Performance Evaluation of An Azimuth Tracking Prismatic Daylighting System (방위각 추적식 프리즘형 집광조명시스템 성능평가)

  • This thesis introduced an azimuth tracking prismatic daylighting system. The system improved several issues of the previous passive prismatic daylighting system: low efficiency at sunrise and sunset, glare effect and polarized. The system was developed to track the movement of sun with azimuth tracking device, and it has its own power from the attached solar cells. We compared the with previous passive one in terms with system efficiency and daylighting factors(DF).

  • Global village warming and carbon dioxide CO2 gas, and the human efforts for their healing and necessary alternative technology would be much more difficult things than that of making necessary funds and efforts to lay to sleep angry nature on the earth. The limited natural resources of fossil fuel would be dried up in several decades, and the intensity of diplomatic negotiations for natural resource guarantee among countries may be showed looking alike an war. The drain of fossil fuel called a new word of alternative policy like an environment-friendly green-growth, and the solar-cell and lighting technology for the solar energy applications were developed still more repeatedly day by day from oil lantern to LED high-tech illumination in great economy. Therefore, it was studied that the low-carbon green-growth illumination technology in cave applications with SOLAR-LED system which was produced and unified in connection with solar-cell and LED from the semiconductor production technology, and it was also clarified in necessary with useful cave lighting in heatless and with no photosynthesis of plant production in underground space.

  • Solar sunlighting systems are useful to apply for most buildings. This study aims to analysis the development and architectural application of solar sunlighting systems. For the purpose, abroad developing situation of solar sunlighting systems were investigated and analyzed literally. And, by case studies, architectural application methods are analyzed. As results, light pipe systems are mainly used for small building and houses. Also solar mirror systems are used for atrium and underground spaces. Lens-fiber systems are applied for high rise buildings and office buildings which internally have no influx of sunlighting. Some application suggestion in our country are discussed.

  • We present results of the optical design and fabrication of a light-guiding plate (LGP) for a photobioreactor by using sunlight and a linear Fresnel lens. LGP patterns were designed by optical simulations with an illumination design tool, LightTools, and fabricated by using a computerized numerical control machine. Optical characteristics of average deviation of illuminance distribution and light throughput efficiency were measured and compared with simulation results.

A Study on the Impact of Media Façade Performances on the 10-story Gyeongcheonsa Pagoda (미디어파사드 상영 시 경천사지 십층석탑에 미치는 영향 조사 연구)

  • This study aims to identify the impact of optical energy on cultural properties when the light energy irradiates cultural assets during augmented reality (AR) or media façade performances as activities designed to garner public interest. The 10-story Gyeongcheonsa Pagoda was used for this study, and the impact was evaluated by comparing the optical energy irradiated during a media façade performance with the energy irradiated under normal conditions. For comparison, this study measured the illuminance in lux for each light source that irradiated the ten-story stone pagoda and used the data to calculate illuminance in lux-hours. The results showed that the pagoda receives 786.4 lux per hour when both sunlight and artificial light are present, while 13.2 lux of energy is irradicated by the media façade for each performance. The result indicates that the pagoda receives about 29.8 times more optical energy from sunlight and artificial light sources than during media façade performances on an hourly basis, when the performance is carried out twice a week. This study therefore concludes that the optical energy of media façade performances inflicted trivial damage to the ten-story stone pagoda.

식물생산과 관련한 광의 물리학적 용어 및 개념

  • 최근들어 원예학, 농학, 식물학 등의 분야에서 각종 환경요인에 대한 식물의 생장반응을 연구하기 위한 기초 실험의 상당 부분이 인공광원을 사용한 가운데 이루어지고 있다. 또한 상기의 기초연구 이외에 식물공장에서와 같이 인공광과 태양광의 병용 또는 인공광만을 사용한 식물생산의 상업화에 대한 연구가 활발하게 이루어지고 있는 가운데 조직 배양묘, 접목묘, 실생묘 등을 인공광하에서 효율적으로 생산하기 위한 식물묘 생산의 실용화 연구도 수행되고 있다. 그런데 식물생산과 밀접하게 관련된 광(또는 복사)에 관련된 용어의 정의 또는 단위가 물리학, 조명 공학, 생물학 등의 전문 분야에 따라 서로 다른 경우가 있으며, 식물을 연구 대상으로 삼는 분야에서도 관련 용어와 단위가 뒤섞여 사용되기도 한다. 즉 하나의 용어가 복수의 의미로 사용되거나, 반대로 하나의 정의에 대해서 다수의 용어가 사용되기도 한다. 이러한 경우 단위가 명확하게 표시되지 않으면 사용된 용어의 의미가 애매하게 전달될 수 있다. 그러므로 식물생산과 관련된 용어 또는 단위의 사용에 혼란이 초래되지 않도록 용어와 단위를 통일하는 것이 바람직 할 것으로 판단된다.(중략)

  • 전력선통신 기술을 활용한 제어시스템은 홈네트워크, 유틸리티공장, 빌딩조명제어, 태양광 신재생 설비 등 다양한 산업영역에서 활용될 수 있는 통신 기술이다. 본 논고에서는 친수공간에서의 가로등 설비의 설치 및 운영에 있어서 전력선 통신을 활용한 통신시스템 구축 방법과 설계 시 고려사항을 연구하고 실 구축 사례연구를 통해 향후 친수공간에서의 전력선 통신방식의 조명제어시스템 구축방향을 제시하고자한다.

  • Texturization technique has been employed to improve the efficiency of Al-MIS solar cells. The best condition for the formation of insulating layer was 50$0^{\circ}C$ in N2 ambient for 20 minutes, and the appropriate thickness of the Al barrier metal layer was about 100$\AA$ For the texturization of the face a mixture of hydrazinehydrate and pyrocathecol was used. The efficiency improvement of the texturized cells ranged from 1.2 to 1.6% under 100mW/$\textrm{cm}^2$ illumination.

  • PV(Photovoltaic) system is environmentally friendly power system using solar energy in renewable energy. PV system compared to other renewable energy power generation systems is relatively easy to install, so the dissemination is increasing worldwide. Especially, BIPV(Building Integrated Photovoltaic) is a system that PV modules are installed on the building and use renewable energy. But this system is difficult to apply due to the shadow of adjacent buildings and limited installation. In this study, payback period is calculated by Retscreen 2010, that is an economic assessment software of renewable energy, on applied to the bridge of PV system. As results, this study aims at actively considering the application.
