  • The purpose of this study is to look into development and effects of Mind and Happiness Program for personality cultivation of college students. The program referred to previous studies on personality cultivation, personality cultivation guidelines for college students (Lee Joo Hee, Park Hee Hyun, Park Eun Min, 2010), and 'guidance and reality of personality development' (Kim Yeo Ok, 1999). This program was composed of 13 contents in order to be available in liberal arts selective courses within one semester, each content consisting of 50-minute lecture and 50-minute field activity program. 88 college students at W university in Jeollabukdo was the subjects of experiment group participating in personality cultivation program, which was conducted for 100 minutes once a week over 13 weeks. Degree of participants' satisfaction in the program was measured by the frequency and percentage of surveyed items. Mean difference between pre-test and post-test of participants' self-efficacy and life satisfaction was verified by t-test for comparison and Cohen's d for level of effect, respectively. This survey results in enhancing the self-efficacy and life satisfaction of collegians joined liberal arts selective courses thru personality cultivation program. Furthermore, the subjects after the program intended to recommend this program to other students.

A quasi-experimental study with a non-equivalent control group posttest design was used. Participants were recruited from one nursing colleges. The sample consisted of an experimental group (n=43) that participated in the self reflective practice using cellular phone video recordings program and a control group (n=43). The data of self-confidence in performance, practice satisfaction, and learning self-efficacy were collected using self-administered questionnaires from March 2, 2018 to May 30. The core basic nursing skills achievement was evaluated by two researchers. Data analyzed using ${\chi}^2$-test and independent t-test. After the intervention, self-confidence in performance, learning self-efficacy and core basic nursing skills achievement significantly increased in the experimental group compared with the control group. Findings indicated that, this program can be recommended as an effective educational program for the nursing student to improve their fundamental nursing skills.

  • The purpose of this research was to examine the attitudes toward science on geology and satisfaction of education according to the stage of cognitive development of middle school students mainly on the geoscience education program of IS-GEO(International School for Geoscience and Mineral Resources) which is the KIGAM(Korea Institute of Geoscience and Mineral Resources) and to see what kind of correlation it shows between these. The subjects of research are 139 out of 282 students who participated in the geoscience education program conducted at the IS-GEO which is a KIGAM in 2018 by random sampling. Therefore, the research results are as follows. First, the concrete operational stage was 44%, the transition stage was 32%, the formal operational stage was 24%, 76% of the middle school student's cognitive development level didn't reach at the formal operational stage. Also, attitudes towards science on geology indicated statistically significant differences in the sub-region in "Geology-related science class", "Suburban geological science class", "Recognition of geological science and technology". Second, there was no statistically significant difference in educational satisfaction depending on the stages of every cognitive development. In other words, all participants at the cognitive stages showed high satisfaction with the geological education program which progresses at the IS-GEO, which is the KIGAM. Third, the correlation between educational satisfaction and attitudes toward science on geology showed a statistically meaningful static correlation. Therefore, attitudes toward science on geology can be positively displayed that participants who participated in geoscience education program and training of the IS-GEO have high satisfaction of education in science behavioral system.

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the development direction of adult learners' blended learning class as a study on the class satisfaction of adult college students according to the blended learning class participation type. To this end, a survey was conducted targeting adult learners at two schools that are carrying out the LiFE project (lifelong education system support project). The analyzed research results are as follows. First, in the case of adult learners, the proportion of participating in liberal arts + major classes as a blended learning subject was 77.8%, and home was the highest with 69.8% as a place to participate in online classes. Second, satisfaction with the blended learning teacher/instructor teaching method was generally satisfied with 95.2% of average or higher. Third, 96.8% of the students answered 'yes' or higher regarding the level of satisfaction with the blended learning method. The above research results show that blended learning is one of the important teaching and learning methods in providing adult-tailored education to adult learners who combine work and study. It can be seen that the blended learning teaching method is an effective teaching method that enables interactive communication between the instructor and the learner rather than the one-way teaching-oriented content delivery class of the traditional classroom.

  • With respect to the growth and development of innocity from improvements in leisure environments, this research examines the factors that affect the level of satisfaction of innocity leisure environments to propose political implications. In order to do so, 43 leisure activities were chosen, and the level of importance of those activities to the residents prior to moving to the innocity was compared to the level of satisfaction the residents felt regarding the activities after moving. As a result, 13 activities, including literature attendance, had greater levels of satisfaction after moving than the levels of importance prior to moving. The rest (30) activities showed the opposite results. We deduced the factors that affect the level of satisfaction by performing logistic regression analysis on 3 dependent variables. As a result, the static and passive leisure activities had higher satisfactory levels, whereas the dynamic and active had lower satisfactory levels. Thus, innocity must develop culture facilities quickly, expand exercise facilities to support sports activties, and promote tourism by improving and networking with tourist attractions in order to improve future satisfactory levels of leisure activities.

It became. The findings of this study suggest that in order to more effectively promote entrepreneurship education in the university, which is now quantitatively expanded, it is necessary to improve various ways of creating qualitative effects such as expansion of experiential teaching methods and entrepreneurship mentoring. We believe this could provide policy implications for reinforcing the expertise of entrepreneurs who conduct mentoring.

  • The Brain Korea 21 (i.e., BK21) is a state-led higher education funding project that started in 2013. Previous literature investigating the effectiveness of the project mainly focused on massive quantitative outcomes of funded teams, and many studies reporting only self-reported data of graduate students who participated in the project. Therefore, there were not many BK21 studies that thoroughly examined the graduate students' performance, ability, satisfaction, etc. This study aims to determine the effect of the BK21 project participation on graduate students' academic performance, using objective (the number of published papers), self-rating (graduates' satisfaction), and other-rating (advisor's performance evaluation) data, which were sampled from 2013 to 2019 from a single funded team on a one-departmental-unit. The results showed that the participating graduate students had more published papers, and had higher performance evaluation scores in research, and overall abilities, than the non-participating graduate students. Further, participating students were largely satisfied with BK21 supports. This study has significance in that it demonstrates the positive influence of the BK21 project on graduate students' academic performance and satisfaction by the thorough investigation of a single social science funded team.
