  • Lately, in the automotive market appeared keywords such as convenience, safety in presentation and increase importance of pan of vehicle. Accordingly, the use of many electronic devices was required essentially and communication between electronic devices is being highlighted. Various devices such as controllers, sensors and multimedia device(audio, speakers, video, navigation) in-vehicle connected car network such as CAN, MOST. Modem in-vehicle network managed and operated as purpose of each other. In this Paper, intelligent car navigation considering convenience and safety implement on MOST Network and present system to control CAN Network in vehicle.

Failure Case Studies of Sensors for Electronic Controlled Engine in LPG Vehicle (LPG 자동차에서 전자제어엔진용 센서의 고장사례에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this paper analyzes and investigates the failure case studies of electronic control sensors for a LP gas engine. The malfunction of crank angle sensor, which controls a fuel injection volume of LP gas, displays an irregular and non-uniform pulse wave form. The pulse form, which is related to the noise of the crank angle sensor, displays at the rectangular peak with a saw-toothed shape and is intermittently generated with a level of 2.46V noise signal. The malfunction of No. 1 TDC sensor in which is caused from the internal disorder affects to the reduction of engine power and engine stop suddenly. If the malfunction of oxygen sensor is occurred due to a wiring problem of a sensor connector, the LP gas vehicle may produce a shaking and disharmony of an engine because of no signal supply from the oxygen sensor. The air cleaner replica produces the clogging of continuous supply of fresh air. This may cause the retardation of vehicle acceleration and engine disharmony intermittently.

  • This article is concerned with the technology to provide car driver the car's status which are composed of car trouble code in car engine and many sensors. In addition, it installs vehicle diagnostic programs on wireless communication's portable device, for example, Smart phone, PDA, PMP, UMPC. As a result, this is to provide car manager with many information of car sensors when we go to car maintenance. it can monitor relevant information on vehicle by portable device in real time, alert drivers with specific messages and also enable them to address abnormalities immediately. Moreover, the technology could help the drivers who perhaps don't know very well about their vehicles to drive safely and economically as well; the reason is because the whole system is composed of just Vehicle-information collecting device and personal wireless communication's portables and transfers the relating data to server computers through wireless network in order to handle information on vehicles. This technology make us monitor vehicle's running, failure and disorder by using wireless communication's portable device. Finally, this study system is composed of a lot of application to display us the car's status which get car's inner sensor information while driving a car.

A Design of the Vehicle Crisis Detection System(VCDS) based on vehicle internal and external data and deep learning (차량 내·외부 데이터 및 딥러닝 기반 차량 위기 감지 시스템 설계)

  • Currently, autonomous vehicle markets are commercializing a third-level autonomous vehicle, but there is a possibility that an accident may occur even during fully autonomous driving due to stability issues. In fact, autonomous vehicles have recorded 81 accidents. This is because, unlike level 3, autonomous vehicles after level 4 have to judge and respond to emergency situations by themselves. Therefore, this paper proposes a vehicle crisis detection system(VCDS) that collects and stores information outside the vehicle through CNN, and uses the stored information and vehicle sensor data to output the crisis situation of the vehicle as a number between 0 and 1. The VCDS consists of two modules. The vehicle external situation collection module collects surrounding vehicle and pedestrian data using a CNN-based neural network model. The vehicle crisis situation determination module detects a crisis situation in the vehicle by using the output of the vehicle external situation collection module and the vehicle internal sensor data. As a result of the experiment, the average operation time of VESCM was 55ms, R-CNN was 74ms, and CNN was 101ms. In particular, R-CNN shows similar computation time to VESCM when the number of pedestrians is small, but it takes more computation time than VESCM as the number of pedestrians increases. On average, VESCM had 25.68% faster computation time than R-CNN and 45.54% faster than CNN, and the accuracy of all three models did not decrease below 80% and showed high accuracy.

  • In this paper, we analyze the performance of IEEE 802.11b WLAN communication between access point(AP) and mobile equipment(ME) in 2.4 GHz band with noise and interference factors. WLAN communication at in-vehicle environment is assumed as the communication between main vehicle controller and electronic device such as sensor, ECU (Electrical Control Unit) in vehicle on telematics field for implementing wireless vehicle control system. Received interference level from other system's mobile equipment in the same band and automobile noise from each part of vehicle can be the main factors that can cause increasing error rate of control signal. With these (actors, we focus on the Eb/No the BER performance of WLAN for analyzing the characteristic of interference factors by the measured bit error rate.

  • In this paper, an Ethernet equalizer that compensates for automotive temperature variations within a broad range is presented. Communications in automotive systems have become increasingly important because of the many electronics in vehicles. Ethernet protocols are a good candidate for automotive communications. However, they should satisfy the AEC-Q100 requirements that stipulate an operational temperature range from -40 to $150^{\circ}C$. This paper proposes an Ethernet equalizer that can recover data up until 100 m length of CAT-5 cable adaptively within a temperature range of -40 to $150^{\circ}C$. To support the wide temperature range, a feedback system is used. The proposed equalizer has a bandwidth of 31.25 MHz with a fully-differential structure and is implemented in a Hynix $0.13{\mu}m$ BCDMOS technology.

  • In this paper, we developed a vehicle control terminal using IoT and low-power long-distance communication (NB-IoT) technology. This system collects information on the location and status of a parked vehicle, and transmits the vehicle status to the vehicle owner's terminal in real time with low power to prevent vehicle theft, and in the case of a vehicle in motion, When primary information about the vehicle, such as an impact, is collected and transmitted to the server, the server analyzes the relevant data to generate secondary information on traffic congestion, road damage, and safety accidents. By sending it, you can know the exact arrival time of the vehicle at its destination. This terminal device is an IoT gateway for a vehicle and can be connected to various wired and wireless sensors inside the vehicle. In addition, the data collected from vehicle maintenance, efficient operation, and vehicles can be usefully used in the private or public sector.

  • 지난 5년 (2016~2020년) 간 고속도로 교통사고 사망자 1,035명 중 약 70%(722명)가 졸음 및 주시 태만으로 인해 발생하였다. 졸음운전 사고를 예방하기 위해 졸음 쉼터나 휴게소 등이 있지만 활용률이 높은 편은 아니다. 해당 문제 해결을 위해 본 논문에서는 자동차 내부에서 즉각적으로 졸음을 판별해 알람을 제공하는 알람 기능을 구현하였다. 차량에 웹캠과 CO2 농도 측정기를 설치하여 웹캠으로는 운전자의 눈 종횡비를 계산하여 졸음을 판단하고 CO2 센서로 차량 내부 CO2 농도를 측정하여 운전자의 졸음을 판단하여 경고음과 음성 경고 메시지를 출력함과 동시에 창문 개폐 기능으로 잠을 깨워주기 때문에 교통사고 발생률 저하에 기여할 것으로 기대된다.

  • Significant advancements in technology enhanced the reliability of navigation systems that are in use today. The GPS is the most widely used technique for satellite-based location estimation. However, systems based on GPS can only be accurate in providing location data when there is a clear view of the satellites. This paper proposes a self-contained navigation system that does not depend on any tracking infrastructure. Using the built-in sensors of a smartphone and a self-contained map, we implemented an accurate car locator. Evaluation results show that our proposed system outperforms GPS in providing accurate car location assistance.
