A study on the structural behaviour of shotcrete and concrete lining by experimental and numerical analyses (숏크리트 및 콘크리트 라이닝의 역학적 거동에 관한 실험 및 수치해석적 연구)

  • Tunnel lining is the final support of a tunnel and reflects the results of the interaction between ground and support system. Recently it is very difficult to support and manage the tunnel because the cracks on tunnel lining cause many problems in supporting and managing tunnels. Therefore the analysis of the cracks is quite strongly required. In this study, mechanical behaviour of a tunnel lining was examined by model tests and by numerical analyses. Especially the model test was examined for double linings including shotcrete and concrete lining. The model tests were carried out under various conditions taking different loading shapes, horizontal stresses, thicknesses of linings and double lining, vault opening behind the concrete lining and rock-like medium surrounding the lining. Due to horizontal stress, compressive stress prevailed on the lining. Thus the bearing capacity of the lining increased. The existence of a vault opening behind the concrete lining reduced the bearing capacity by the similar amount of reduction of concrete lining thickness. Rock-like medium cast around the side wall of the lining restrained the deflection of the lining, and the bearing capacity for cracking and failure increased vary much. In numerical analyses a algorithm which can analysis the double lining by introduction of interface element was developed. And the results of the numerical analyses were compared with the results of the model tests.

  • 라이닝과 굴착작업은 통상적으로 병행작업이 되며, 라이닝은 시공속도가 빠르기 때문에 공기는 주로 굴착 속도에 지배된다. 그러나 소단면/원형단면 터널에서는 작업 공간확보문제 등 제반조건에 따라 굴착과 라이닝 작업이 분리되어 라이닝 공정이 전체 공기에 커다란 영향을 끼치는 경우도 있다. 라이닝 콘크리트의 타설시기는 계측에 의해 원지반의 변위가 수렴된 것을 확인한 후 하는 것이 원칙이다. 따라서 NATM 에서는 전단면 라이닝이 일반적이다. 본 고에서는 라이닝 설비로서 사용되는 타설설비, 운반설비, 형틀설비의 총 3편으로 나누어 라이닝 기계에 대하여 설명하도록 한다.

  • The purpose of maintenance monitoring is to offer the objective and continuous data in order to be lasting security affirmation and best fitted maintenance of tunnel structure. Though recently the examples of maintenance monitoring which Is applied to tunnel are rapidly increasing, long-term measured monitoring actual results and rationally analysis method researches are wholly lacking. In this study, it is analyzed that the relationship of stress and reinforcement stress of concrete lining, i.e., last support materials of tunnel through regression analysis based on the monitoring result of the subway tunnel, which was accomplished the monitoring for long period, passing the weathering. Also, through the analysis of the stress and the safety of concrete lining, it is estimated that the frequency of maintenance monitoring and the in-situ application of the criteria value of management.

A New Method for Elasto-Plastic Analysis of Concrete Lining Installed in a Deep Circular Tunnel (심부 원형터널에 시공된 콘크리트 라이닝의 새로운 탄소성해석법)

  • This paper proposes an elasto-plastic finite difference method which is useful for the stability evaluation of concrete lining installed in a deep circular tunnel. Mohr-Coulomb criterion is assumed for the condition of yielding in both the rock mass and concrete lining. In order to take into account the installation delay of lining after the excavation, the outer boundary pressure acting on the lining was calculated with the consideration of the convergence occurred before the lining installation. The distributions of stress and displacement in the rock mass and lining were calculated based on the method proposed Lee & Pietruszczak (2008). The applicability of the proposed method was demonstrated by conducting the elasto-plastic analysis of concrete lining supporting an imaginary compressed air storage tunnel. The analysis result revealed that the exact determination of the boundary pressures acting on the concrete lining is of importance in the stability analysis of concrete lining.

