The Effects of Education Service Quality on Career Decision-Making Self-efficacy, Career Decision Level, and Career Preparation Behavior : Focused on the Moderating Effects of Freshman and Undergraduate Students (대학의 교육서비스품질이 진로결정자기효능감, 진로결정수준 및 진로준비행동에 미치는 영향 : 신입생과 재학생의 조절효과를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of education service quality (quality of professor service, quality of curriculum service) on career decision-making, self-efficacy, career decision level, and career preparation behavior. Appropriate measures were developed and tested on 426 respondents of Gyeongnam province in South Korea with a cross-sectional questionnaire survey. To ensure the reliability and validity of the questionnaire, frequency analysis, reliability analysis, and validity analysis were conducted. To ensure the reliability and validity of the measurement model, the CFA(confirmatory factor anlaysis) were conducted. The SEM(structural equation modeling) analysis was undertaken to perform the path analysis among the variables and to assess the suitability of the model. MCFA(multi group CFA) and MSEM(multi group SEM) were performed to confirm the moderation effect. Results of the study are summarized as follows: Firstly, education service quality has positive effects on career decision-making self-efficacy. Second, career decision-making self-efficacy has positive effects on career decision level and career reparation behavior. Third, career decision level has positive effects on career reparation behavior. Finally, it was found there exists a moderating effect of freshman/registered student between education service quality, career decision-making self-efficacy, career decision level, career preparation behavior. As a result of this study, it is suggested that investigation of extraneous variables which help to improve career preparation behavior and career decision level as for career of university student will contribute to university education.

  • In order to respond to rapid change in career world and future society, there has been need to strengthen the competitiveness of higher education institutions and career education system in universities. The article discusses an exemplary case studies of career education that being held in universities of developed countries such as, the United Kingdom(UK), the United States(USA) and Singapore. According to the analysis, in the UK, there has been a gradual interference by the British government; in the US, states respectively establish an educational policies and laws, as a result, it has quite a strong local government style. On the other hand, in the Singapore, as the majority of the universities are national university, the Government leads in establishing career education policy. As a result, this article aims to explore policies of career education in higher education institution in developed countries and provide an implication for Korean national career education.

The Influence of the Education Service Quality of State-Sponsored Beauty Education Institutions on Perceived Usefulness and Career Preparation Behavior (국비 지원 뷰티 교육기관의 교육서비스품질이 지각된 유용성 및 진로준비행동에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this investigate the effect of the educational institution service quality f the government-supported beauty-related educational institution on the students' perceived usefulness and career preparation behavior. Participations in the study collected 362 students at a government-funded educational institution located in Seoul and Gyeon-ggi by a convenience sampling method. The collected data was analyzed through descriptive statistics, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis using SPSS statistical package version 26.0 version. The results derived through a series of research procedures are as follows: First, educational service quality, perceived usefulness and career preparation behavior showed a statistically significant positive(+) correlation. Second, it was found that educational service quality had a statistically significant positive(+) effect on perceived usefulness. Third, the educational service quality showed a positive(+) influence on the career preparation behavior of information collection activities and job preparation activities. Fourth, the perceived usefulness was found to have a statistically significant positive(+) effect on the career preparation behavior of the information collection activities ad job preparation activities. The results of this research can be used as basic data to increase the efficiency of beauty-related government funding projects by evaluating the quality of education services of state-funded beauty related educational institutions.

  • The unemployed graduates who got a higher education aggravate unstable employment in our society. However, the existing College of education in employment guidance course still get the effect of students' direct employment and the stale, simply an information delivery functionality of college students after graduation could not serve the needs of industries.. Thus, this paper suggests a mentoring service, which will be proceeding for career guidance and college life guidance. The expert and field evaluation were frequently executed so that the systematic and continuous mentoring activities to occur. These mentoring service model for work guidance are expected to improve the employment rate of University as well as to decline the rate of jobless.

  • In the wake of the 4th Industrial Revolution, the problem of career education in schools has become a big issue. While various studies are being conducted on services or technologies to effectively handle artificial intelligence and big data, in the field of education, data on students is simply processed. Therefore, in this paper, we are going to design and present career prediction programs for students using artificial intelligence and big data. Using observational data from students at the institute, the decision tree is constructed with the C4.5 algorithm known to be most intelligent and effective in the decision tree and is used to predict students' path of hope. As a result, the coefficient of kappa exceeded 0.7 and showed a fairly low average error of 0.1 degrees. As shown in this study, a number of studies and data will be deployed to help guide students in their consultation and to provide them with classroom attitudes and directions.

  • The object of this study is the effects of a cosmetology education for career discontinuity women who receive a cosmetology education for reemployment on career preparation behavior, so I analyzed reemployment characteristics, cosmetology education satisfaction, and career preparation behavior for 300 women in thirties to fifties who receive a cosmetology education for reemployment. Reemployment women's reemployment characteristics are various according to age, level of education, major field, training period, and educational institution, and sub factors of cosmetology education satisfaction affects meaningfully to improve career preparation behavior. Especially, educational contents and consultation about getting a job and career casts a long shadow relatively to career preparation behavior, so educational contents and consultation service about getting a job and career are important to make reemployment rate through career preparation behavior high. Based on such factors, the study will fulfill students' demand in cosmetology educational institutions, will highlight the importance of an efficient cosmetology education for developing industrial settings once more, and will offer base line data of consultation service about getting a job and career that can make satisfaction and credibility of educational institutions high, so will help the development of a cosmetology education and career discontinuity women's reemployment.

