An Artificial Intelligence Education Program Development and Application for Elementary Teachers (초등 교사들을 위한 인공지능 교육 프로그램 개발 및 적용)

  • Rapid changes in the knowledge and information society of the 21st century should be embraced and applied to teachers. Since artificial intelligence(AI) is an important axis of rapid change, artificial intelligence education should be started from elementary school. This change requires elementary school teachers to have basic skills for AI education. In this study, an AI education program for elementary school teachers is developed. This development consists of three stages, the first stage is the understanding of artificial intelligence, the second stage is the understanding and application of artificial intelligence tools, and the final stage is the creation and application of artificial intelligence programs. 15 elementary school teachers were tested. The result of this study will be a useful educational program for teachers in charge of AI education in elementary school students.

  • 스크래치는 교육용 프로그래밍 언어 중 하나로 풍부한 멀티미디어 프로그래밍 환경과 쉽고 흥미로운 사용자 인터페이스를 제공한다. 또한 한국어를 지원하고 있어 초등학교 학습자들의 프로그래밍 교육에 유용하게 활용될 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 스크래치 프로그래밍을 초등학교 4학년 학생들에게 적용하여 자신에게 주어진 문제 상황을 이해하고 창의적 요소를 익히면서 문제를 해결해 나가게 된다. 이를 위해 스크래치에서 초등학생에게 적용할 수 있는 교육요소를 추출하고 관련 주제로 통합하여 실제 현장에서 사용이 가능한 스크래치 프로그래밍 교육 자료를 개발하고자 한다.

Teachers' Recognition on the Optimization of the Educational Contents of Clothing and Textiles in Practical Arts or Technology.Home Economics (실과 및 기술.가정 교과에서 의생활 교육내용의 적정성에 대한 교사의 인식)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the teachers' recognition on the optimization of the educational contents of Clothing & Textiles in subjects of :he Practical Arts or the Technology & Home Economics in the course of elementary, middle and high schools. The statistical data for this research were collected from 203 questionnaires of teachers who work on elementary, middle and high schools. Mean. standard deviation, percentage were calculated using SPSS/WIN 12.0 program. Also. these materials were verified by t-test, One-way ANOVA and post verification Duncan. The results were as follows; First, The equipment ratio of practice laboratory were about 24% and very poor in elementary schools but those of middle and high school were 97% and 78% each and higher than elementary schools. Second, More than 50% of teachers recognized the amount of learning 'proper'. The elementary school teachers recognized the mount of learning in 'operating sewing machines' too heavy especially, the same as middle school teachers in 'making shorts': the same as high school teachers in 'making tablecloth and curtain' and 'making pillow cover or bag'. Third, All of the elementary, middle and high school teachers recognized the levels of total contents of clothing and textiles 'common'. The 80% of elementary school teachers recognized 'operating sewing machines' and 'making cushions' difficult especially. The same as middle school teachers in 'hand knitting handbag by crochet hoop needle', 'the various kinds of cloth' and 'making short pants'. The same as high school teachers in 'making tablecloth or curtain'. Fourth, Elementary school teachers recognized 'practicing basic hand needlework' and 'making pouch using hand needlework' important in the degree of educational contents importance. Middle school teachers recognized 'making short pants unimportant. High school teachers considered the contents focusing on practice such as 'making tablecloth and curtain' and 'making pillow cover or bags' unimportant. My suggestions were as follows; Both laboratories and facilities for practice should be established for making clothing and textiles lessons effective in Practical Arts in elementary schools. The 'operating sewing machines' which were considered difficult should be dealt in upper grade, re-conditioning to easier or omitted. The practical contents should be changed to student-activity-oriented and should be recomposed in order to familiar with students' living. It was needed to various and sufficient supports for increasing the teachers' practical abilities.

  • 컴퓨터와 정보통신 기술의 급속한 발달은 우리의 가정과 학교생활뿐만 아니라 정치, 경제, 문화등 사회 전반에 많은 변화를 가져왔다. 그러나 이러한 고도로 발달된 정보통신 기술은 순기능 못지않게 많은 역기능을 가지고 있다. 이러한 정보화 사회를 맞이하여 점점 늘어나는 사이버 공간에서의 윤리적 문제를 해결하고 예방하기 위해 초등학교 학생 및, 학부모의 정보퉁신 윤리의식을 살펴보고, 현재 초등학교에서 이루어지고 있는 정보통신윤리 교육의 내용과 지도실태를 조사하였다. 그 결과를 토대로 초등학교 정보통신 윤리교육의 문제점을 분석하고 개선방안을 강구하여, 정보통신윤리의식의 함양을 위한 바람직한 방향을 제시하고자 한다.

