Hydrothermal Synthesis of Smectite from Dickite (딕카이트로부터 스멕라이트의 수열합성)

  • A hydrothermal process was used to synthesize dioctahedral smectite from dickite [$A1_2$$Si_2$$O_{5}$ $(OH)_4$], Dickite was previously activated by heating at $800^{\circ}C$ far 4 hours with $Na_2$$CO_3$. After the heat-treatment, $SiO_2$ was added for stoichiometry, The autoclaving was carried out in closed stainless steel vessel (about 1 liter) at the condition of various temperature, pressure, time etc. High quality smectite could be obtaind by heating at $290^{\circ}C$ under the pressure of 60 kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$ for 48 hours. This experiment reveals that pH of the solution was an important factor and should be maintained at 10 to 11 for the formation of dioctahedral smectite. The synthesized smectite was identified as Na-beidellite by the treatment of ethylene glycol and Greene-Kelly test.

  • Smectites were synthesized from Na-P type and Na-A type zeolites by the hydrothermal synthetic method, and their physicochemical properties were studied. The optimal synthetic conditions for producing smectite were $290^{\circ}C$, 72 hr and $75{\sim}100kgf/cm^2$ in autogenous pressure. pHs of initial reaction solutions for the synthesis of smectites from Na-P type and Na-A type zeolite s were pH 6 and pH 10, respectively. The synthetic smectite was confirmed as $12{\AA}$-beidellite by a series of analysis such as X-ray diffraction analysis with random and oriented mounts, ethylene glycol treatment, and Greene-Kelly test, and their several physicochemical properties were studied.

  • In this paper, a heuristic procedure is presented which first determines the positions of adding storage tank. Then a nonlinear programming is formulated to obtain their optimum size. Flexible utilization(shared equipment) of storage tank is suggested. The effectiveness of this method is verified by solving two literature problems.

  • 회로해석은 전자장치의 기본이되는 것이며 장치가 정교할수록 회로도 복잡해지며 근래에는 IC와 스위칭 이론의 발달로인해서 회로해석 및 설계법도 점차당양화하고 있다. 그러나 설계방법의 기초는 불변한 것이며 따라서 설계자는 Dalington, Cauer등의 고전적 합성법으로부터 오차설계 최적설계에 이르기까지 광법위한 것을 숙비해야 할 것이다. 최적화설계에 대해서는 본지에서는 상세히 다루지 않았다.

Application of linearization method for large-scale structure optimizations (구조물 최적화를 위한 선형화 기법)

  • The linerization method as one of the recursive quadratic programming method is applied for the optimal design of a large-scale structure supported by Pshenichny's proof of global convergence of the algorithm and convergence rate estimates. The linearization method transforms all constants of the design problem into an equivalent linearized constraint and employs the active-set strategy. This results in substantial computational savings by reducing the number of sate and adjoint to be solved at every design iteration. The illustrative example of plates with beams supported by columns is the typical one of a large-scale structure to give successful optimum solutions with satisfactory convergence criteria. Hopefully, the method may be applicable to all classes of optimization problems.

  • It has known that the DCMP(Directionally Constrained Minimization of power)and the ZF(Zero Forcing) can improve the SINR performance of an array antenna system by using spatial signature of wireless channel. This paper analyzes performance of DCMP and ZF in multiple scattering environments. To obtain the spatial signature of wireless channel. bothe DOA(Directional of Arrival) and AS(Angular Spread) of the received signals were estimated by using ESPRIT. The performance of the DCMP and the ZF was analyzed theoretically. Through computer simulation, the SINR performance were evaluated.

Production of Fructooligosaccharides by an Amyloglucosidase (Amyloglucosidase에 의한 Fructooligosaccharides의 생산)

  • A new method of fructooligosaccharides production was investigated by an amyloglucosidase using sucrose as a substrate. Optimum reaction conditions were as follows: sucrose concentration, 700g/$\ell$; pH 5.5; temperature, $55^{\circ}C$; enzyme dosage, 48 units per gram sucrose. At the optimized reaction conditions, 41.5% of fructooligosaccharides were produced after 25 hours. A hydrolyzing activity was stronger than transfructosylting activity at low sucrose concentrations, resulting in low production rate of fructooligosaccharides. The optimum pH and temperature in both transfructosylating(pH 5.5, $60^{\circ}C$) and hydrolyzing activity(pH$4.75^{\circ}C$)were significantly different from each other. The amyloglucosidase also utilized fructooligosaccharides as a substrate and glucose seemed to be an inhibitor.

  • In this paper, we proposed the method of optimal wavelet selection and wavelet expansion of AR(autoregressive) parameters by selected wavelet using F-test. A cost function is introduced as a wavelet selection method. Using this cost function, wavelets (D4 to D20) are tested to the synthesized signal. With this selected wavelet, we get the wavelet coefficients of AR parameters to both synthesized signal and real speech signal. To evaluate the proposed method, this wavelet based algorithm is compared with the Kalman filering algorithm. As a results, the proposed method shows a better performance by about 5-10dB than the Kalman filter.

  • This paper presents an investigation on behavior of a simplified composite I-beam bridge(SCIB) based on Korea Bridge Design Specifications(2005). Simple and continuous span SCIBs are considered to determine the design cross section. A structural analysis program, MIDAS(2006), is used to obtain the stress and deflection of the SCIB. In order to evaluate the safety of the design cross section, three-dimensional analysis is performed using ABAQUS(2007). According to the verification results from stresses and deflections of the design section, the new composite bridge are safely used for developments of reasonable and economic SCIB.

A Proposal of Unit Hydrograph Using Statistical Analysis in Oaedo Stream, Jeju (통계적 기법을 적용한 외도천의 단위유량도 제안)

  • 최근 제주도는 극한사상의 기상발생빈도가 점차 증가하여 집중호우, 태풍 등에 의한 홍수피해가 점자 증가하고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 지역특성에 적합한 단위유랴도 산정은 실제 하천설계 및 치수방재를 위해 필수적이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 외도천유역의 유역특성을 반영한 최적 단위유량도를 산정하기 위해 강우-유출모형은 HEC-HMS모형을 이용하였으며 적용한 단위도는 Clark, Sndyer, SCS 합성단위유량도법으로 각 사상마다 실측 유량자료와 비교 분석하였다. 일원분산분석 결과는 각 단위도의 첨두유량과 첨두시간에 대한 p-value가 유의수준 0.05보다 크기 때문에 귀무가설이 성립이 되며 각 단위유량도의 방법별 첨두유량 및 첨두 시간의 유의적 차이는 없다고 분석되었다. 오차율로 비교하면 Clark 합성단위도가 대상유역인 외도천의 유역특성을 가장 잘 반영하는 것으로 판단되며 Clark 단위유량도의 오차율은 0.02 ~ 1.93%로 타나났으며 첨두시간에 대한 오차율은 0 ~ 2.74%으로 나타났다. 향후 홍수유출량 산정하기 위해 장기간 지속적으로 유량관측자료 확보 및 구축이 필요하며, 이러한 제주형 유도식 개발 및 최적의 매개변수와 단위도를 적용한다면 신뢰도 높은 유출 특성 결과를 도출 할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
