  • The purpose of this study was to develop a scale for measuring obsessive compulsive and to verify structural validity from students participating in physical education class. The procedure for this purpose was firstly conducted through an open questionnaire, followed by item search and appropriateness assessment, then analyzing the reliability of the final version based on the preliminary criterion and checking the construct validity. After analyzing the factors of the criticism, We collected the data and analyzed the items and the factors from 387 respondents. The subjects were social obsession (4 items), psychological obsession (3 items) and physical obsession (3 items) The final determinant of the 10 factors was completed. We conducted A multivariate analysis on the determinants of gender and class satisfaction to confirm the external relationship review. The reliability of the scale developed in this study showed not only a high level of confidence from .856 to .907, but also reasonized and proved to be an obsessional scale for physical education for the promotion of life care. These measures can be used as a data for measuring physical education compulsion in class.

  • By applying the concept of microaggression (subtle and indirect form of discrimination), the aim of this study was to develop and validate the Everyday Gender Microaggression Scale (EGM). For this purpose, based on the results of literature review, surveys, and individual interviews, we developed 17 pilot items. Next, after expert content validation, we administered online survey to 180 adult women and conducted exploratory factor analysis. The result revealed 2 factors, 14 items, and this structure was reconfirmed through confirmatory factor analysis in another sample of 219 adult women. Convergent and concurrent validities were also examined via correlations with measures of sexism, depression, and life satisfaction. We discussed implications, ways to use the EGM, and suggestions for future research.

  • This study aimed to develop an observation scale for assessing the quality of day care programs and to examine reliability and validity of the scale. Instruments included 3 self-assessment scales, the Evaluation Scale for Early Childhood Programs and an observation scale completed by 8 trained observers in 89 day care sites. Item analysis indicated that most items were acceptable in terms of item discrimination and item response distribution. Cronbach ${\alpha}^{\prime}s$ and inter-observer reliability were relatively high. Validity of the scale was evidenced by correlations between the observation scale and the criterion measure and inter-correlations among sub-areas of the observation scale. Scores on the observation scale were validated by quality ratings from self-assessment scores.

  • In this study, a Korean abbreviation scale to measure love and compassion toward other person was developed based on a critical review on Compassionate Love Scale(CLS; Sprecher, & Fehr, 2005). In the study 1, 12 items were selected from the original version of 21 item CLS by surveying a sample of 207 college students on the basis of several psychometric characteristics (i.e., discriminability, coefficient of factor loading, and contribution to internal consistency). In the study 2, the validity of 12 item version, ACLS (Ajou Compassionate Love Scale), was confirmed by examining the factor structure, reliability, and correlations with other related scales. The results clearly showed that ACLS not only had a sufficient psychometric properties as the CLS, but also superior to the CLS in terms of parsimoniousness. Limitations and implications for future research of ACLS were discussed.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the 'Kkondae Scale' and verify its validity. For this purpose, three constructive concepts (attribution error, cognitive rigidity, and one-way communication) were derived through expert interviews, prior research and literature analysis, and 15 preliminary questions were selected. In addition, a preliminary scale was developed by modifying or adding items to conform to each constructive concept through expert content validity evaluation. Next, as a result of the exploratory factor analysis of about 250 adults, a three-factor structure model was derived. As a result of the confirmatory factor analysis on the preliminary scale for about 401 adults, it was confirmed that the fit of the three-factor structure was good. As a result of convergence and discriminatory validity analysis, it was confirmed that the developed scale was a valid tool to measure Kkondae by showing appropriate correlations with listening attitude, empathy, acceptance of others, and intellectual humility. Finally, based on the results of this study, the significance, limitations, and future research direction of the study were discussed.

