  • The purpose of this study is to identify the factors influencing conflict transition through the conflict transition process experienced by college graduates with early careers. The participants of this study were in-depth interviews with a total of 8 young people aged 25-34 who graduated from college and found their common subjects in all cases. As a result, the topics such as 'lack of recognition and compensation', 'unfairness of supervisor', 'characteristics of job (interdependence, autonomy)' were derived. 'Lack of recognition and compensation' brought about a sense of skepticism about the idea that even though they worked hard, they could not be recognized. And it caused a conflict transition. When the participants felt the 'unfairness of the supervisor', the task conflicts were further amplified and it transfer to relationship conflict. Among the characteristics of 'job characteristics', when highly interdependent occupations were carried out, conflict transition was shown and conflict levels were high. On the other hand, the work environment with job autonomy showed job satisfaction and did not show conflict transition. This study has an academic significance in that it revealed the types of conflicts and conflict transfer factors experienced in early career status of college graduates. In addition, this research have the practical implications to improves the participants' understanding of the conflict transfer through actual scene in the workplace.

  • Line source model is commonly used in analyzing the data obtained from thermal response test to estimate the effective soil formation thermal conductivity. In the application of line source model some part of initial data must be ignored in order to achieve more accurate result. The period of time for this initial data is called initial ignoring time(IIT) in this paper. However there has been no definite rule in determining this initial ignoring time. Therefore line source model requires experienced analyzer to select the useful data, which is somewhat subjective. One method often suggested is the calculation of IIT with non dimensional time $\tau=5$. However, this is a very theoretical result derived from a system of perfect line source model, which is somewhat different from the real system. A new method to determine IIT is presented in this study. This method requires error estimation first and IIT can be decided from the results of error estimation. This method is applied in the analysis of field test data and shows better result than the one obtained from the method using non dimensional time mentioned above as shown in Table 2.

  • The purpose of this study is to learn about the life style change experience of undergraduate due to COVID-19. The study was conducted from March 23, 2020 to March 30, 2020 and was conducted on five undergraduate residing in Jeonju. We valued individual's subjective experiences and analyzed them by applying on of the qualitative studies to identify and describe the phenomena as they are. The study found that the lifestyle changes of undergraduate due to COVID-19 were derived from three components: Psychological change, Environmental change, and Behavioral change. Though the participants felt uneasy and terrified by COVID-19 through the experience of psychological change, they expressed relief and anticipation for the increase in the number of complete healers. Experience of environmental change has experienced social distance, changes in academic operation, and difficulty in finding jobs to prevent infection. Behavioral changes have experienced a matrix of mask purchases and thorough management of personal hygiene, which is considered to protect oneself from COVID-19 while also being considerate to others. It is believed that the government will need to provide psychological and behavioral mediation programs for problems arising from the practice of social distance.

  • Smart speaker is a device that provides an interactive voice-based service that can search and use various information and contents such as music, calendar, weather, and merchandise using artificial intelligence. Since AI technology provides more sophisticated and optimized services to users by accumulating data, early smart speaker manufacturers tried to build a platform through aggressive marketing. However, the frequency of using smart speakers is less than once a month, accounting for more than one third of the total, and user satisfaction is only 49%. Accordingly, the necessity of strengthening the user experience of smart speakers has emerged in order to acquire a large number of users and to enable continuous use. Therefore, this study analyzes the user experience of the smart speaker and proposes a method for enhancing the user experience of the smart speaker. Based on the analysis results in two stages, we propose ways to enhance the user experience of smart speakers by model. The existing research on the user experience of the smart speaker was mainly conducted by survey and interview-based research, whereas this study collected the actual review data written by the user. Also, this study interpreted the analysis result based on the smart speaker user experience dimension. There is an academic significance in interpreting the text mining results by developing the smart speaker user experience dimension. Based on the results of this study, we can suggest strategies for enhancing the user experience to smart speaker manufacturers.

  • As the need for more variety of interactive media grows, alternative interaction methods beyond conventional ones such as mice and keyboards are vigorously explored recently. In particular, these new approaches are getting attentions because they can enhance the user experiences in the interaction. Howerver, since they are case-dependent and specific, it still becomes crucial to consider and evaluate the effects and possibilities of interactions. The study aims to explore the ways to design the interactions by applying Behavioral Prototyping Methods in the initial stage of design development, which it calls 'Interactive Prototyping Method'. With the case project, 'Shadow Theater', which is an interactive installation for children, children can play and participate in interactive story-making by wearing hand puppets, casting shadows of hand puppets, and interacting with virtual objects on screen. To explore and design the interactions of Shadow Theater at the initial design process, the study builds an interactive prototype which borrows puppet theater settings and lets children play with hand puppets and other objects. The session of user try-outs with the prototype help to understand what and how they interact with virtual objects, and to improve the interactions.

  • Students are exposed to a concept of tangent from a specific context of the relation between a circle and straight lines at the 7th grade. This initial experience might cause epistemological obstacles regarding learning concepts of tangent to additional curves. The paper provides a method of how to introduce a series of concepts of tangent in order to lead students to revise and improve the concept of tangent which they have. As students have chance to reflect and revise a series of concepts of tangent step by step, they realize the facts that the properties such as 'meeting the curve at one point' and 'touching but not cutting the curve' may be regarded as the proper definition of tangent in some limited contexts but are not essential in more general contexts. And finally students can grasp and appreciate that concept of tangent as the limit of secants and the relation between tangent and derivative.

  • Radial collector wells have been widely used for large-capacity groundwater development in riparian environments, and many empirical equations have been developed for initial estimates of groundwater yield. We compare the initial yield estimates produced by several empirical equations for the radial collector well at the Anseongcheon stream site. The results of Babac's, Kordas', and Petrovic's methods are similar to the actual yield of $6,124m^3/d$, but Milojevic's method predicts a higher yield than the observed value. The conditions under which these methods are applicable explain the observed differences between the actual and estimated yields. The applicability of empirical equations is evaluated by changing the input variables of distance from well to river, number of horizontal wells, thickness of aquifer, length of horizontal well, and hydraulic conductivity. The results indicate that the conditions under which each method is applicable must be considered carefully when estimating groundwater yield, and hydraulic conductivity must be estimated accurately.

First, expert system shell called E.1 is developed in C language. E.1 supports backward-chaining, automatic iteration procedure and reiterative inference mechanism for efficient application of knowledge-based system in structural design. Knowledge representation in E.1 includes IF-THEN rules, 'facts'and 'tables'. Second, knowledge bases for the principal particulars and midship section design are developed by experimental formula, design standard and experiential knowlege. Third, hybrid system combined this knowledge-based system with the optimization program of midship section is developed. Finally, the simplified design method utilizing the regression analysis of the optimum results of stiffened plate is developed for facilitating the design process. Using this knowledge-based system, the design process and results for Bulk carrier and stiffened plates are discussed. It is concluded that knowledge-based system is efficient for preliminary design and midship section design of the ship. It is expected that the performance of the CAD system would be enhanced if the better knowledge-base is accumulated in the E.1 tool.
