  • 얀센메커니즘을 활용한 보행로봇의 단점인 저속을 개선 하기위한 연구이다. 그 예시로 라인트레이싱 속도를 높이기 위한 다리의 최적설계를 수행하였다. 이를 위해 EDISON에서 제공하는 프로그램을 사용하여 Ground angle coefficient와 Ground length를 더한 목적함수를 최대값으로 설계하였고 보행능력이 증가하였다.

  • In this paper an optimization algorithm is suggested to reduce the huge computation time in the optimum design of large structures, especially in spacecraft structures. It combines the coupled load analysis model using a constrained mode of component mode synthesis and the modal transient analysis. The computer simulation code is developed and evaluated in optimizing spacecraft platforms. The developed algorithm can alleviate the computational load with adequate accuracy. From the optimization of a spacecraft structural member, the characteristics of each structural member can be understood.

  • 자바언어는 이질적인 네트워크 환경에서 프로그램 개발이 적합하도록 설계된 언어이다. 자바언어의 특징은 소프트웨어를 쉽게 개발하는데 유용한 것은 사실이지만, 성능상 제약이 따르게 된다. 즉 자바는 클래스 파일이 이동하여 JVM 환경에서 인터프리팅 되는 시스템이므로, 클래스 파일이 이동하며 실행되는 동안의 성능의 저하 없이 자바의 특징을 이용하려면 복잡한 최적화와 실행 시스템이 요구된다. 본 논문은 네트워크 상에서 동적으로 다운로드 되는 클래스 파일의 최적화에 있다. 클래스 파일이 인터프리팅 되는 시스템이 보다 적은 네트워크 로드를 가지고 실행할 수 있도록 하며, 효율적인 실행 속도를 보이도록 하는 것이다. 여기서는 Class Field Optimizer는 내부적으로 Bytecode Optimizer와 ClassGen을 이용하여 실행시간을 개선하고 전체 클래스 파일의 크기를 줄이게 된다. Bytecode Optimizer는 peephole 최적화를 수행하고, bytecode 의존적 최적화, 그리고 전역최적화를 행하게 된다. ClassGen은 클래스 파일의 포맷에 따라 bytecode를 분석하고 본래의 클래스 파일보다 작은 크기의 클래스 파일을 생성하게 된다. 최적화된 클래스 파일은 부분적으로 클래스 파일의 최적화를 가져와 전체 클래스 파일의 크기를 줄이고, 인터프리터를 통하여 실행될 때 수행 속도면에서 좀더 빠른 실행 속도를 가지게 된다.

  • This paper presents the optimal design method of SAW filters with arbitrary frequency characteristics. The design program using the unconstrained nonlinear optimization method and FFT algorithm is developed for optimal design of SAW filters with arbitrary frequency characteristics. As a design example, a SAW TV IF filter with asymmetric-amplitude and nonlinear-phase frequency characteristics is designed.

  • Optimal design of heat exchanger for closed CO$_{2}$ gas turbine plant of three processes selected from the result of cycle analysis have been discussed previously paper(I) has been carried out under specified inlet and outlet conditions. Independent variables such as number of parallel connection, tube diameter, shell side and tube side pressure loss as well as dependent variables such as shell diameter, number of tubes, number of serial connections were all characterized according to the standardization or so. Search method was used to construct a computer simulation together with the calculation of heat transfer rate by logarithmic mean temperature difference method. Strength analysis of major parts was carried to examine their dimensions satisfying heat transfer and pressure loss requirements.

  • Distillation columns are one of the main equipment used for the separation of chemical components in petrochemical process design. However, in spite of the efficient operation in wide range, and the advantage of data collection for equipment verification, the distillation columns are inherently known for high energy consumption and capital cost. Hence, the trade-off analysis needs to be done between investment cost and operation cost to develop the most economical distillation columns. This study was conducted using Aspen Plus, a popular process simulation program, in the pursuit of broad application by as many process engineers as possible. In this paper, design variables for optimization of distillation columns were defined to improve emphatically the design quality with reducing erratic practice of many engineers. In addition, by eliminating unnecessary reviewing step and establishing systematic and efficient procedures, the amount of time for design and human resources were minimized. Aspen Process Economic Analyzers (APEA) program was introduced in order to calculate the investment cost reliably, and the efficient systematic procedure for utilization of APEA was established.

  • In this study, an automated optimum design program for steel box girder bridges has been developed for the optimum design of composite steel box girder bridges. The design constraints required for the optimum design of steel box girder bridges are based on the Korean standard bridge specification. Considering characteristics of steel box girder bridges, several approximation techniques, such as artificial constraint deletion, variable linking and stress reanalysis technique etc. are also introduced to enhance the efficiency of optimization. The developed program is mainly composed of major sub-system modules including structural analysis module using commercial structural analysis program such as RM-SPACEFRAME, optimum design module, pre-process module for friendly user input, and post-processor module for office automation. In addition, in order to demonstrate the efficiency and applicability of the developed optimum design program for steel box girder bridges, a few numerical examples are applied. Based on the results of the application, it may be stated that the automatic optimum design program developed in this study can be a prototype model for the developement of optimum design program for other type of bridge.

  • Recently, the space truss has been attracted by many designers because of their ability to support significant loads with a minimum material. And it is relatively flexible to design the configuration of structures. This paper presents a volume optimization for the space truss on the basis of result evaluated from nonlinear analysis. The optimization of the truss is done by nonlinear optimum GINO(General Interactive Nonlinear Optimizer) program. The objective function considered is the volume of the steel bars. The constraints for optimum design are the design limits, such as the axial force strength, maximum slenderness, minimum thickness, allowable deflection and ratio of the external diameter to thickness of the circular tube bars.

  • In this study, the sizing and performance analysis program is developed for the canard rotor wing(CRW) aircraft which operates in dual modes (fixed wing mode and rotary wing mode). The developed program is verified for both fixed wing and rotary wing modes using the existing aircraft data and the design optimization formulation is made to perform the reconnaissance mission. For the canard rotor wing aircraft optimization , multi-objective function is constructed to consider both the fixed wing mode and rotary wing mode the weighting factor. For six design cases with different weighting factors and different design constraints, the optimization is performed and improved rotor design results are derived.

A Method for Pedestrian Accident Reconstruction Using Optimization (최적화방법을 이용한 보행자 충돌사고 재현기법 개발)

  • As the number of pedestrian accident increases, the reconstruction of an accident becomes important to find the source of the fault. Generally, accidents are reconstructed by the intuition of experts or primitive physics. A reconstruction method is proposed using sophisticated optimization technology. At first, a dynamic simulation model is established for the accident environment. Occupant analysis for automobile crashworthiness is employed. The situation before an accident is identified by optimization. The impact velocity and the position of the pedestrian are utilized as design variables. The design variables are found by minimizing the difference between the simulation and the real accident. The optimization process is performed by linking an occupant analysis program MADYMO to an optimization program VisualDOC. Since the involved analysis is dynamics and highly nonlinear, response surface method is selected for the optimization process. Problems are solved for various situations.
