  • 텔레매틱스 서비스는 크게 주변 지역 관심 정보, 날씨, 근접 정비소, 현금 자동인출기 등의 정보서비스 분야와 교통정보 서비스, 네비게이션 서비스, 응급서비스, 고장 서비스 및 차량수리 및 차량문제에 관한 진단서비스를 중심으로 서비스가 개발되고 있다. 혹은 두 가지 분야가 복합적으로 개발되고 있다. 또한 텔레매틱스 시장은 여러 가지 기술들이 독립적으로 분할되어 다양한 제품으로 정보를 제공하기 보다는 여러 정보 및 기능 등이 텔레매틱스 시스템으로 집중 및 통합되는 형태가 요구된다. 이에 본 논문에서는 차량 장치 정보를 열람하고 제어하기 위한 단말 미들웨어 모델을 제시/구현하고, 단말 미들웨어를 이용하는 텔레매틱스 서비스 배포를 위한 배포 모델을 제시하고자 한다.

  • 지능형교통시스템 (Intelligent Transportation System: ITS) 은 도로 및 교통관리, 교통정보제공, 대중교통 및 화물차량의 운영 등 교통의 전 분야에 걸쳐 정보통신 기술, 센서 및 제어 기술을 접목함으로써 교통의 효율화와 물류비용의 절감을 목표로 하고 있다. 특히, 최근에는 전자 및 통신 기술 등 첨단기술을 활용하여 현행 교통체계를 첨단화하기 위한 노력이 빠르게 진행되고 있으며, ITS는 최근 위치정보의 폭넓은 보급과 유 무선통신기술의 발전에 따라 위치정보서비스, 텔레매틱스 서비스 등과의 결합을 통해 새로운 비즈니스 모델들을 탄생시키고 있다. 또한 기존에 중점적으로 추진되어 왔던 도로 및 차량 영역뿐만 아니라 ITS 아키텍처를 구성하는 다양한 하위 시스템들간의 통신 및 정보체계 표준화와 관계된 기술, 시스템, 서비스 등의 시장이 형성되기 시작하고 있다. 이중에서도 최근에는 이동통신기술의 발전과 복합단말의 발전을 통해 통합된 기능을 갖는 이동전화, PDA, 스마트단말 등의 개인단말 뿐만 아니라 도로와 차량내의 통신을 위한 차량탑재형 단말 등의 보급으로 단거리 무선통신기술과 스마트차드 기술을 이용한 자동요금징수시스템, 위치정보기술을 이용한 위치기반서비스, GPS를 이용하여 실시간 교통정보 서비스가 가능한 텔레매틱스 서비스 등은 본격적으로 시장을 형성해 나가고 있다. 이는 기존의 ITS 분야가 ETCS(Electric Toll Collection System), AVHS(Advanced Vehicle & Highway System), CVO(Commercial Vehicle Operation)등 교통 인프라에 초점을 맞추고 있었으나 그동안의 수익모델 부재 등으로 인해 사업자들의 적극적인 투자가 이루어지지 않아 ITS 시장 활성화에 어려움이 있어 왔다는 점을 고려해 볼 때 최근 위치정보를 이용한 사용자 서비스를 통해 민간 기업의 투자 참여와 일반 사용자들의 ITS 에 대한 관심이 매우 높아지고 있다는 점은 ITS 시장의 확대에 있어 매우 긍정적인 요인될 것으로 예상되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 ITS의 세계적인 개발 및 투자 추세, 국내의 추진 동향을 통해 살펴보고 이에 따른 국내 적용에 대한 시사점을 살펴보았다.

  • The WiBro to start June 2006 is mobile internet service with 60km/h, 3Mbps. And current WiBro service is used in Seoul, the metropolitan area and the local major cities. This study suggests WiBro technology and analyzes wireless communication technology to vehicle-to-infrastructure communications for the unmanned vehicle control. We were driving vehicle with two laptop computer's WiBro unit for V2I communication environment. So each RAS(Radio Access Station) on center is tested coverage area, transmission rate, latency rate, lost rate and transmission rate to parking area environment.

