OBD2 Vehicle Operation Information Black Box System for Accident Preparedness (사고 발생에 대비한 OBD2 차량 운행 정보 블랙박스)

  • 본 논문에서는 주행 중 차량의 상태를 실시간으로 모니터링함과 동시에, 페달 조작 여부를 확인할 수 있는 영상 촬영 및 저장 시스템을 제안한다. 개발된 차량 운행 정보 블랙박스는 블루투스 OBD2 커넥터를 통해 차량의 PID 값을 식별하고 수집한다. 이 데이터는 비동기 방식으로 처리되며, 라즈베리파이와 7인치 터치 디스플레이를 이용해 운전자에게 한눈에 보일 수 있는 형태로 정보를 제공한다. 특히, 멀티스레드를 활용하여 ECU 정보를 페달 조작 여부 영상에 표시하는 동시에 녹화하고, CSV 파일로 SD 카드에 실시간으로 저장한다. 수집된 차량 데이터와 영상 데이터는 예기치 못한 사고 발생 시 운전자의 과실 비율 측정과 대처행동을 입증하는 데 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 기대되며, 차량 정비 시 참고 자료로 활용될 수 있다.

  • 본 논문은 대형 마트에서의 쇼핑 편의성을 향상시키기 위한 스마트 쇼핑 카트 시스템을 제안하고 구현한 것을 다룬다. 현재의 쇼핑 환경에서 소비자들이 물품을 찾는데 불편함과 계산하는 과정에서 발생하는 대기시간의 문제점들이 있다. 본 시스템은 이 문제점을 해결하기 위해 카트 디스플레이를 활용하여 물품의 위치를 실시간으로 안내하고, 데이터베이스와 라즈베리파이를 활용하여 물품을 개별적으로 다시 스캔하지 않고도 계산대와 카트를 연결하여 자동 결제 기능을 제공한다. 이를 통해 쇼핑 과정을 효율적으로 만들어 고객들이 보다 신속하고 편리하게 쇼핑을 마칠 수 있도록 한다. 연구 결과로는 쇼핑 계산과정에서 대기시간의 감소와 물품 위치의 정확한 안내가 고객들에게 높은 효율성과 편의성을 제공한다는 점을 강조하며, 이로 인해 마트의 고객 회전률이 상승하여 지역 활성화에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

A Research on the Design and Implementation of LED Display-based Light Gun Systems

  • With the current surge in leisure sports activities involving firearms and the costly shooting practices in the military, there's a growing interest in using virtual reality as a cost-effective alternative. This study proposes a system that addresses the drawbacks of existing shooting practice setups, such as dim spaces and high installation costs, by making it feasible on large display screens. The system integrates IR receivers and guns for practice, ensuring usability and efficiency through an application. Additionally, an accuracy adjustment feature enhances precise coordination recognition. As a result, this cyber light gun system offers an affordable solution for outdoor training.

Performance Evaluation of CoMirror System with Video Call and Messaging Function between Smart Mirrors (스마트 미러간 화상 통화와 메시징 기능을 가진 CoMirror 시스템의 성능평가)

  • Smart mirror is an IoT device that attaches a display and an embedded computer to the mirror and provides various information to the user along with the mirror function. This paper presents performance evaluation of the CoMirror system as an extension of the previous research in which proposed and implemented the CoMirror system that connects Smart Mirrors using a network. First, the login performance utilizing face recognition was evaluated. As result of the performance evaluation, it was concluded that the 40 face images are most suitable for face learning and only one face image is most suitable for face recognition for login. Second, as a result of evaluating the message transmission time, the average time was 0.5 seconds for text, 0.63 seconds for audio, and 2.9 seconds for images. Third, as a result of measuring a video communication performance, the average setup time for video communication was 1.8 seconds and the average video reception time was 1.9 seconds. Finally, according to the performance evaluation results, we conclude that the CoMirror system has high practicality.

