The purpose of this paper is to analyze the residential location preference factors by households' characteristics in the case of Seoul metropolitan area households. The main results of this study are as follows. Firstly, residential location factors most preferred by Seoul metropolitan area households are accessibility of public transportation, followed by security and living environment. Therefore, we can see Seoul metropolitan area households prefer amenity and quality of life as residential location factors. Secondly, according to the results of AHP by age and household income, the residential location factors Seoul metropolitan area households prefer are different by age and household income. Thirdly, according to the results of comparative analysis between the case of Seoul metropolitan area and Daegu Gyeongbuk households, Seoul metropolitan area households more prefer safety and quality of life, on the other hand, Daegu Gyeongbuk households more prefer investment value of housing.

A new urban paradigm that moves from a vehicle-centric to pedestrian-centric culture should be considered to improve the quality of the pedestrian environments for women, children, senior citizens, and disabled persons as well as to promote community unification by providing general movement rights to everyone. This study was implemented to provide decent alternatives to improve street spaces. The street spaces around the Commercial and Residential Area No.1 located in the Administrative-Centered City, Sejong Special Autonomic City, were selected to analyze and define the status of the walkways and the street spaces. Satellite imagery and numerical maps were used to collect geographic data. Practical and actual surveys for the selected sites were performed to analyze the street status and the pedestrian status. Based on the all collected data, analysis results, and literature reviews, the questionnaire was made, and 315 inquiries qualified for analysis. The physical status of all four study sites was the highest level, Grade A, and green open spaces were relatively sufficient. As a result, the factors obtained from the factor analysis have an impact on the satisfaction of the pedestrian streets in the commercial area. The factors are as followed Design > Convenience > Roadside trees and rest areas > Safety > Safety protective facilities > Transportation and information facilities > Continuity > Basic state of road surfaces > Comfortability, and in the residential area: Transportation and information facilities > Basic state of road surfaces > Comfort > Convenience > Continuity > Design > Illumination and crime prevention facilities > Safety > Roadside trees and rest areas.

This study reflects our conviction that the maintenance of the landscape plants in apartment housing areas has appeared as an important factor. The defects ratio of the landscape plants shows high in the study, which tells us a serious situation were facing in consideration of the quality of residential Life. Methods for the effective maintenance of the landscape plants are recommended as follows; First, the landscape plants in apartment housing areas should be maintained by a specialist in landscape architecture. Second, the co-operative maintenance between inhabitants and specialists is required. Third, the over-all understanding of the landscape plants should be improved.

This paper aims to develop a web based GIS system which is able to evaluate and visualize the overall degree (in terms of pleasantness and aesthetics) of pedestrian friendliness of the environment, as well as pedestrians' convenience through a Walkability Indicators that simplify pedestrian environment elements into a quantitative index in accordance with characteristics of pedestrian space. To make this goal come true, we developed and applied Walkability index which can measure the pedestrian environment through reflecting quantitative Indicators based on GIS supplementing the limit of Literature Review. In addition, in order to develop index we utilized AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) and we displayed measurement result on study area through web GIS Services. The proposed pedestrian measurement system is expected to be applicable in the visualization of pedestrian movements and the evaluation of convenience levels of pedestrian environment.

The purpose of this paper is to find out the needs of housing contents in highschool Home Economics among students. The 105 housing contents and topics were chosen from the 3 textbooks and related references. The number of 516 questionnaire from 8 areas were used to analyze. Analyses indicated that respondents were more likely to favor Home Economics subject and one out of five wanted to select it. Average needs of the housing contents was above middle(3.4) and these was a little difference among 3 middle units in housing. The most needed unit was housing design. There was a more wide difference in 19 small units than in middle ones, ranged $3.00\sim3.91$. Individual contents showed the most variousness in needs from 2.89 to 4.30 in the middle unit of housing and environments, 3.00 to 4.01 in housing design, and 2.68 to 3.91 in housing management. The needs of additional contents were about the same as those textbook contents and it indicated that new textbook needs to adopt the newly demanded housing contents. Some of individual, family, and environmental characteristics were significantly related to the students needs. The higher positive attitude such as favor, interest, and selecting of the subject was related to the higher needs of housing contents. Residential areas and neighboring were also related to most of the needs of individual housing contents.