An Exploratory Study on the Business Model for Career and Academic Counseling in Non-Urban High Schools (비도시권 고등학교 학생을 위한 진로교육 비즈니스 모형에 관한 탐색적 연구)

  • Career and academic Counseling is often viewed as the catalyst for frequent and consistent interaction with students, but it is more than simply advising students about which majors, universities or jobs to consider. Ongoing, personal contact of career and academic counselors with students is an essential component in long-term career-related efficacy. But statistics show that high schools in non-urban or rural areas face significant issues different from those schools in metropolitan or suburban contexts, failing to maintain the significant number of teachers enough for effective career and academic counseling. This article proposes an alternative model of career and academic counseling, provided by MBA(Master of Business Administration) alumni based social enterprise in Seoul. This service explores the skills, knowledge and capabilities which MBA alumni gained from their jobs and MBA programs within the context of a career-competency framework. This paper concludes with the social and educational aspect of this shared responsibility strategy that may enhance student motivation and persistence in non-urban high schools.

A Study on the Career Decision-Making Self-Efficacy for Discharged Soldiers After Mid-to Long-term Service : Based on The Outplacement Service (중장기 복무 제대군인 대상 진로결정 자기효능감에 관한 연구 : 전직지원서비스를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of the outplacement service on the career decision-making self-efficacy of discharged soldiers after mid- to long-term service. The survey carried out for this research was on 557 male discharged solders living in the Seoul, Incheon, and Gyeonggi areas. The information was processed using frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability measurement, independent sample t-test, one-way ANOVA analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis by means of the SPSSWIN 22.0 program. The results of this study suggest that counseling, education and training affect only some sub-factors of the career decision self-efficacy. Administrative support positively affects the job information collection skill, goal setting skill, planning skill, and problem solving skill among the sub-factors of the career decision self-efficacy. Job activities support had no effect on the career decision self-efficacy.

The impact of university students' major satisfaction on career preparation behavior and mediating effect of openness to diversity (대학생의 학과만족도가 진로준비행동에 미치는 영향과 다양성수용도의 매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine an influence of university students' major satisfaction on career preparation behavior and the mediating effect of openness to diversity. The survey questionnaire was distributed to 182 university students and SPSS 23.0, AMOS 23.0 program was used for statistical analysis of the data. The results of this study are as follows: First, major satisfaction has a positive effect on openness to diversity and career preparation behavior. Second, openness to diversity has a positive effect on career preparation behavior. Third, openness to diversity has a partiall mediating effect between major satisfaction and career preparation behavior. These results show that the more students enhance their major satisfaction and openness to diversity, the more students enhance their career preparation behavior.

  • 의사에게 있어 자신의 적성과 능력에 부합하는 세부 전공을 선택하는 것은 자신의 자아실현뿐만 아니라 환자들에게도 중요한 의미를 갖는다. 이것은 의과대학생들의 전공 선택을 위해 의과대학 재학 중에 이루어지는 진로개발의 중요성을 시사한다. 이 글은 의과대학생 개개인의 적성과 소질에 따른 전공 선택을 어떻게 지도할 수 있는지 단계별 진로지도 전략에 대해 고찰하였다. 전공 선택 지도의 첫 번째 단계는 자기평가이다. 자기평가는 자신의 적성과 능력에 맞는 전공을 선택하기 위해 스스로에 대한 정보를 모으고 이해하는 과정이다. 두 번째는 전공탐색 단계이다. 이 단계는 자신의 적성과 능력에 부합할 가능성이 높은 전공과목에 대한 정보를 수집하는 것이다. 세 번째는 전공 선택 단계이다. 이 과정은 학생 스스로에 대한 자기평가 결과 및 전공에 대한 탐색 결과에 기초하여 자신이 어떤 분야에 더 적합한가에 대한 의사결정을 하는 과정이다. 전공 선택을 위한 접근 방법의 마지막은 전공 영역의 수련을 위해서 자신이 결정한 전공 선택을 이행하는 단계이다. 이 단계에서는 자신이 선택한 전공영역, 그리고 전공의 수련교육과정을 제공하는 교육기관에 응시원서를 제출하고, 면접을 실시하는 과정이 포함된다. 의과대학생들이 자신의 적성과 소질에 따른 전공 선택과 의과대학생 개개인의 선택의 문제를 넘어 의료 인력의 수급, 의료서비스의 질적인 수준과 밀접하게 관련되어 있다. 그러므로 의과대학은 대학의 책무성 수행차원에서 학생들의 가치관 확립과 진로지도를 위한 체계적인 학생 진로지도 프로그램을 개발하고 학생들을 적극적으로 지원해야 한다.