  • ITS(Intelligent Transportation System)는 H/W 중심의 차량 및 교통 기반 기설에 통신.전자.제어.컴퓨터 등 S/W 중심의 기술을 적용하여, 각 차량 및 교통 시설(신호등, 도로, 교통 안내 표지판, 도로 상황판 등)들이 상호 보완적으로 작동할 수 있게 함으로써, 기존의 도로 교통 시설의 이용 효과를 극대화하고, 그 안정성을 향상시키며, 교통 수요 관리를 목적으로 사용자에게 교통 정보를 제공하는 지능형 종합 기술 체계이다. 이러한 최첨단 도로교통 관리의 ITS를 이용한 서비스는 각 나라마다 달리 정의되는데, 우리나라에서는 첨단교통관리시스템(ATMS), 첨단교통정보시스템(ATIS), 상용차량 운행관리 시스템(CVO), 차량 및 도로 시스템(AVCS) 그리고 첨단 대중교통 시스템(APTS)의 5개 분야로 나누어진다(1). 이 다섯가지 ITS 서비스 시스템은 공통적으로 정보 수집, 정보 처리, 정보 전달, 정보 통신 기능을 가지고 있다. 즉, 각종 검지기, 차량 단말, 노변 단말 등의 수집 장치에서 수집된 정보(정보 수집)는 관련 통신 방식(정보 통신)을 통하여 중앙 정보 처리 센터에 전달되어 그 서비스 요구 사항에 따라 처리(정보 처리)되고, 생성된 정보는 해당되는 통신 채널을 거쳐(정보 통신) 각종 사용자 단말기에게 제공(정보 전달)된다. 본 논문에서는 이와 같은 ITS체계의 정의, 목표 및 서비스 종류에 대하여 설명하였으며 교통 정보를 수집하고 처리하여 전달하는 과정과 이에 요구되는 통신 체계에 대하여 알아본다.

An Intelligent Land Vehicle Information System for CDMA-based Wireless Remote Diagnosis and Management (CDMA기반 무선 원격진단 및 관리를 위한 지능형 차량 정보 시스템)

  • Researches on services of vehicles have been mainly focused on how to provide useful information and entertainment for an in-vehicle driver. However, the needs are appreciably increased for more advanced services that help drivers to check and manage their vehicles conveniently, without requiring drivers to attach to their vehicles. It is a sort of ubiquitous computing, providing an intelligent interactive services for human at any time and any where. In this paper, we present an intelligent vehicle information system to enable a driver to remotely diagnose and control a vehicle via CDMA communication network connected to the Internet. The system improves mobility for diagnosis and control of vehicle by implementing a cut and call back mechanism, which allows the vehicle terminal to have access to the information server on the Internet via CDMA call. No matter where the driver is, he can obtain the remote diagnosis and control services on the web browser without any additional application installation. Design methodology is introduced and evaluation results are analyzed for the CDMA-based intelligent vehicle information system. The experimental results show that the response time of the vehicle terminal to a web client request is 10.302 seconds at the beginning and 646.44ms thereafter. The average response time of CAN sensor node to a vehicle terminal request is 6.669ms.

  • In this paper, a telematics service platform, which supports the management and diagnosis of automobile and controls the automobile's convenience equipment is designed and implemented. Using the service platform, telematics software can be developed independent of the lower part of automobiles's network devices, each hardware devices, and wireless network devices. The platform classifies each device's service and provides it with the fixed form of API(Application Programming Interface). This API consists of the wireless connection for a mobile device, the CAN network for controlling an automobile, the receiving part of GPS data for location base service, and the message parser for different data formats of different network.

