 효율적 건설 및 운영을 위하여 관련 기본 요소 기술 중 특히 국내 기술 수준이 낙후한 분야 중의 하나인 환기 시스템 설계 기술에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 외국의 경우에 비하여 상대적으로 늦긴 했으나 1990년 환경처가 지하 공간 환경 기준 권고치를 설정 발표함으로써 보사부의 공중 위생법, 건설부의 도로법, 노동부 고시 등에 의한 관리 대상이던 터널 내 오염 물질도 직접적인 규제 대상이 되었다. (중략)
