This study investigated the relationship between selective exposure, attitude polarization, and online political participation among 420 YouTube political video users. Additionally, the mediating effect of attitude polarization on the relationship between selective exposure and online political participation was examined. The main results were derived by conducting exploratory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and structural model analysis using the SPSS 21.0 program and AMOS 21.0 program. The results were presented as follows. First, selective exposure had a positive effect on attitude polarization. Second, selective exposure had a positive effect on online political participation. Third, attitude polarization had a positive effect on online political participation. Fourth, attitude polarization was found to mediate the relationship between selective exposure and online political participation. In summary, it was confirmed that selective exposure to YouTube political videos increased attitude polarization and online political participation, and the more the attitude polarization was strengthened by selective exposure, the more it led to online political participation.

The purpose of the study was to examine the effects of fathers' sex-role attitude and parenting involvement on mothers' parenting stress. The subjects were 383 parents with young children aged 3-5 in Metropolitan area, South Korea. We measured the study variables using the questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation analyses, and the analyses of multiple regression using SPSS 21.0. The results showed that both fathers' sex-role attitude and fathers' parenting involvement had the statistically significant negative correlations with mothers' parenting stress. Second, fathers' sex-role attitude and parenting involvement showed the statistically significant negative effects on mothers' parenting stress. We suggest that it is necessary to promote the fathers modern and desirable sex-role attitude and to support fathers' participation in parenting in order to alleviate the parenting stress of mothers with young children.

The purpose of this study is to validate the Play Participation Attitude Scale for parents of preschoolers, which was developed by the Delphi survey. 447 parents of 9 daycare centers in Seoul and Incheon were recruited for this study and, finally, data from 339 parents were used to perform exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis, and reliability analysis. The results of the study are as follows. First, factor analyses revealed that the global fit of the sensitively play (7 items), responsively play (6 items), and delightfully play(7 items) three-factor model was good. Second, the internal consistency of the Play Participation Attitude Scale was good. Third, there was a statistically significant positive correlation between the current scale and the parents' playfulness scale, indicating concurrent validity. Finally, higher scores of the Play Participation Attitude Scale and its three factors significantly predicted lower scores of parenting stress and higher scores of the preschoolers' self-control ability. These findings revealed that this new measure to be both valid and reliable and specifically suggests what kind of attitude is appropriate for parents to adopt when participating in preschoolers' play.

This research studied how political online discussion participation and experiencing opinion disagreement during the discussion affect on civic attitudes(interpersonal trust and reciprocity) and civic participation through pretest-posttest control group experimental treatment. For results, first of all, online political discussion positively affects on civic attitude of participants, but it's effect was partial. Next, experiencing opinion disagreement can help to have rather improving civic attitude than reducing civic attitude. Finally, civic attitude consists of interpersonal trust and reciprocity acquired from online discussion also partially and positively affects on civic participation which is more affected by reciprocity than interpersonal trust. Regard to these effect of online discussion, civic attitude can be extended by participating political communication(discussion), and participating communicative associations lead to encourage civic attitude of them and function to reinforce social integration and social ties.

The study aimed to effect of leisure support and leisure constraints on life satisfaction for extreme sports participants. A total of 179 adults from Seoul, In-chon, Gyeonggi, and Chungcheng-do were recruited. I conducted frequency, reliability, confirmatory factor, correction, and structure equaling modeling analyses using PASW Statistics 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. The results were as follows: (1) leisure attitude of leisure activity participants had a positive influence on leisure satisfaction; (2) leisure attitude of leisure activity participants had no influence on psychology happiness; (3) leisure satisfaction of leisure activity participants had no influence on psychology happiness. Leisure satisfaction has no mediating effect between leisure attitude and psychological well-being. However, leisure attitude has a positive influence on leisure satisfaction, so we need to develop infrastructure which it continue participate in leisure activity.

Purpose: The purpose of the study was to assess married couples' attitude toward family-birth according to the range of spouse's participation in family-birth. Method: Data were obtained by the 54 couples who used to visited in order to participate on family-birth at two teritary women's hospital in G-city. Result: There was a significant difference in pregnant woman's attitude : the status of having a job(Z=-2.01, p=.044) & type of nuclear family(Z=-2.17, p=.029), planned pregnance(Z=-2.54, p=.011). The spouse who partly participated in the process of family-birth showed higher(t=2.30, p=.030) compared to the spouse who participated in the whole process of family-birth. Conclusion: The results of the study suggest that hospitals and women's hospitals should support pregnant woman's social work and encourage spouse who partly participation and develop education programs.

This article was examines an attitude towards Tourism Development that has relevance to social psychological differences of individuals in terms of social psychological research on Tourism Development. It used the self-monitoring scale developed by Snyder(1974) who focused on individual behavior, which has been recently paid attention in the field of social psychology. It is considered that the result of this study contributes to academic world from two extensive points of view. One is that this study was conducted without any previous studies on self-monitoring and was performed to arrange the concept of Tourism Development Attitude in the stream. Another one is that this research proved the influence of self-monitoring on the citizen's propensity towards Tourism Development Attitude toward economic impact, Tourism Development Attitude toward social impact and with the tendency of participating in tourism development. Finally, Tourism Development Attitude that has relevance to social psychological differences of individuals.

Ecotourism is an alternative tourism which can be defined as responsible tourism in natural areas. This study deals with changing the tourists' environmental attitudes of ecotourism activities based on the elaboration likelihood model(ELM). The surveys were conducted based on the same participants to clearly measure the differences of environmental attitudes between pre and post-participation ecotourism activities. A total of 183 samples were collected in Upo Wetlands. The results showed that there were significant differences in the tourists' environmental attitudes between pre and post-participation ecotourism activities. This indicates that ecotourism participants delicately reinforce their eco-friendly attitudes through various ecotourism experiences and educational programs. The most significant finding is that anti-environmental behavior can be relieved with eco-friendliness through participation in ecotourism.

This study was conducted with 202 elderly people aged 65 years or older (40.6% male and 59.4% female) participating in physical activities centered on line dance and rhythmic gymnastics. To achieve the main objectives of the study, a questionnaire for mature aging attitude, depression and successful aging was used. The results are as follows. First, matured aging attitude influenced negatively on depression. Second, matured aging attitude influenced positively on successful aging. Third, depression influenced negatively on successful aging. Based on the above results, it is necessary to encourage the elderly to participate in physical activities to achieve successful aging through active interventions against depression.

This study aims to understand the retirement preparation of Korean baby boom generation. For this purpose, the mediation effect of the parameter of retirement preparation was confirmed to their social participation attitudes that influenced on successful aging. The research tried to present policy alternatives. The frequency analysis, description analysis, correlation analysis, hierarchical multiful-regression analysis for the collected data were conducted with SPSS 23 program. The findings are as follows; First, social participation attitudes affect successful aging. Second, social participation affects retirement preparation. Third, retirement preparation affects successful aging. Fourth, the relationship of social participation attitudes and successful aging are influenced mediation effect of retirement preparation. Finally, discussed the future research topics.