  • This study attempts to develop the scale of 'Successful Aging' for Korean elderly. It follows fives: (1)developing 105 items based on the literature reviews, (2)performing the 1st survey to confirm and reduce items, (3)verifying the content validity through the professional group and the elderly focused group, (4)performing the 2nd survey to explore the factors of 'Successful Aging' and (5)performing the 3rd survey to identify the construct validity and concurrent validity. The scale constructs four factors with 30 items. The four factors are confirmed : (1)self efficacy, (2)satisfaction with adult children's success, (3)couple life like companion, (4)self control. The reliability of this scale is 0.94 and the relationship between the items and each factor are statistically significant by the confirmatory factor analysis. Thus, the content validity is verified. Also the correlation with the successful aging and the life satisfaction is 0.69 and then the concurrent validity is verified. This 'Successful Aging Scale' for Korean elderly will contribute to use as the socio-metrics at the welfare practice for aging.

  • This study was intended to validate and develop the driving stress scale. In a preliminary investigation, literature studies on the stress and open questionnaire were administered and examined in four regions in Korea. As a result, 121 items driving stress questionnaire were developed. In the study, this driving stress questionnaire was examined to 450 drivers located seven regions in Korea. The factors analysis revealed 5 meaningful factors[(Progress Obstacle: PO), (Traffic Circumstance: TC), (Accident & Regulation: AR), (Regulation Observance: RO), (Time Pressure: TP)] with 38 items. When internal consistency for each 5 factor was calculated, all sub-scale revealed a satisfactory level of Cronbach's α. Also, correlations with Driving Behaviour Inventory-General Driver Stress(DBI-GEN) and risk driving behaviors(speed driving, drunken driving, offence accident, defence accident) supported consistently validity of the Driving Stress Scale(DSS). Finally the result were discussed and implications are suggested for future studies.

  • Complexity metrics have been developed for the structured paradigm of software development are not suitable for use with the object-oriented(OO) paradigm, because they do not support key object-oriented concepts such as inheritance, polymorphism. message passing and encapsulation. There are many researches on OO software metrics such as program complexity or design metrics. But metrics measuring the complexity of classes at the OO analysis phase are needed because they provide earlier feedback to the development project. and earlier feedback means more effective developing and less costly maintenance. In this paper, we propose the new metrics to measure the complexity of analysis classes which draw out in the analysis based on RUP(Rational Unified Process). By the collaboration complexity, is denoted by CC, we mean the maximum number of the collaborations can be achieved with each of the collaborator and determine the potential complexity. And the interface complexity, is denoted by IC, shows the difficulty related to understand the interface of collaborators each other. We verify theoretically the suggested metrics for Weyuker's nine properties. Moreover, we show the computation results for analysis classes of the system which automatically respond to questions of the user using the text mining technique. As a result of the comparison of CC and CBO and WMC suggested by Chidamber and Kemerer, the class that have highly the proposed metric value maintain the high complexity at the design phase too. And the complexity can be represented by CC and IC more than CBO and WMC. We can expect that our metrics may provide us the earlier feedback and hence possible to predict the efforts, costs and time required to remainder processes. As a result, we expect to develop the cost-effective OO software by reviewing the complexity of analysis classes in the first stage of SDLC(Software Development Life Cycle).

  • The purpose of this study is to develop the scale on Selection, Optimization, Compensation(SOC) model as successful aging strategies of Korean Elderly. In first phase of the study, 64 pilot items were collected from researcher's indepth interviews with a purposive sample group of 24 elderly people(16 items) and original SOC scale(48 items). To analyze the factor structure and to verify the validity of the scale, 592 questionnaires collected from survey were divided randomly into 300 developmental samples and 292 validity samples. The items were examined exploratory with developmental samples and confirmatory factor analysis with developmental samples. Two factor analysis supported four factor structure of the SOC consisted of 20 items. Four factors are as follows: 'Elective Selection', 'Loss-Based Selection', 'Opimization', 'Compensation'. The cronbach's alpha estimate of the scale was .930. This scale of four factor model exhibited good fit, assessed by overall fit measure criteria(TLI=.939, CFI=.947, RMSEA=.058). The result of analysis by item response theory for SOC scale is satisfatory. Also, SOC scale was significantly related to the two successful aging scales for Korean elderly and life satisfation scale(SWLS). These results proved the validity of the scale.
