  • The purpose of this study was to provide instructional implications for synchronous online learning at universities by examining variables that influence the outcome of synchronous online learning and investigating the relationships of the variables. To achieve the purpose, self-regulated learning, social presence, learning engagement and perceived academic achievement were measured by 123 university students who had taken synchronous online learning for spring semester in 2020. The collected data were analyzed through SPSS and SPSS PROCESS macro. The results were as follows. First, self-regulated learning and learning engagement significantly predicted perceived academic achievement while social presence did not. Second, self-regulated learning had a direct effect on perceived academic achievement and had an indirect effect on perceived academic achievement through learning engagement. Third, social presence did not have a direct effect on perceived academic achievement, but had an indirect effect on perceived academic achievement through learning engagement. The implications based on the results were suggested.

  • Recently, chatbots have been applied in various fields and have shown good results, and many attempts to use chatbots in shopping mall product recommendation services are being conducted on e-commerce platforms. In this paper, for a conversation system that recommends a fashion that a user wants based on conversation between the user and the system and fashion image information, a transformer model that is currently performing well in various AI fields such as natural language processing, voice recognition, and image recognition. We propose a multimodal-based improved transformer model that is improved to increase the accuracy of recommendation by using dialogue (text) and fashion (image) information together for data preprocessing and data representation. We also propose a method to improve accuracy through data improvement by analyzing the data. The proposed system has a recommendation accuracy score of 0.6563 WKT (Weighted Kendall's tau), which significantly improved the existing system's 0.3372 WKT by 0.3191 WKT or more.

  • The purpose of this study was to review meditation programs for stress relief of Korean nurses. Whittmore and Knafl's integrative review methods were used. The search yielded 97 articles, 7 of which met the criteria and were included in the review. One of the selected studies was a randomized controlled quasi-experimental design and six were a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design. Meditation programs varied from 5 to 8 sessions. All of the meditation programs measured the effect on stress as various meditation programs. However, there was one study confirming the degree of stress management maintenance after the end of the meditation program. Although there are contents to strengthen the practice and will of nurses, it was confirmed that it was difficult to evaluate sincerity. Therefore, a highly accessible program for nurses in various clinical situations and strategies to strengthen participants' practice and will needs to be included in the meditation program content.

  • This study explores convergence curriculum for design and data science, and applies data science knowledge on undergraduate design classes for designer's data literacy. First, related studies about data literacy education for non-data science major's, and data driven design project cases are explored, then design competency and data competency based on NCS are studied. Then this study developed 3 step design-data convergence curriculum model for designers' data literacy. The curriculum model is applied on case study classes, which are Big data and UX design(2) classes. The learning results and student's feedback of the case study classes are collected and analyzed to prove the design-data convergence curriculum, and the results provide findings and implications of the design-data convergence class case study.

  • With the technical development of fourth industrial revolution, VR game market is rapidly expanding. Meanwhile, heavy user group means the group consisting of people consuming certain media or contents more than others, which is the core constituency of the media industry, and there have been only a few studies on them. This study identified the factors that influenced the continuous intention of use of VR game heavy users and figured out their characteristics by verifying the difference in variables with the light user group. According to the results, the heavy user group showed higher behaviors than the light user group in terms of personal innovation, presence, and continuous intention of use variables. In addition to this, it was found that personal innovation, perceived quality, and presence had a significant influence on the continuous intention of use. This study is intended to empirically analyze the characteristics of heavy VR game users and influential factors, thereby preparing baseline data for VR game development and other relevant studies.

  • In accordance with the educational paradigm that values self-directed creative education, school libraries and public libraries emphasize self-directed learning support through curriculum-linked programs as their main tasks. For self-directed learning, it is essential to provide learner-centered educational knowledge information, and there should be abundant textbook-linked references that can deepen and expand the curriculum reflected in textbooks. This study established KDC-linked information related to unit and cross-curricular learning topics through the analysis of elementary school textbooks and curriculum-linked books, restructured KDC system based on major subjects in the elementary school curriculum, and established a curriculum-linked subject information. Libraries can strengthen support for self-directed creative learning for elementary school students in an online environment by linking library content targeted for each user with elementary school education content focusing on learning topics in the curriculum.

  • This study aims to analyze exercise cases and issues using smart devices and technologies, and to present the development direction of a smart exercise environment suitable for the wellness life of active seniors with high activity and economic power unlike the existing silver generation. In the fitness industry, the subscription economy that regularly receives or uses necessary exercise tools, services, and digital content is expanding, and business models based on hardware sales and content subscription continue to emerge. In order to have value competitiveness as a platform that provides active seniors with integrated exercise services for health care, not only fitness centers, but also home training exercise equipment, fitness-related applications, and smart wearable device markets should be organically connected to form an expanded total platform. In order to have value competitiveness as a platform that provides active seniors with integrated exercise services for health care, not only fitness centers, but also home training exercise equipment, fitness-related applications, and smart wearable device markets should be organically connected to form an expanded total platform. The linkage of the digital healthcare function, which provides real-time changes to exercise programs based on continuous monitoring and feed back through wearable devices before, after, and during exercise by receiving and selecting exercise programs suitable for individual health status, is the differentiating factor in the smart fitness model.
