Comparative Analysis of Consumer Needs for Products, Service, and Integrated Product Service : Focusing on Amazon Online Reviews (제품, 서비스, 융합제품서비스의 소비자 니즈 비교 분석 :아마존 온라인 리뷰를 중심으로)

  • The study analyzes reviews of hardware products, customer service products, and products that take the form of a convergence of hardware and cloud services in ICT using text mining. We derive keywords of each review and find the differentiation of words that are used to derive topics. A cluster analysis is performed to categorize reviews into their respective clusters. Through this study, we observed which keywords are most often used for each product type and found topics that express the characteristics of products and services using topic modeling. We derived keywords such as "professional" and "technician" which are topics that suggest the excellence of the service provider in the review of service products. Further, we identified adjectives with positive connotations such as "favorite", "fine", "fun", "nice", "smart", "unlimited", and "useful" from Amazon Eco review, an integrated product and service. Using the cluster analysis, the entire review was clustered into three groups, and three product type reviews exclusively resulted in belonging to each different cluster. The study analyzed the differences whereby consumer needs are expressed differently in reviews depending on the type of product and suggested that it is necessary to differentiate product planning and marketing promotion according to the product type in practice.

  • IPTV는 기술적으로 TV에 PC적 기능이 더해지고 인터넷 프로토콜(IP)을 통해 인터넷과 연결되는 서비스로, 국내 초고속인터넷의 속도가 VDSL, 광랜과 같은 서비스의 등장으로 최대 100Mbps에 이르러 동영상 콘텐츠의 실시간 스트리밍 서비스가 가능한 환경이 구현되었다. IPTV 도입을 통해 산사건 방송, VOD 등의 기본적인 서비스뿐만 아니라, 양방향 광고, IPTV 민원발급 및 IPTV 공공서비스 제공 등 다양한 응용서비스의 개발 및 활성화를 기대하였다. 또한 IPTV를 통해 유료방송의 경쟁을 촉진시키고 케이블TV의 디지털 전환을 촉진시킴으로써 시청자들의 복지를 향상시킨다는 취지도 함께 있었다. 정량적으로는 IPTV가입자가 2012년에 이르러 보수적으로 290만가구, 낙관적으로는 450만 가구에 이를 것으로 예상하였으며, 관련 시장규모도 동년도에 약 7,515억원에 이를 것으로 전망하였다. 하지만, 2011년 말이 이미 450만 가입자를 돌파하고 2012년 8월 500만 가입자를 유치하면서 IPTV 서비스는 본격적인 mass market을 형성해 나가고 있다. IPTV 시장이 확대해 나가면서 유료방송 가입가구 수도 증가하였는데, 도입당시인 2008년 말 1,740만 가구가 유료방송에 가입하여 104%의 보급률을 보였으나 2011년 6월말 현재 가구수 대비 유료방송 가입자구수는 127%로 증가하였다. 이렇게 IPTV서비스 시장이 확대되고는 있으나, 정부의 신규 서비스에 대한 과도한 요금규제, IPTV와 경쟁하는 케이블방송사(SO) 계열의 콘텐츠 사업자(CP)들의 방송채널 공급거절 및 지상파 방송사의 과도한 재전송 대가, 전국 권역사업자인 IPTV에 대한 권역별 가입자점유율 규제, IPTV의 차별성으로 내세웠던 T-Commerce 및 양방향 광고에 대한 규제는 앞으로 개선해 내가야할 과제이다. 이에 본고는 IPTV의 시장성과를 조망하고, 시장의 지속성장을 위해 필요한 제도개선 방향을 살펴보았다.

Determinants of Intention to Use toward N Screen Service for Potential User (N스크린 서비스 잠재적 수용자의 수용의도 영향요인 연구)

  • Using technology acceptance model, this study investigates the factors affecting N-screen service adoption. We collected 435 available answers from potential users through systematic online survey. Results show that self-efficacy and perceived interactivity factors had positive effects on perceived ease of use. In addition, service variety, perceived interactivity, perceived ease of use factors had positive effects on perceived usefulness. Yet social effect factor had negative effect on perceived usefulness. On the other hand, perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness had positive effect on the intention of use. In conclusion, to improve the intention to use N-screen service, it is necessary to make users convinced that N-screen service can give customized contents and interactive information regardless of time and place.

  • Historically, IP-based internets have been able to provide a simple best-effort delivery service to all applications they carry. Best effort treats all packets equally, with no service level, packet loss, and delay. But the needs of users have changed. The want to use the new real-time, multimedia, and multicasting applications. Thus, there is a strong need to be able to support a variety of traffic with a variety of quality-of-service requirements. The DiffServ architecture, proposed by the Internet Engineering Task Force(IETF), has become the most viable solution for provising QoS over IP networks. The DiffServ architecture does not specify any handling method between AF out-profile packets and BE packets. This paper propose a mechanism for supporting inter class fairness in the DiffServ architecture. Ⅰ proposed a modified Weighted Round Robin method to protect the BE traffic from AF out-profile packets in the core routers. The proposed technique is evaluated through simulation. Simulation results indicate that the proposed method provides better protection not only for BE packets from AF out-profile packets, but also for the AF in-profile packets in congested networks.

