Performance of photovoltaic (PV) generator systems relies on its operating conditions. Maximum power extracted from PV generators depends strongly on solar irradiation, load impedance, and ambient temperature. A most maximum power point tracking (MPPT) algorithm is based on a perturb and observe method and an incremental conductance method. It is well known the latter is better in terms of dynamics and tracking characteristics under condition of rapidly changing solar irradiation. However, in case of digital implementation, the latter has some error for determining a maximum power point. This paper presents a PID based MPPT algorithm for such PV systems. We use neural network technique for determining PID parameters by online learning approach. And we construct a boost converter to regulate the output voltage from PV generator system. Computer simulation is carried out to evaluate the proposed MPPT method and we accomplish comparative study with a perturb and observe based MPPT method to prove its superiority.

In photovoltaic system, the characteristics of photovoltaic module such as open circuit voltage and short circuit current will be changed because of cell temperature and solar radiation. Therefore, the boost converter of a PV system connects between the output of photovoltaic system and DC link capacitor of grid connected inverter as controlling duty ratio for maximum power point tracking(MPPT). This paper shows the dynamic characteristics of the boost converter by comparing single-loop and two-loop control algorithm using both analog and digital control. Both proposed compensation methods have been verified with computer simulation to demonstrate the validity of the proposed control schemes.

In recent years, the electromagnetic enviroments are varied with the increase of power consumption and the spread of hoosehold electric appliances. Most of the interests to date have concentrated in the area of human health effects associated with exposure to power frequency electric and rmgretic fields, and thus the precise measurement and analysis are required. In this paper, the measurements and analysis of the extremdy low frequency(ElF) electric and magnetic fields produced by actual 22.9[kV] distribution lines were performed. The experiIrents have been carried rot by lateral rrofile, and the thooretical analyses were made by use of FIELDS program fer the sake of comparison with the experimental data. Electric and magnetic field intensity were strong under power distrib.rticn lines, and were inversely proportional to lateral distance. The pufiles of electric and magnetic fields were M and $\bigcap$ shapes, respectively. and the rreasured data were good in agreemnt with the thooretical results. Both the electric and magnetic field intensity were iocreased with increasing the measurement height.height.

An analysis of the main factors and its degree of impact on power production is performed against the landfill gas power plant in S landfill site. The number of normal operation (50 MWh & 24 hr) days was 70.9% to the total number of operation days from 2007 to 2014, and the percentage of the actual power production was 79.3% of 3,428,400 MW which is the theoretical maximum estimation. The ratio of factors that accounted for the efficiency of power production are: 44.0% of repairing of the defect and regular servicing, 37.4% of cut-down operation due to hydrogen sulfide, and 18.6% of air pre-heater washing, respectively. Yet, considering that the cut-down operation due to hydrogen sulfide was carried out for only two years, the high concentration of hydrogen sulfide was the most influential factors on landfill gas power production. The long-term power production was analyzed as 35.9 MWh in 2018, and the constant drop is anticipated, resulting in 16.6 MWh by 2028, and under 8.4 MWh in 2038.

as the smartphone industry developed, the smartphone's internal hardware devices have become high-end devices and it requires more power consumption than the previous one. therefore a battery of high capacity needed, but there is a limit in order to equip a large battery on account of smartphone minimization. The Linux Kernel provides the DVFS Mechanism to compensate for these limitations by software techniques. DVFS is dynamically adjust the frequency of the CPU to reduce the power consumption of the CPU. ondemand governor, the default policy in DVFS, apply the maximum frequency of the CPU whenever exceeding the up_threshold. so it result in a waste of CPU resources. by paying attention to this point, this paper propose the mechanism that maintain a high CPU utilization in proportion to the current frequency of the cpu to prevent the waste of CPU resources and conserve energy.

This paper is analyzing the SoC policy of major nations as the U.S, Japan, Europe, Taiwan, China and draw the suggestions for the development of semiconductor industry in Korea. SoC is the non-memory semiconductor to support and put into action the function of system. SoC is big market over the 200billion dollars and have a huge potential for new IT convergence market. Developed countries as the US, Japan, and Europe have enforced the industrial competitiveness by company investment and Taiwan supported the SoC Industry by government fund. Korea is No.1 superpower in DRAM semiconductor, but very weak in SoC Industry. We should secure the competitiveness of SoC Industry by the development of core technology, planning the growth policy, and building the cooperative model to leap the SoC power nation.

