In this paper, we propose a method for controlling camera focus in the short distance by analyzing NTSC signal of a CCD camera. When the distance between a camera and an object is less than about 1 meter, the existing CCD cameras with auto-focusing function are hard to acquire the proper images because they focus on the protruding minute parts ofthe object without taking into account the whole state of the object. To solve such a problem, we use an annealing algorithm to control the motor of a camera by analyzing the overall signal obtained from the camera. By doing so, we can acquire the adequate images at the near distance. The proposed method will be used for a personal identification system by human iris patterns.

3D image mosaicking is useful for 3D visualization of the roadside scene of urban area by projecting 2D images to the 3D planes. When a sequence of images are filmed from a side-looking video camera passing long distance areas, the ghost effect in which same objects appear repeatively occurs. To suppress such ghost effect, the long distance range areas are detected by using the distance between the image frame and the 3D coordinate of tracked optical flows. The ghost effects are suppressed by projecting the part of image frames onto 3D multiple planes utilizing vectors passing the focal point of frames and a virtual focal point. The virtual focal point is calculated by utilizing the first and last frames of the long distance range areas. We demonstrate algorithm that creates efficient 3D Panoramic mosaics without the ghost effect at the long distance area.

This study aims to explore the effects of deductive FFI and inductive FFI in L2 learners' grammatical achievement and their reaction to the grammar instruction. 84 students were placed into three groups: 29 given deductive FFI(DG), 28 receiving inductive FFI(IG), and 27 with traditional instruction(CG). All students completed pre/post tests and questionnaires, and took a delayed post test 9 weeks after the treatment. For statistical anlayses of all the quantitative data, a one-way ANOVA, paired samples T-test, and repeated measures ANOVA were performed. The results indicated that both deductive and inductive FFI affected learners' grammatical achievement and their achievement was sustained over time. Deductive FFI was more effective than inductive FFI, whereas the IG students more positively changed their attitudes and perceptions to the grammar instruction. These findings of the study imply that FFI should be valued in an Korean EFL classroom, which would contribute to further longitudinal research for its sustainability.

본 연구에서는 압전형 쇄석기에 의한 충격파 조사시에 초점위치 및 파쇄정도에 따른 파쇄대상물의 진동과 그 때 들려오는 방사음과의 관계에 대하여 검토해 본 시뮬레이션 결과를 제시한다. 아울러 동일한 실험을 파쇄가능한 대상물에 시행하여 진동과 파쇄효율과의 관계에 대해서도 실험적으로 검토한다. 최종적으로 압전형 쇄석기로 충격파를 대상물에 조사할 때, 충격시의 방사음과 대상물의 진동 및 그것에 따른 파쇄효율의 전체적인 상관성에 대하여 고찰한다.

The purpose of this paper is to examine the effect of entrepreneurial self-efficacy on entrepreneurial intention. Further, the paper aims to study the moderating effect of regulatory focus in the relationship between entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intention. As per regulatory focus theory, individuals have different goal attainment approaches and underlying motivations; this posits two distinct orientations: promotion focus and prevention focus. Consequently, we hypothesize that the effect of entrepreneurial self-efficacy on entrepreneurial intention would differ depending on the individual's regulatory focus, either promotion or prevention. In order to test the hypotheses, we select a random sample of 494 entrepreneurship students at six universities across the country. The analysis includes a survey of 309 students. The results indicate that students' entrepreneurial self-efficacy has a positive effect on their intention to become entrepreneurs. Further, regulatory focus moderates the relationship between entrepreneurial self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intention. Specifically, the impact of entrepreneurial self-efficacy on entrepreneurial intention is greater in promotion-focused students than in prevention-focused students. The results highlight the need for education methodology that enhances students' entrepreneurial self-efficacy and specialized entrepreneurship education for prevention-focused students.

People tend to overestimate their emotional reactions to events such as physical handicap and buying a new car in the future. Students overestimate their reactions to a future grade as compared to their reactions after receiving the grade. Impact bias refers to people's tendency to overestimate the intensity and the duration of emotional reactions to a future event. The present study explored whether impact bias occurs to risky objects such as nuclear energy, genetically engineered food, and mobile phone. Participants were asked to predict their emotional reactions at three time points, that is, at the present, a week after, and a year after. They predicted their reactions before and after two debiasing tasks. The present study demonstrated a different pattern of impact bias at three time points: A largest bias was observed a week after the present. A defocalism manipulation has eliminated the impact bias whereas an adaptation manipulation has not. Several points were discussed regarding the difference between the previous and the present work.

본 연구는 노부모와 자녀세대와의 거주형태에 초점을 맞추어 노인의 거주현황 및 지향하는 거주형태, 가족과의 관계, 주환경에 관한 문제점등을 검토 분석함으로서, 다가오는 고령사회에 대응할 수 있는 주환경 정비를 위한 기초적인 자료의 제공을 목적으로 하였다. 본 연구대상은 광주광역시 및 인근지역에 거주하고 있는 60세이상의 남녀노인으로 하였으며, 260부의 자기보고식 설문지를 배부하여 212부를 분석대상으로 하였다.

The purpose of this study was to explore the dysfunctional effects of job crafting by examining (1) the sequential dual mediating effect of work-related sense of coherence (Work-SoC) and job strain on the relationship between two dimensions of job crafting (i.e., promotion focus & prevention focus) and turnover intentions, and (2) the moderating effect of supervisor support in the relationship between each focus and Work-SoC. A total of 293 employees working at various companies in Korea participated in an online survey. The results showed that promotion-focus job crafting had a direct negative effect on turnover intention, while prevention-focus job crafting had a direct positive effect. Both promotion- and prevention-focus job crafting also had indirect effects on turnover intention by partially mediating Work-SoC and job strain. Supervisor support had a moderating effect on the relationship between prevention-focus job crafting and Work-SoC, weakening the negative effect of prevention focus on Work-SoC. The implications and future directions are discussed on the basis of the results.