  • Recently, the research on the construction of optical Internet backbone networks using WDM has been actively progressed. In this paper, we propose the offset based service-differentiation scheme in optical burst switching (OBS) networks. We classify the services into two classes; high class and low class. The proposed scheme decides the offset time of high class so as to satisfy the required burst loss rate (BLR) of services according to the service-differentiation ratio (SDR). The SDR may be set depending on the environment of OBS network and user's requirements, our scheme decides the BLR of high class by using the required SDR and conservation law. Finally, we use the offset time decision (OTD) algorithm to determine the offset time of high class. The proposed scheme is evaluated through simulation. The result of simulation is compared with that of analysis to verify the proposed scheme.

The Effects of Perceived Netflix Personalized Recommendation Service on Satisfying User Expectation (지각된 넷플릭스 개인화 추천 서비스가 이용자 기대충족에 미치는 영향)

  • The OTT (Over The Top) platform promotes itself as a distinctive competitive advantage in that it allows users to stay on the platform longer and visit more often through a Personalized Recommendation Service. In this study, the characteristics of the Personalized Recommendation Service are divided into three categories: recommendation accuracy, recommendation diversity, and recommendation novelty. Then proposed a research model which affects the usefulness of users to recognize recommendation services by each characteristics and leads to satisfaction of expectations. The result of conducting an online survey of 300 people in their 20s and 30s who subscribe Netflix shows that the perceived usefulness increased when the accuracy, variety, and novelty of Netflix's Recommendation Service were high. It was also confirmed that high perceived usefulness leads to satisfaction of expectations before and after Netflix use. The derived research results can confirm the importance of evaluating the personalized recommendation service in terms of user experience and provide implications for ways to improve the quality of recommendation services.

Predictors of Intention to Work among People with Disabilities who Maintain Economic Inactivity (비경제활동 유지 장애인의 취업의사 예측변인 탐색)

  • This study identified predictors of intention to work among people with disabilities who maintain economic inactivity for two successive years by analyzing a total of 2,255 Participants in the 2014 data of the Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled (PSED) with through $X^2$, t test, logistic regression. To explore factors affecting intention to work among people with disabilities who maintain economic inactivity, this study hypothesized the effectiveness of variables of demographic, disability, human resources, psycho-social factors based on previous studies. The analysis showed that male, spouse-being, low income status out of demographic variables were related to high probability of having intention to work among people with disabilities who maintain economic inactivity. In case of disability variables, experiencing disability-related discrimination significantly predicted the probability of having intention to work. However, the relationship between disability-related discrimination experiences and high intention to work needs to be viewed as correlated rather than cause-and-effect.In addition, literacy related to computer use/English proficiency/interpersonal and adaptation skills(human resources), experiences of vocational rehabilitation services (human resources), self-esteem (psycho-social) significantly predicted the probability of having intention to work among people with disabilities who maintained economic inactivity. Based on these results, support services for females with disabilities, effective rehabilitation programs of improving literacy related to computer use/English proficiency/interpersonal and adaptation skills and self-esteem, general expansion of vocational rehabilitation services for people with disabilities are suggested.

Effects of Omni-channel Service Characteristics on Utilitarian/Hedonic Shopping Value and Reuse Intention (옴니채널 서비스 특성이 실용적·쾌락적 쇼핑가치 지각과 재이용의도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study tries to explain the relationships among omni-channel service characteristics, utilitarian/hedonic shopping value, and reuse intention. We derive instant connectivity, localization, consistency, integration, privacy risk as omni-channel service characteristics from previous studies and collect data from 190 omni-channel service users. The major findings are as follows. First, localization, consistency, and privacy risk have a significant effect on utilitarian shopping value but no significant effect on hedonic shopping value. Second, instant connectivity and integration have a positive effect on both utilitarian and hedonic value. Third, utilitarian and hedonic shopping value have a positive effect on reuse intention. This study extends the scope of omni-channel consumer behaviors by focusing on multi-dimensionality of shopping value. The results of this research can provide useful implications for practitioners to build successful strategies on omni-channel service.

Robot-Assisted Learning in r-Learning (r-Learning에서의 로봇보조학습)

  • As the educational use of intelligent service robots has been proved to be effective, educational service robots have been utilized in kindergarten. In addition, service robots will be used in elementary schools from 2010 for the after-school English program. This trend indicates that r-Learning using service robots will become a major educational paradigm in preparing for future education. This article consists of the following four parts. First, the concept and the type of educational robots were defined and the trend of previous research was examined. Second, the characteristics of robot-assisted learning were analyzed as a part of r-Learning, and difference between r-Learning and u-Learning was compared. Third, the contents and service using a robot-assisted learning system were discussed, the models and trend of service using the robot-assisted learning system were examined, and the aspects of viewing evolution were compared. Finally, suggestions for activating the service market of robot-assisted learning were made for the educational institution, research institution, government and robot companies.

  • This study examines the characteristics of service economies and their impacts on the spatial transformation of Korea during the last IS years. This study reviews the different perspectives for the tertiarization Process. It focuses on the spatial variation in the growth and location of Producer service industries. Based on the analyses of industrial and occupational compositions, services. particularly producer services, have played a major role in creating new job opportunities since the late 1980s. The ratio of services to merchandise trade is approximately 1:4, but service trades have increased since the early 1990s. Producer service activities have grown very rapidly, and the information processing service has been over-concentrated in Seoul. Further headquarters of bank and insurance services are overwhelmingly concentrated into Seoul. The firms whose headquarters are located in Seoul have linkage Pattern on a nationwide scale. The pattern of employment growth in producer services shows a clear core-Periphery disparity. In the light of the observed pattern of regional differentiation in producer service employment, some wider implications of the distribution of producer service activities for regional economic Performance are considered.