An Analysis of Computerized Implementation of Film Colored Overlays Based on Optical Characteristics and User Preference (필름 색 오버레이의 광학적 특성과 사용자 선택을 반영한 컴퓨터 구현성 분석)

  • The feasibility of a virtual colored overlay is based on constraints of computer and user preference and it is evaluated for people with Scotopic Sensitivity Syndrome. We draw ${\alpha}$ and chromaticities of virtual colored overlay which will be implemented on IT devices by measuring optical characteristics of 2 representative film overlays and simulating them. We analyzed the influence of two illuminating conditions on the virtual colored overlay. We find that it is possible to get the multiple combinations of alpha and source RGB values to match a chromaticity which is presented in CIE-Luv color space under ideal white condition of display, a user can select one among them with respect to clarity and comfort. Under 100 lx difference of illumination conditions, the changes of chromaticities are negligible, but luminances are increased $37.8cd/m^2$ average(std 2.006) at high illumination condition.

  • Computer-generated integral imaging system is an auto-stereoscopic display system that users can see and feel the stereoscopic images when they see the pre-rendered elemental images through a lens array. The process of constructing elemental images using computer graphics is called image mapping. Viewpoint vector rendering (VVR) method is one of the image mapping algorithm specially designed for real-time graphics applications, which would not be affected by the size of the rendered objects or the number of elemental lenses used in the integral imaging system. This paper describes a new VVR framework which improved its rendering performance considerably. It also compares the previous VVR implementation with the new VVR work utilizing GPU and shows that newer implementation shows pretty big improvements over the old method.

  • Field data acquisition is faster in PDA-based mobile environment compared with document-based data acquisition, ensuring accurate data acquisition. However, portable DAQ systems of mobile environment can effectively replace DAQ systems embedded in computers but are less capable than DAQ systems embedded in computers and usually used in environments different from computers, causing noises whose cause are characteristics not certainly known. Therefore, in order to collect mobile-based field data, CompactFlash card-based hardware prototypes are suggested and mobile applications which guarantee acquisition of large amount of data with low hardware capability are performed. According to the test, mobile environments such as PDA were proved to be an effective way of collecting large amount of data. However, hardware performance has major effects on sequential data acquisition in mobile environments regardless of data display.

  • This paper investigated future telemedicine as implementation of the telemonitoring system using LAN environment. For telemonitoring system rapidly implementation used the PC compatible embedded computing system in the ROMDOS and application program used the WATTCP that free TCP/IP Stack. Host computer program - programed by Visual C++ - had saved ECG signal and Patient Data coming inside Embedded PC and displayed. Embedded PC acquired ECG signal and transmitted a Packet to Host Computer. Host Computer remote access Embedded PC. This structure is the same Client/Sever Model. This system will be basic telemedicine model. There are problems of realtime telemonitoring because of network delay and data packet. Because of these problems, telemedicine systems will be required faster network speed and method of bio-signal transmission.

A Hierarchical User Interface for Large 3D Meshes in Mobile Systems (모바일 시스템의 대용량 3차원 메쉬를 위한 계층적 사용자 인터페이스)

  • This paper introduces a user interface for large 3D meshes in mobile systems, which have limited memory, screen size and battery power. A large 3D mesh is divided into partitions and simplified in multi-resolutions so a large file is transformed into a number of small data files and saved in a PC server. Only selected small files specified by the user are hierarchically transmitted to the mobile system for 3D browsing and rendering. A 3D preview in a pop-up shows a simplified mesh in the lowest resolution. The next step displays simplified meshes whose resolutions are automatically controlled by the user interactions. The last step is to render a set of detailed original partitions in a selected range. As a result, while minimizing using mobile system resources, our interface enables us to browse and display 3D meshes in mobile systems through real-time interactions. A mobile 3D viewer and a 3D app are also presented to show the utility of the proposed user interface.

  • The advancement of wireless technology improves the electronic learning by combining with the mobile function, and promotes the expanded transition to the mobile learning. Basically, the mobile learning provides the usefulness in terms of tile and space to provide learners with the access to the educational contents. However, the small display device and limited memory space of mobile device is limiting the access to the learning contents simply to the text-based transmission. This paper designed and implemented the multimedia mobile learning system that reduces the size of parser by define into MSMIL composed only of needed tag to multimedia contents production in the mobile devices by using the SMIL that supports the multimedia object synchronization reduces the data of multimedia learning data and enhances the transmission efficiency by applying the macro method in creating the contents of learning. The results of implementation indicates that it simplifies the designing language, makes the language learning easy, and saves the CPU resources for the parsing by reducing the size of parser.
