  • In this research, modeling and analysis of an ultrasonic transducer composed of single crystal piezoelectric material(PMN-28PT) are conducted with FEM in reference with that composed of piezoelectric ceramic(PZT-4). Acoustic performances of the ultrasonic transducer are compared with magnitude, phase of impedance and trasmitting voltage response according to the type of piezoelectric materials.

  • In general, structures have various joints such as bonded joint, bolted joint, bearing joint and welded joint. Dynamic modelling of such joints has been the current topic of interest. In this study, the dynamic modelling of plate structures with bonded joint was investigated by using modal testing, sensitivity analysis and condensation-inverse condensation method of FEM. A proper modelling procedure was proposed and the validity was verified.

  • 본 논문에서는, 특히 고효율에 따른 소음 증가문제를 해결하기 위해 실험계획법을 이용한 머플러를 설계하였고, 설계단계에서부터 시뮬레이션 검증을 통해 효율을 고려한 저소음 머플러 설계가 가능하도록 머플러의 형상을 유한요소법에 의해 모델링한 후에, 소음해석 PACKAGE인 SYSNOISE를 이용하여 전달손실(TRANSMISSON LOSS) 해석을 해석하였고, 유동해석 PACKAGE인 PHONEMICS를 이용하여 압력손실을 최소화함으로써, 효율 및 소음측면에서 기존머플러보다도 더 우수한 머플러를 설계할 수 있는 PROCEDURE를 개발하였다. 이에 따라 차후 머플러내의 냉매유동특성과 소음특성을 동시에 고려한 머플러가 설계가능하리라 생각한다.

  • 본 연구에서는 공기스프링을 능동요소로 사용한 방진대를 1자유도 및 2자유도로 모델링하여 이론해석을 수행하였고, 이에 따른 컴퓨터시뮬레이션과 실험을 통하여 이론의 타당성을 검증하였다. 다음으로 공기스프링 방진대의 방진성능 향상을 위하여 비례제어밸브, 컴퓨터, 측정센서 등을 이용하여 공기 스프링내의 공기압력을 능동적으로 조절할 수 있는 제어계를 구성한 후, 최적제어 및 퍼지제어 알고리즘을 적용하여 상태귀환 제어를 실시하였다.

  • This paper presents an efficient modeling method fur open cracked beam structures. An equivalent bending spring model is introduced to represent the structural weakening effect in the presence of open cracks. The proposed method adopts the exact dynamic element method (EDEM) to avoid the difficulty and numerical errors in association with re-meshing the structure. The proposed method is rigorously compared with a commercial finite element code. (omitted)

  • Equations of chordwise and flapwise bending motions for the vibration analysis of rotating pre-twisted blades having tapered cross section and setting angle are derived by using hybrid deformation variable modeling. The two motions are couples to each other due to the pre-twisted angle of the beam cross section. The derived equations are transformed into dimensionless forms in which dimensionless parameters are identified. The effects of the dimensionless parameters on the modal characteristics of rotating pre-twisted blades having tapered cross section and orientation angle are investigated. The eigenvalue loci veering phenomena are also investigated and discussed in this work.

  • In this study, dynamic characteristics of an end-capped hull structure with surface bonded piezoelectric actuators are studied. Finite element modeling is used to obtain practical governing equation of motion and boundary conditions of smart hull structure. Modal analysis is conducted to investigate the dynamic characteristics of the hull structure. Piezoelectric actuators are attached where the maximum control performance can be obtained. Active controller based on Linear Quadratic Gaussian (LQG) theory is designed to suppress vibration of smart hull structure. It is observed that closed loop damping can be improved with suitable weighting factors in the developed LQG controller.

  • A vibration analysis for a rotating cantilever beam with the tapered cross section is presented in this study. The stiffness changes due to the stretching caused by centrifugal inertia forces when a tapered cantilever beam rotates about the axis perpendicular to its longitudinal axis. When the cross section of cantilever beam are assumed to decrease constantly, the mass and stiffness also change according to the variation of the thickness and width ratio of a tapered cantilever beam. Such phenomena result in variations of natural frequencies and mode shapes. Therefore it is important to the equations of motion in order to be obtained accurate predictions of these variations. The equations of motion of a rotating tapered cantilever beam are derived by using hybrid deformation variable modeling method and numerical results are obtained along with the angular velocity and the thickness and width ratio.

  • 본 연구에서는 매미가 소형이면서도 광대역의 소리를 낼 수 있는 원리가 무엇인지를 파악하고 이중 음향 발생 장치 제작에 적용할 수 있는 요소를 도출하였다. 매미의 발음기관에서 가장 중요한 부분은 복부 공명실과 진동판이다. 복부 공명실은 위상 반전형 인클로져 시스템으로 모델링 할 수 있으며, 진동판은 돔 형태의 박판으로 볼 수 있다. 근육에서 발생된 입력 신호는 진동판의 곡면에 의해 판에 좌굴을 일으켜 높은 음압의 소리를 발생시킨다. 발생된 소리는 복부를 통해 위상이 반전되어 특정 대역이 강조된다. 진동판의 가장 큰 특징은 곡면구조에 의한 비선형적인 출력이며 이를 통하여 가진 주파수와 상이한 주파수 성분들을 효과적으로 발생시키게 된다. 이러한 구조를 음향 발생장치로 활용하기 위하여 단순한 곡면판의 기하학적 파라미터 변화에 따른 출력 변화 경향을 관찰 하였으며, 이러한 원리를 활용한 음향 발생장치를 구성하였다.

  • In this paper the method of modeling and optimization for the joint of the vehicle structure is proposed. First it is described that the method of substituting equivalent beam elements to spring elements for the joint. The stiffnesses of the spring elementsare calculated using the section properties of equivalent beam elements. To get required dynamic characteristics section properties of equivalent beam element are set to design variables and optimized. The study shows that joint stiffnesses can be effectively determined in designing vehicle structure.
