Single photon detector technologies have emerged as powerful tools in optical quantum information applications such as quantum communication, quantum information, and integrated quantum photonics. Owing to significant attempts in the previous decade at improving photon-counting detectors, several single photon detectors with high efficiency and low noise have been realized within the optical wavelength regime. In this paper, we provide an overview of current studies on single photon detectors operating at wavelengths from the ultraviolet to the infrared. In addition, we discuss applications of single photon detector technologies in quantum communication and integrated quantum photonics.

The high speed tilting train has superior advantages which are effects on reductions of running time to non-tilting in curves. But in order that the tilting train is operated in conventional track, it is performed evaluation on the running safety. This study carried out an analysis of running stability of tilting train in conventional curved track. The results obtained through this study will be applied to improve the conventional curved track and determine the limit velocity.

It was examined that the rheological behaviors of fly ash 70wt%-clay 30wt% slip in which nonplastic fly ash was a major component. We have systematically investigated the effects of deflocculant(Tetrasodium pyrophosphate ; Na4P2O7 nH2O Sodium silicate; Na2SiO3) and coagulant(CaSO4) on the rheological behavior of ash-clay slip. Ash-clay slip have been characterized on the basis of the time dependent rheology which was done out by the gel-curve test. Dispersion mechanism of ash-clay slip is the steric stabilization by the Na2SiO3 coating of cenospheres surface. Coagulated slip seems to have the new network structure and shows the gellation behaviors which makes it possible to direct coagulated casting(DCC).

Fly Ashes which are produced from coal-fired powder plants and classified as general waste can be used as raw materials for bricks and tiles because of their compositional similarity with clays. There was a limit of substituting fly ash for clay because plasticity decreased with increasing fly ash additions. Accordingly this study tried to suggest a feastibility of enhancing the substitution ratio by controlling the interfacial properties of fly ash. The slip with 1:1 volume ratio showed that best dispersive characteristics under the condition of pH 2 Filter pressed cakes made of pH 2 slips also showed better plastickity than those of untreated ones. of pH 2 Filter pressed cakes made of pH 2 also shwoed better plasticity than those of untreated ones.

지류문화재의 보존처리과정에서 실시되는 습식크리닝의 영향을 알아보기 위해 습식크리닝 전과 후의 물성변화를 관찰하였다. 조사방법으로 고지와 현대지 7종을 각각 습식크리닝 전과 후의 구조적, 광학적, 강도적 성질의 변화를 측정하였다. 그 결과 습식크리닝은 지류문화재의 물성변화를 일으키고 특히 안료, 먹, 염료 등의 구성성분을 약화시킬 수 있음을 확인할 수 있었다.

This paper presents a method for the load capacity assesment of reinforcement concrete deep beams using nonlinear finite element analysis. A computer program, named RCAHEST (Reinforced Concrete Analysis in Higher Evaluation System Technology), for the analysis of reinforced concrete structures was used. From the results, determine the reliability index for the failure base from the Euro Code. Then, calculated additional reduction coefficient to satisfy the goals from the reliability analysis. The proposed numerical method for the load capacity assesment of reinforced concrete deep beams is verified by comparison with the others methods

요즘 많은 사람들은 트위터를 통해 짧은 문장의 트윗을 작성하여 자신의 의견이나 생각을 표현한다. 사람들이 작성한 트윗은 사용자의 연령, 성별, 지역에 따라 다른 특성이 담겨있다. 이러한 정보를 이용하여, 기업에서는 연령대, 성별, 지역에 따라 각기 다른 마케팅 전략을 세울 수 있을 것이다. 본 논문에서는 트위터 사용자들의 트윗을 분석하여 연령대, 성별, 지역을 예측하려 한다. 네이버 오픈사전의 자질, 한국전자통신연구원(ETRI)의 개체명 사전을 이용한 자질 및 한국어 형태소 분석, 음절 단위의 bigram을 클래스별 의미 있는 자질로 선택하고 LDA를 이용하여 예측된 확률분포를 활용하여 분류한 결과, 연령 72%, 성별 75%, 지역 43%의 납득할만한 예측 정확도 결과를 얻게 되었다.

Frictional heat generates when the brake shoes are in contact with wheel tread under high pressure for EMU's speed control, stopping, and deceleration. Such a frictional heat has a significant effect on the wheel tread. In order to analyze the characteristics of frictional heat and measure the amount of the generated heat, tests by using a brake dynamometer and for running vehicles are carried out. In addition, finite element analysis is performed to simulate the temperature distribution and thermal analysis of the brake shoes. Through the tests and the simulations, it is found that the problems by temperature increase at tread braking are verified.

현재 국내에서는 상품 생산을 위한 각 공정의 업무를 통합관리 해 줄 수 있는 PLM(Product Life-cycle Management)시스템을 건설업에 도입하려는 움직임이 있으며 실제 건설 구조물에 대한 통합환경 시스템인 CPLM(Construction Product Lifecycle Management) 관련 연구를 진행 중에 있다. 통합 시스템 내에서 건설 구조물 생산을 위한 각 업무분야에서는 시스템이 추구하는 업무진행의 흐름에 맞추어 작업을 수행 할 수 있도록 하는 각자의 프로세스를 개발해야 한다. 이 연구에서는 토목구조물을 대상으로 협업환경 내에서 활용 가능한 3D 정보모델인 BIM기반의 해석 및 설계 프로세스를 구축하고 국내외 토목건설산업 분야에서 차세대 설계프로세스로 유력한 BIM기반의 구조해석 및 설계 프로세스의 실용화를 위한 기초자료를 제공함을 목적으로 하며 해석 및 설계 대상 구조물로 아치교량을 선정하여 연구를 진행하였다.

국립중앙박물관에서 개최한 특별전 『조선시대 불교회화와의 만남 -영혼의 여정-』을 준비하면서 보존처리한 조선시대 불화 "시왕도"의 손상상태와 손상원인을 조사하였다. 그리고 육안으로 확인이 쉽지 않은 부분에 대하여는 현미경, X-ray, 적외선 등의 조사도 이루어졌다. 이에 보존처리 전에 실시한 과학적인 조사결과를 소개하고 시왕도의 보존처리 과정을 정리하였다.