A Study on the Effect of Blast-Vibration on Curing Lining-Concrete (발파진동이 양생중인 라이닝 콘크리트에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • 현재까지 진동이 양생중인 콘크리트에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 수행된 대부분의 연구에서는 콘크리트 공시체나 콘크리트 블록에 대해 100Hz 미만의 주주파수를 가지는 충격진동이나 진동테이블을 이용한 진동을 가한 후 콘크리트의 강도 변화를 평가하는 방법이 사용되었다. 이 연구에서는 발파진동이 양생중인 라이닝 콘크리트에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 우해 실험실 충격진동 시험과 터널 현장에서의 발파진동 시험을 수행하였다. 터널발파진동과 유사한 100~300Hz의 주주파수를 가지 충격진동을 각각 재령 3, 7, 12 시간에 다한 실험실 시험결과 2cm/sec의 진동속도는 모르타르 라이닝의 P파속도를 증가시키지만, 5 cm/sec, 10cm/sec의진동의 모르타르 라이닝의 P파 속도를 감소시킬 수 있는 것으로 나타났다. 양생기간동안 2.5 cm/sec 이하의 발파진동이 가해진 양생중인 라이닝 콘크리트는 진동을 가하지 않고 양생시킨 콘크리트 공시체에 비해 압축강도가 더 큰 값을 나타내었다. 재령 5시간에 콘크리트 라이닝애 대한 소규모 시험발파로 발파진동을 가한 콘크리트 시료와 진동을 가하지 않고 터널 내에서 양생시킨 공시체에 대해 압축강도를 비교한 결과 콘크리트의 강도 및 탄성파 속도를 저하시킬 수 있는 진동수준은 3~4cm/sec 인 것 으로 나타났다.로 나타났다.

  • 최근 국내에서는 대심도 터널 시공계획이 발표되면서 터널 구조물에 대한 방재 및 내화설계에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 화재 발생 시 문제가 발생할 수 있는 콘크리트 라이닝의 내화설계를 위해서는 보다 구체적인 내화성능을 측정하기 위한 내화실험이 실시되어야 한다. 현재 국내에서는 건축물의 내화성능을 평가하기 위한 시험평가 방법이 제시되어 있는 상태이나 터널 구조물에 대한 시험법이나 성능평가는 거의 전무한 상황이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 콘크리트 구조물의 화재손상 정도를 평가하기 위해 현장에서 사용되고 있는 터널 라이닝을 대상으로 화재 시 콘크리트 라이닝의 손상정도를 평가하였다. 실험은 대표적인 터널 화재시나리오 곡선인 RABT 화재 시나리오를 적용하였으며 폭렬방지에 효과적인 것으로 알려져있는 fiber cocktail(강섬유+폴리프로필렌섬유)의 혼입여부에 따른 성능평가도 함께 실시하였다.

  • Tunnel structures are widely used for transportations in mountains areas. To shorten the construction period and to cut down the construction expenditure, a construction technique that a tunnel excavation process and a tunnel lining process are simultaneously performed is often applied in the field. However, due to the vibration and impact caused by excavation process, cracking and deterioration of tunnel lining concrete could happen. This research experimentally investigated the effective role of the usages of blended cement and recently developed nylon fibers for tunnel lining concrete. It has been observed that both nylon fibers and blended cement improve the durability and physical properties of concrete.

  • Cast-in-place concrete lining is commonly used in tunnel lining, but cast-in-place concrete lining has problems with construction and quality control. Precast segment lining is being used to solve these problems. In general, precast segment lining is known to have improved durability and easy maintenance such as rehabilitation of structures. This study compared the durability of 22 tunnel linings constructed with precast segments or cast-in-place reinforced concrete.

Concrete Lining Behaviors of Subway Tunnels according to Temperature Variations (온도변화에 따른 지하철 터널의 콘크리트 라이닝 거동)

  • In this study, the behavior of urban subway tunnels is measured using instrumentation sensors installed in the lining concrete inside subway tunnels in order to analyze their behavior according to temperature variations. It is observed that the stresses of the concrete lining, tunnel convergence, and cracks change according to the temperature variations. However, the crack deformation differs depending on the size and status of the crack. In addition, this study proposes a correction formula for the lining stress and tunnel convergence through numerical analyses of the concrete lining according to the temperature variations. The results of this research can be used in the tunnel maintenance considering the tunnel behavior depending on the temperature variations in the tunnel.

Experimental Study on Internal Temperature Change Induced by Heating Element Attached to Tunnel Lining Surface (터널 라이닝 표면에 부착된 발열체로 인한 내부 온도 변화의 실험적 연구)

  • The rearside of concrete lining of tunnels constructed in cold region might experience on freezing due to the low temperature. This causes damage of concrete lining resulting in adverse affect on the durability as well as integrity of tunnel structure by causing damage to the concrete lining. In order to prevent the rearside of tunnel lining from freeing, the temperature change inside the concrete lining was measured by attaching a heating element to the tunnel lining surface and generating heat for a certain period of time. A special freezing chamber was developed to conduct the experiments considering in-situ environment. The carbone nanotube (CNT) was used as a heating element in this study. The temperature distribution of the concrete lining was measured by applying the heat to the heating element. The effect of the outside temperature and heating duration were analyzed.