There are a growing number of cases to expand balconies of apartments faced with open air in order to enhance functional satisfaction and efficiency of dwelling space. In case of the balcony expansion at the floor, however, it is difficult to exclude a possibility of bringing about internal condensation due to the difference of temperature between indoor air and outdoor air caused by the Inflow of outer low-temperature air through the upper part of ceilings by failure in completely putting together the outer composite wall panels on the aluminum curtain walls installed at outer walls This study is to forecast possible occurrence of internal condensation around parapets and H-beam located at the inside of balcony ceilings on the uppermost floor of super-high apartment buildings faced with open air in order to provide dwellers with more comfortable environment in the related space and get rid of their uneasiness about the condensation. In this study, we estimated internal condensation, which vary in accordance with humidity pressure distribution, at curtain walls, stone panels or lower parts of slabs that constitute outer space of the residence and are weak against heat, through temperature forecast and temperature distribution interpretation program at normal two-dimension temperature

The economic development and the development of medical treatment by scientific technology development progressed the level of national people life and improved average life gradually. In this reason, old people who have finance power would like to receive a comport and high level service, though paying proper expense. In this study, receiving this requirement, we focused that silver town have reasonable and comfortable residing environment in developing rural and rest form silver town objecting external area of Chon-Ju city, and selected land suitability. Through the learning of the neural network theory in the method of land suitability, we applied in the full of study area and improved a flexible determination making as giving each class value in each cell. Also, we compare a method of land suitability using the neural network theory, and it's analysis with a method of land suitability by the duplication method of Boolean Logic have been used In Geo Spatial Information System(GSIS) and proved the Boolean Logic's lose of values and the propriety.

The main point of this paper is to examine the composition of interior space of the residence centered on carved ceramic candlestick with the motive of Yeonga. And with the Yeonga candlestick developed using that, the application of space convergence in the interior design is researched. As the industry develops, pleasant and comfortable living environment draws attention in choosing residence with the psychology to engage nature into the house working. It is anticipated that the Yeonga candlestick interior accessories will be used to smoothly connect floor, wall and ceiling. As the shape of Yeonga includes the aura of the luminaire, the design element of Yeonga is researched through it. These sources are applied to the carved candlestick to investigate their application as indoor lighting. It is also a major viewpoint to develop this as a ceramic product and actively utilize it as a necessary interior item in daily life.

In the COVID-19 crisis, the elderly over 60 have various psychological health problems such as depression, anxiety, and fear, and the community has become the only space for senior activities. To this end, this study presented a therapeutic aging-friendly community environmental design evaluation system using theoretical review, FGI interview, and hierarchical analysis AHP. The evaluation system is a three-dimensional space, with 10 upper layers and 68 lower layers. In addition, the weight of each index of the evaluation system was distributed through expert survey and SPSS program analysis. First, the material space environment design must satisfy the comfort and health of the elderly when they are active in a common space for their daily life. Second, the design of social space environment is designed to promote exchange and social connection among the elderly. Third, the operating space environment design considers the operating system of the community operating company as important. Through this, it is expected to improve the psychological health of the elderly by providing systematic technical basis and action guidelines for the development of the residential environment of the elderly.

This paper is to propose design and implementation methods of a pet dog management system that can effectively manage the pet dog in home through client such as a mobile terminal or a PC from remote location, in the absence of the owner in the house. Through this system, we can manage the dog efficiently via a series of monitoring and control functionalities of the dog such as observing of the dog's status, or feeding the dog, or taking the necessary measures on maintaining a healthy environment such as temperature/humidity sensing and turn on/off fans and lights, or sending SMS text to the owner from detection of the barking of the dog.
