A Study on Hybrid Wall System on Connection Type of Coupling Beam (커플링 보의 접합방식에 따른 복합 벽체 시스템에 관한 연구)

  • The Hybrid Wall System(HWS) building composed of center core reinforced concrete walls and exterior steel frame has open space around the center core walls. It is necessary to develop design methodologies for the HWS building that the coupled shear walls withstand the most of lateral load and expect the most energy dissipation at the coupling beams and at wall foots. Major factors considered in this paper are connection type of coupling beams and scale of story. The studies of the system are investigated in terms of shear force, overturning moment, maximum lateral displacement, story drift ratio, and dynamical characteristics under the action of vertical and lateral forces such as wind and seismic loads.

  • 본 논문에서는 무선LAN용으로 사용할 수 있는 마이크로 스트립을 이용한 대역동과 필터를 설계하였다. 기존의 링이나 square loop의 구조를 이용한 공진기와는 다르게 cross loop 와 meander loop의 구조를 이용한 공진기를 혼합한 형태로써 크기가 상당히 줄어든 새로운 구조와 BandPass Filter를 설계하였다.

Wideband Bandstop filter Using Dual Spurline and Coupling Open Stubs (이중 스퍼라인과 커플링 오픈스터브를 이용한 광대역 대역저지 필터)

  • In this paper, we propose a wideband band-stop filter (BSF) in order to extend the stopband of the band-stop filter using a symmetric dual spurline and the coupled open stub. First, we know that the symmetric dual spurline structure is advantageous in widening the stopband, as compared to the asymmetric dual spurline structure. So we designed a band-stop filter that combines the electrically coupled open stub (ECOS) band-stop filter with a symmetric dual spurline. We can greatly extend the stopband, when it is combined with the dual spurline and electrically coupled open stub on a microstrip transmission line, without any size increment. The stopband of the proposed band-stop filter is extended by approximately 244% (rejection depth: -20 dB) compared with a band-stop filter without a dual spurline.

  • 본 논문은 SMPS 및 가전기기와 휴대 전자기기 등에서 전원회로로 폭넓게 사용되고 있는 플라이백 컨버터의 트랜스포머를 기존의 샌드위치권선 방식이 아닌 동축권선 방식을 적용하여 기존의 샌드위치권선 방식보다 우수한 1,2차 커플링을 지니는 트랜스포머를 제안한다. 제안된 트랜스포머를 적용한 컨버터는 기존의 컨버터에 비하여 동일한 조건에서 보다 우수한 효율을 나타내고 있다. 제안된 컨버터용 트랜스포머의 구조 및 커플링을 설명하고 커플링계수를 비교 한 후 34[W]급 프로토 타입을 이용하여 검증하였다.

  • The dielectric slab waveguide is fabricated on the slide glass or oxidized silicon wafer, by spin coating polyurethane, epoxy or photoresist, and the phenomenon of dielectric waveguiding is oboerved. Using the fact that the refractive index of K.P.R. is larger than that of polyurethane, thin film prism with two layered structure is fabricated, and the refraction of light is observed.

  • Coupling bolts have replaced conventional fitted bolts in applications where the operator's safety during assembly/disassembly is of concern or where the cost of process interruption is significant. Coupling bolts have been installed on rotating flange couplings in a wide range of marine and power applications worldwide. Their use has been approved by all leading international and national classification societies and regulatory bodies. A coupling bolt is a hydraulically tensioned fitted bolt that creates a stable and rigid link between coupling flanges and simplifies assembly and disassembly. We measure the bolt dimensions for reverse engineering and study the standard of assembly-load using a mechanical formula in order to localize a coupling bolt for a shaft in a power plant. We experimentally obtain the friction coefficient and confirm the condition of bolt sets through structure analysis. We show the variation of contact pressure for the shape parameter in order to consider the result when redesigning a bolt.

  • The effect of unreactive coupling agent on mechanical and thermal properties of talc-filled polypropylene (PP) composites was studied. Stearic and oleic acids were introduced as coupling agents, and tensile, flexural, and impact strength, thermal stability and melting transition temperature were measured and analyzed according to the types and concentration of coupling agents. Tensile and flexural strength were enhanced by introduction of coupling agent and the maximum effect was observed at the concentration of 3 wt% of coupling agent. Tensile and flexural strength of PP treated with oleic acid were higher than those of PP treated with stearic acid. but impact strength vice-versa. The reasons for these results were postulated by analyzing morphologies of talc-filled PP observed by SEM.

  • In this paper, the reduced size of broad bandpass filter with parallel coupled line structure is presented. This proposed filter can control bandwidth of narrow to broadband by adjusting the coupling coefficient. The conventional filter is operated with a narrow band. If a higher bandwidth is desired than the conventional narrow bandwidth, it is hard to realize due to the coupling coefficient between feeding line and resonator. In this paper, to overcome this limitation, a proposed bandpass filter is designed with reduced size due to SIR (Stepped Impedance Resonator), U-shaped open stub with hair-pin and vertical-type structure than conventional one, and it has characteristics of adjusting bandwidth freely as per quantity of coupling coefficient. The proposed bandpass filter that, experimental results of insertion and return losses are 0.42 dB and 24.5 dB with bandwidth of 60 % at the center frequency of 5.8 GHz, respectively.

  • 광도파로는 변조기, 스위치, 필터, 센서, 파장변환기 등 많은 분야에 응용이 되고 있다. 이러한 광도파로의 손실측정방법에는 프리즘 커플러를 이용하는 방법, fabry-perot 구조의 물질이 갖는 pyroelectric effect를 이용한 방법, 도파로의 입출력 단에 fiber를 커플링하여 측정하는 방법 등을 들 수 있다. 그러나, 프리즘 커플러를 이용한 방법은 미세패턴의 도파로 측정이 어렵고, pyroelectric effect를 이용하는 방법은 특정한 방향으로 도파되는 광의 측정이 불가능하며, 마지막으로 fiber 커플링 방법은 항상 같은 조건하에서의 손실 측정이 어려운 단점이 있다.   • In this paper, equivalent circuit model and novel model parameter extraction method of a silicon(Si) substrate are presented. Substrate coupling through Si-substrate is quantitatively investigated by analyzing equivalent circuit with operating frequency and characteristic frequencies (i.e., pole and zero frequency) of a system. For the experimental verification of the equivalent circuit and parameter extraction method, test patterns are designed and fabricated in standard CMOS technology with various isolation distances, substrate resistivity, and guard-ring structures. Then, these are measured in l00MHz-20GHz frequency range by using vector network analyzer. It is shown that the equivalent-circuit-based HSPICE simulation results using extracted parameters have excellent agreement with the experimental results. Thus, the proposed equivalent circuit and parameter extraction methodology can be usefully employed in mixed-signal circuit design and verification of a circuit performance.
