Many techniques have been proposed for digital image enlargement, which use spatially neighbored pixels information in a still image. In this paper, we propose the digital image interpolation method that improves edge characteristics by selectively transposing the sub-windows of pseudomedian filter, which results in relatively better performance than others. We have simulated the proposed algorithm using Visual C++ and verified performance of the algorithm by PSNR(Peak signal Noise Ratio) and edge characteristics. Finally, we have designed the adaptive pseudomedian by using synopsys VHDL(Very high speed integrated circuit Hardware Description Language).

The performance of magnetic abrasive finishing fur surface is evaluated by the characteristic curve. The characteristic curve is generated by experiment in surface finishing. For experiment, new magnetic inductor is designed and manufactured. 15 kinds of powders are provided to find the relationship between powder characteristic and finishing performance. As powder, Fe-TiC. Polymer-TiC and Fe-NbC are used with different size. The size of abrasives and location are also important factor for the performance. From characteristic curve, two index are obtained, which specify the initial finishing performance and endurance of finishing performance. It is proved that the performance index can be applied to select proper powder for efficient deburring. It is shown that the characteristic curve can be used as good tools for evaluating powder performance in surface finishing and deburring.

The head louse infestation had been no problem since 1960s in Korea. However, the present study revealed high infestation rate among the primary school children in Seosan-gun, Chungnam Province in July 1983. The cases of louse positive were determined by identifying the adult worms and/or their llits on scalp and hairs. The overall louse positive rate among 615 children examined was 73.5%. The rate was higher in girls (78.8%) than in boys (67.6%) and was highest in 3rd-4th school grades. It was observed that the more the number of family members the higher the infestation rate of children. The positive children were treated with 20% benzyl benzoate solution after the teat for louscidal effect in petri dish. However, establishment of intensive control measure is needed to prevent further infestation.

The gene responsible for dechlorination of 4-chlorobenzoate (4CBA) was cloned in E. coli XL1-Blue from Pseudomonas sp. DJ-12. The cloned cell of E. coli Cjl had the hybrid pBluescript SK(+) plasmid, into which about 9.5 kb genomic DNA fragment of PseudOmonas sp. DJ-12 was inserted. The subclone of pCJlOl was constructed by inserting the 3.4 kb EcoRI-HindIII fragment of pCJl into the vector. Those cloned cells could be simply selected by halo formation around the colonies which was the precipitate of AgCl produced by reaction of AgNO$_{3}$ and chloride ion liberated by bacterial dechlorination of 4CBA- Such a plate assay method was standardized by the procedure that the colonies grown for 2 days on the Cl$^{-}$-free plate medium containing 1 mM 4CBA were flooded with 0.1 M AgNO$_{3}$ solution.

The wafer carrier is made of PP, PC, PE resin which have excellent heat and chemical resistance and electrical properties. However, particle generation has become a problem due to static electricity generated in the carrier. Some conductive material such as carbon black (CB) and carbon fiber (CF) are added for the purpose of anti-static, however, additional for motility and particle contamination problems due to high carbon content occurs. In this paper, the electrical characteristics and workability are observed and compared by adding low Carbon Nono Tube(CNT) to each PP, PC and PE resin to solve the problem.

The experiment was conducted to inxvestigate matter production ability and growth characteristic variation for Italian ryegrass seed of introduced variety and the different seed production time of the next generation in paddy field at Iksan and Kyehwa experiment field from 1987 to 1988. Germination rate is good at seed production of 35 days before and after heading with introducced variety. Also, Early growth before wintering, dead leaf rate and regenerating day is same tendendy. Panicle numbers per hill like that and heading date is for 15~20 days after heading seed is late about three days, but 35 days before and after heading seed is early about one day. Fresh and drymatter yield at the different cutting time shows decrease in 15~25 days after heading seed but 35 days before and after heading seed is same or increase trend, it's notable at Kyehwa paddy field in reclaimed land. In case of feed value according to cutting time differ little against introduced seed.

The COMS(Communication, Ocean and Meteorological Satellite) is the first developed three-axis stabilization multi-function satellite on geostationary earth orbit(GEO) in korea, presently scheduled to be launched in 2008. The COMS propulsion system provides the thrust and torque required for the insertion into GEO, attitude and orbit control/adjustment of spacecraft. In this paper, system design of propulsion system, basic functions and design requirement of components are described.

A rigorous study of single droplet vaporization under quiescent high pressure atmosphere is attempted adopting method of flash evaporation calculation for vapor-liquid equilibrium. Results due to flash method shows excellent agreement with measurement. Also shown is the present model fairly capable of depicting transients of droplet vaporization under high pressure environment, such as ambient gas solubility, property variation, and multicomponent transports. Systematic treatment of these effects with emphasis on vapor-liquid phase equilibrium revealed; conventional treatment for subcritical droplet vaporization, such as $d^2$-law, leads to erroneous prediction of droplet history, augmented gas solubility is significant under supercritical pressure, and vaporization rate proportionally increase with pressure.

Coal gasification fuel has generally a lower calorific values than natural gas and also contains ammonia which is a main source of fuel NOx. Such a fuel is in need of the advanced technologies for the NOx reduction with higher combustion efficiency. Therefore fuel staged combustion was investigated for the fuel NOx control using a bench scale gas combustoi for the fuel NOx control. Parametric screening studies were performed with the variation of air ratio, retention length and reburning fuel. The NOx reduction efficiency was increased with an increase of total air ratio having optimum reburning air ratio differently, The Increased retention length of the reburning zone was preferable for NOx reduction. Hydrocarbonic reburning fuels like propane and butane were more effective for the NOx reduction efficiency than hydrogen fuel. The NOx concentration at exit was linearly increased according to the fuel-N the fuel.

HyREX는 연구용 프로토타입 XML 하이퍼미디어 문서 검색시스템으로 다국어를 지원하고 있다. HyREX는 검색을 위한 효율적인 접근 경로들을 처리하는 물리적 계층 HyPath와 질의어를 처리하는 논리적 계층 XIRQL 그리고 사용자 인터페이스인 HyGate 계층으로 이루어져 있다. 이 연구에서는 영어와 독일어 등의 검색을 지원하는 기존의 HyREX 시스템을 한글 XML 문서 검색시스템으로 확장하기 위해 먼저 한글 데이터타입을 위한 클래스를 구현하였다. 앞으로 한글 XML 문서 검색에서 정확율과 재현율을 향상하기 위해 각 문서의 인덱스에 대해 $tf{\cdot}idf$ 공식을 이용하여 가중치를 부여하고 이를 개발하고자 한다.