  • Presently, It is required to change convergence the role of hardware system and software technology that promoted trust of In-Vehicle for integrated complex system visibility evaluation. There is possibility for the period system can invoke unpredictable confusing blank state. The blank state systems have ecosystem characteristics that are supplied, maintained and operated through the complex interactions of technology and culture. Using universal middleware can support the life-cycle model and increase the visibility of complex systems and prepare for confusing situations. In this study, based on universal middleware, data and service dynamic standardized modules were evaluated to support stable system visibility platform. The system visibility module consists of Intelligent Pervasive Cloud module, Memorial Service module and Life Cycler connection module. In addition, the analysis results are supported by various network application service standards through platform independent system and architecture.

An Adaptive Contention Windows Adjustment Scheme Based on the Access Category for OnBord-Unit in IEEE 802.11p (IEEE 802.11p에서 차량단말기간에 혼잡상황 해결을 위한 동적 충돌 윈도우 향상 기법)

  • The study aims at offering a solution to the problems of transmission delay and data throughput decrease as the number of contending On-Board Units (OBU) increases by applying CSMA medium access control protocol based upon IEEE 802.11p. In a competition-based medium, contention probability becomes high as OBU increases. In order to improve the performance of this medium access layer, the author proposes EDCA which a adaptive adjustment of the Contention Windows (CW) considering traffic density and data type. EDCA applies fixed values of Minimum Contention Window (CWmin) and Maximum Contention Window (CWmax) for each of four kinds of Access Categories (AC) for channel-specific service differentiation. EDCA does not guarantee the channel-specific features and network state whereas it guarantees inter-AC differentiation by classifying into traffic features. Thus it is not possible to actively respond to a contention caused by network congestion occurring in a short moment in channel. As a solution, CWminAS(CWmin Adaptation Scheme) and ACATICT(Adaptive Contention window Adjustment Technique based on Individual Class Traffic) are proposed as active CW control techniques. In previous researches, the contention probabilities for each value of AC were not examined or a single channel based AC value was considered. And the channel-specific demands of IEEE 802.11p and the corresponding contention probabilities were not reflected in the studies. The study considers the collision number of a previous service section and the current network congestion proposes a dynamic control technique ACCW(Adaptive Control of Contention windows in considering the WAVE situation) for CW of the next channel.

  • OBE(On Board Equipment) of IR(Infrared)/RF(Radio Frequence)-DSRC(Dedicated Short Range Communication) are set up 1.25 million cars because Korea Highway Cooperation supplied in HiPass(Domestic Electronic Toll Collection System). But this DSRC system has strength and weakness of service for BIS(Bus Information System) or UTIS(Urban Traffic Information System) because BIS and UTIS are required vary high communication's performance and management. In this paper, Efficiency of IR/RF-DSRC is analyzed performance of MAC(Medium Access Control) by computer simulation for services of BIS or UTIS, so Suggested to be commensurated with medium of there service. Specially, DSRC is needed high mobility and throughput in the vary short communication range, so Analysed the transmission rate of data in each communication medium over the specific character of the MAC frame.

  • As the information age comes out, the aspect of future war brings about the many changes in terms of war-fighting environment. Accordingly, information superiority and intelligence-centric warfare have been important and new war-fighting concept such as NCW(network centric warfare) have been turned up. This paper proposed all-weather core-strategy communications systems guaranteeing not only the real-time transmission of the information collected in a battlefield and expansion, automation, and rapidity of a battlefield but also broadband, mobility, survivability, and flexibility. The proposed military satellite communications system is classified into wideband mass capacity link, survivability, and the system supporting OTM(on the move) communication for the real-time transmission of battlefield information. This paper analyzed the essential operation concepts and core schemes of the U.S. Army's next generation system, TSAT(Transformational Satellite Communication System). Base on the analysis results, this paper proposed that the architecture of next generation military satellite communications systems for NCW have to provide the data rate, anti-jamming capability, network control and management capability which are optimally adaptable for the wireless channel environments such as jamming and interference and to support the variety of platforms like high-speed mobile vehicles, micromini devices, super-high speed unmanned aerial vehicles. Finally, this paper also proposed that next generation military satellite communications systems need the technologies such as the adaptable multi-antenna, laser link, and next-generation anti-jamming waveform.