A modified Chebyshev lowpass filter function with progressively diminishing ripples in the passband is proposed and analyzed in the frequency domain. Owing to the diminishing ripples, the passband magnitude characteristic of the proposed Chebyshev function has improved compared to the classical Chebyshev function. In addition, the phase characteristics of the proposed Chebyshev function were improved considerably compared to that of the Chebyshev function, and the time delay of the proposed function was much simpler and flatter. In addition, the proposed Chebyshev filter was realizable by the passive doubly terminated ladder network delivering maximum power transfer for the order n, even or odd, thus making themselves amenable to low-sensitivity active RC or switched capacitor filters through the simulation techniques. To verify the proposed Chebyshev filter characteristics, a 6th order passive doubly terminated ladder lowpass filter was designed and analyzed using the MATLAB and SPICE program. Thus, the proposed Chebyshev function can remove the drawbacks of the classical Chebyshev function and could be applicable to the design of a filter with an improved filter size, phase, and time delay characteristics for various signal processing.
Neuromorphic architecture is drawing attention as a next-generation computing that supports artificial intelligence technology with low energy. However, FPGA embedded boards based on Neuromorphic architecturehave limited resources due to size and power. In this paper, we compared and evaluated the image reduction method using the interpolation method that rescales the size without considering the feature points and the DCT (Discrete Cosine Transform) method that preserves the feature points as much as possible based on energy. The scaled images were compared and analyzed for accuracy through CNN (Convolutional Neural Networks) in a PC environment and in the Nengo framework of an FPGA embedded board.. As a result of the experiment, DCT based classification showed about 1.9% higher performance than that of interpolation representation in both CNN and FPGA nengo environments. Based on the experimental results, when the DCT method is used in a limited resource environment such as an embedded board, a lot of resources are allocated to the expression of neurons used for classification, and the recognition rate is expected to increase.
This study aims to examine the electricity/energy regime of Thailand, the largest energy-hungry country in the Mekong region. This study examined how the electricity/energy regime of Thailand has been shaped and changed up to the present, not only at the national level but also at the sub-regional level covering the Mekong region. Meanwhile, according to the Paris Agreement in 2015, which will get in to effect from 2020, developing countries as well as developed countries have been given voluntary responsibilities and reduction obligations in response to global climate change. Under the post 2020 Climate Change Regime, Thailand also needs to revise its existing electricity/energy policy. We reviewed the recent energy policy of Thailand and evaluated the possibility of transition to a sustainable energy system based on Energy Trilemma's analysis framework. And we examined the roles and impacts of the Thai civil society on the national power and energy planning as well as in the future climate change policy. As a result of the analysis, it can be seen that Thailand's electricity/energy regime has grown rapidly through the support of the West countries under the Cold War era. In particular, Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand(EGAT) played the key role in Thailand's energy policy. In addition, Thailand's geopolitical location and relatively high economic level compared to neighboring countries will continue to be of importance in the future construction of power grids in the region. Meanwhile, in the frame of Energy Trilemma, Thailand has still been vulnerable to environmental sustainability. Thai NGOs have resisted to as well as collaborated with the government to influence the existing electricity/energy policy in the various dimensions but their influence has weakened considerably since the coup in 2014. In conclusion, this study suggests to cooperate with government as well as civil society for sustainable energy transformation of Thailand and Mekong region.

A GPS receiving antenna installed in the missile's warhead is designed and fabricated at a center frequency 1.575 GHz. The circular shaped antenna is installed in the middle of the warhead where the antenna's patch and the ground plane are connected with a hollow cylindrical shaped short pin. Using the dual feeding and phase difference method, an omni-directional radiation pattern which direction is normal to the missile's axis(H-plane) is obtained. The optimized diameters of the circular patch and the cylindrical ring typed shorting pin of the GPS receiving antenna which use the FR4.material(dielectric constant $\varepsilon_r=4.6$) are 59.5 mm and 14 mm, respectively. The cylindrical body with diameter 100 mm and height 500 mm is attached to the lower part of the warhead in order to complete the missile figure. The radiation patterns are measured by changing the angle and phase between the dual feeding points. When the phase difference of dual feeding is $100^{\circ}$ and the angle between the dual feeding points is $100^{\circ}$, the nearly omni-directional radiation pattern in the H-plane is obtained. In this case, the antenna gain is -5.55 dBd and the relative level difference between the maximum and the minimum radiation intensity is 3.98 dB.