  • 초등학교 학습자를 대상으로 컴퓨터 과학의 원리를 가르치기 위하여 EPL, 로봇프로그래밍, Unplugged Project 등 다양한 시도가 이루어지고 있다. 또한 로봇을 활용한 경진대회, 창의 대회 등 교육과정 외적인 부분에서도 활성화되고 있는 추세이다. 하지만 대부분의 로봇, 공학 경진대회는 특정 로봇의 기능 및 사용법, 흥미 위주의 획일적인 내용을 벗어나고 있지 못한 실정이며, 통합적 접근을 했던 기존의 프로그램들은 창의적 문제해결을 목적으로 여러 학문의 융합, 통합을 주장하고 있다. 본 연구에서의 통합은 초등 학습자의 학습으로의 보다 본질적인 접근이 필요하며, 교육과정 전반에 걸친 폭넓은 학습 활동 측면에서 프로그래밍(로봇)의 통합의 필요성을 주장하고 있다. 이제는 프로그래밍(로봇) 학습이 왜 통합 학습으로 교육과정 상에 녹아 들어가야 하는지에 관한 본질적인 논의가 이루어져야 할 시점으로 생각된다. 이 논문의 본문은 크게 두 부분으로 이루어져 있는데 첫째, 초등학교 로봇프로그래밍 교육을 통합적 관점으로 접근했던 기존의 프로그램의 사례를 살펴볼 것이며, 둘째, 초등학교 학습자에게 통합이 어떠한 의미인지를 고찰해 볼 것이다.

  • 본 연구는 초등학교 컴퓨터 교과의 제재를 주제로 한 웹 기반 프로젝트 학습을 설계하는데 목적이 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구에서는 프로젝트 학습과 웹 기반 프로젝트 학습에 대한 제이론을 고찰하고 이를 바탕으로 웹 기반 프로젝트 학습 모형을 설계하여 초등학교 컴퓨터 교과의 주제를 중심으로 웹 기반 프로젝트 학습을 설계하였다. 설계 단원은 초등학교 6학년 컴퓨터 교과(재량교과)의 '정보의 이해와 윤리', '컴퓨터 기초', '소프트웨어의 활용' 영역을 예비 학습으로 학습하고, 주제별로 그룹별 프로젝트 활동을 함으로써 학습자 중심의 학습이 가능하도록 하였다.

  • 본 연구는 프로그래밍의 기초 개념과 프로그램 작성 전 매우 중요한 비중을 차지하는 순서도를 활용하여 초등학교 학생에게 적합한 프로그래밍 기초학습 내용을 선정하고 협력학습을 통한 프로그래밍 기초 학습 수업을 설계하여 성취도에 대한 영향을 분석함으로 초등학교 학생들의 체계적인 프로그래밍 학습 방법을 모색하여 초등학교에서의 적합한 프로그래밍 교육 과정의 일부를 제시하고자 하였다.

  • Much of our lives are closely related to artificial intelligence, and society is changing more rapidly. Reflecting this era, the need for artificial intelligence education has emerged and various learning methods have been proposed, but guidance on artificial intelligence teaching and learning activities for lower grades elementary school students is insufficient. Therefore, in this study, the data collection education program for the lower grades of elementary school was developed based on the contents standards of the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science & Creativity. Focusing on the principles of artificial intelligence and the detailed data area of the utilization area, the focus was on expressing numbers and letters in various ways, such as colors and pictures, and finding various types of data in life to learn the principles of artificial intelligence. Through this program, it is expected that lower-grade elementary school students will be able to understand the importance of data collection in artificial intelligence through the process of knowing about data and collecting sound, picture, and text data.

An Analysis on the 2011 Elementary School Mathematics Curriculum Compared to the 2007 Elementary School Mathematics Curriculum with a Focus on Changes in Learning Topics (2007 초등수학과 교육과정과 2011 초등수학과 교육과정의 비교.분석: 변화 내용을 중심으로)

  • In this study, the 2011 elementary school mathematics curriculum was analyzed compared to the 2007 elementary school mathematics curriculum with a focus on changes in specified learning topics. First, the topics which are dealt with in the 2011 curriculum were critically discussed. Second, prominent features which can be found in learning topics in 2011 curriculum were found. The following three conclusions which can be obtained from above analyzed results were presented. First, system for curriculum development is necessary to supplement. The process of draft development for public hearing and final curriculum development is not exposed anywhere. It is necessary to clean up and disclose this process in order to study and develop next curriculum. Second, it is necessary to modify the way of stating in curriculum. it is necessary to specify and use the expressions to some extent the meaning of which are not sufficiently established and the meaning of which are ambiguous. Third, the achievement standards set by 2011 curriculum needs to be consistent. The principles for stating achievement standards are necessary. it is necessary to review the link between elementary and middle school curriculum is well-made.

A GIS-Based Public Health-Geographical Analysis of Oral Health Programs for Primary School Students (학교구강보건사업의 보건지리학적 분석을 위한 지리정보체계의 활용)

  • The objective of this research is to compare and analyze regional accessibility of Korean primary school students to oral health services from the perspective of public health geography by using geographic information system in which the choropleth map has been regarded as the most popular method. Statistical proximity on the basis of calculus of 205 regions-based school oral health data is optimized to set five class intervals for five maps. These choropleth maps of oral heal programs such as oral health education, tooth-brushing method education, preventive dental care and curative dental care, demonstrate that there exist wide regional discrepancies throughout the country in terms of primary school students' accessibility to oral health services within the programs. The paper not just contributes to overcoming the existing paradigm by actively considering an interdisciplinary research among public health dentistry, dental hygiene and geography of public health, but provides clear evidence for national oral health policy in South Korea.
